DC RPG Season V Application
Screen Name: byrd_man
Character you would like to play: Bart Allen/Impulse/Kid Flash
Powers: Super speed, photographic memory, Speed Force clones, complete self-molecular control
Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): JLA (Possible) Teen Titans.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1) I've always had a thing for the Flashes
2) Bart is my second favorite, behind Wally.
3) With this addition. We should have all the Flashes in the game. (Including Bart's grandfather I believe.)
Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): Well. I won't turn Bart into the Flash, that's for sure. I also plan to bring him back to his carefree side. (Although not as Impulsive.)
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed.
Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Bold, Red, Tahoma.

I took a wrong turn at Albequrque.
Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):
Central City, Missouri.
Man. School is boring. This teacher is boring going on and on and on and on....well you get it. She's saying something about A plus B or C minus A. I don't know, sometimes I have a hard time following her for long.
"Mr. Allen! Are you paying attention?"
"Yes and the answer is B."
She gives me a curious look and nods her head.
"Your right. How did you know that?"
"Simple, I ran really fast and looked in your Teacher's Edition."
She rolls her eyes.
"Go to the principal's office."
I pick my Algebra book off the desk and walk out the room. When I get near the principal's office I hear him talking to the secretary.
"Don't be upset, but I heard on the radio that Heatwave was spotted a mile away."
SWOOSH!
"What was that?"
That was me. I'm Bart Allen, better known as Impulse...or Kid Flash if you want to be a dick about it.

Well, if Barry comes back to life, he might want his old job back, which makes Wally Kid Flash again, and Bart will be... Embryo Flash.

Yeah I saw that. There as no reason to get rid of Wally, change for the sake of change. I might even make Bart go back to the Impulse mantle.

SuperFerret, just thought you should know, Barry has been played before on the RPG... maybe Season II? He was brought to life by Hal, but then he went back to Heaven or wherever... just so you know...

Also, Bart has a history in this game. Long story short, he and Kara had a thing going on in season's past. Sadly though, the young couple were seperated when he was sent to the future by the Dark Alliance's Deathstroke and Shade when they attacked Titan's Tower (Bart was thought to be dead). There he was stuck with the Legion for a while until returning back to his own time with them during the Unity ordeal. He and Supergirl never got back together again as Bart needed some time on his own.
Later he was attacked by the Rogues when they organized and went after Keystone City while working for Luthor. He was beaten and had his legs broken in a warehouse until he was saved, by Wally if I remember right (he was kept from healing by the Turtle who drained him of his speed).

Cool. How many season back was all this? Also, I believe Bart was played briefly this season. Whoever it was tried to reunite the Titans.

Far as I know it goes back to season II, maybe even the first season (I started in season II which was when the DA stuff went down).

Alright. So time has passed and Bart should be better by now. With that info, he might be a little more serious and not act on a whim as much as he did before....can a brother get accepted?

Greetings. I take you away from your regularly scheduled OOC thread to bring you a special feature. We're in Season V of this game, and it's beginning to look more and more like we're winding down to the end of this one and the beginning of Season VI. Which makes this the fourth complete season I've been a (sporadic) part of, and I'm really genuinely proud to be a part of this little community within the Hype that we've built here. But enough sappiness (that'll come later), earlier today I was speaking with Byrd Man, and it came up that he didn't know that I once played the Man of Steel. Now, not to toot my own horn (especially since my Superman had been far over-shadowed by my successors), but I had made a lot of good posts as Clark, and I hopped on over to the Season II thread to check them out and be a nostaligic old fart.
What I rediscovered was quite possibly the greatest achievement in any of the Hype RPGs, and, quite truthfully, it brought a tear to my eye.
So without further adieu, I (as well as those who put an awesome amount of work into these posts) present to you the ending scenes of Season II of the World of Heroes DC RPG.
