The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season V Signup/OOC Thread

Which Windows OS do you use and would suggest? Will Home work alright? I'm rather cheap >.<

It's easier to just ask you than ask in the Mac thread, because it makes it more friendly. :yay:

In BootCamp you can only run Windows Professional SP2. (you can get Vista to work, but it's not supported). I think you can run any OS in Parallels (except maybe Vista because it's so new).

.....are you sure? Professional is quite a bit expensive :(

Vista sucks anyway.

Yeah. :( And it has to be the full version. I picked up the upgrade version first, and it wouldn't work. (At the point where it asks you to insert a cd from a prior version of Windows you're stuck because you can't eject the disc that's in there.) I did find a way online to fool BootCamp into using the upgrade version, but could never get it to work.

You might be able to find some good deals on Professional (I was lucky to get mine on sale). I remember someone on the Mac thread saying their friend had picked up a copy of Professional cheap. No idea how though.

Well, double-checking the BootCamp sight, it says it works with the full version of XP Home. They probably added it once they got out of beta.

What did people think of my last Gordon post? It was totally different from the stuff I normally write. You know, like, nobody got mutilated this time...

Yeah Keyser..it's kinda creepy in that there's no carnage ....:scared:

Where's the BootCamp site? I only saw the site with the beta download.
Also do you know anything about Office for Mac Student/teacher edition? It's cheaper and seems to have the same features which makes it better for me to get, but it says it only works if you're a student..and I don't 'get' that...how does it know when you stop being one?

Well, this is odd. I went to the link you already posted (Mac's BootCamp page). In the "What You'll Need" section, it list XP Home with SP2. But in the footnote, it says only only XP Professional and Vista work.

If you have a full version of Home available, it might be worth testing it out on BootCamp. If it works, you can always uninstall it and buy yourself another copy of Home for the Mac.

Well you just completely set the world off balance. Want to know how to balanced it once again? Chaos. Bloodshed. Banana. Phone. Part. Duex. :ninja:

No. Banana Phone kills kittens.

Oh, wait. That'll just encourage him.

Forget the kittens. It's time they took one for the team. We need the old Keyser back, dammit! :cmad:

:cmad: :cmad: YOU LEAVE MY BABIES ALONE!! :cmad: :cmad:

Don't panic, people. Joker has a pregnant woman in the trunk of his car. We'll be back to your regularly scheduled anarchy soon...

That's more like it. It's not fun unless an innocent is being hurt. :D

And, I should have a Mirror Master post up this weekend, in case anyone was wondering. I've hit a patch of writer's block for the arc in figuring out how to transition to the next part. I graduate this week (Friday is my last day :D) so I'll have a bit more time to figure a way around my problem. :o

Just realized I didn't answer your second question.

The only differences between Office for Students and Office Standard edition is the price. But it looks like you'll have to prove to either Microsoft or Apple that you're a student. (Unless it's like the PC version where you can pick it up in a store and not have to prove a damn thing )

I should have a new Skull post up either later today or tomorrow.
