The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season V Signup/OOC Thread

Perhaps now is the time where we should be checking who is still to finish their arc, and asking them how far they have to go?

I agree with ya. I'm done with Ollie, but I'll be done with Bart after the Rogue War and one final post.

I'm still wrestling with whether or not to end Clark's arc now, or finish up with the final post I had planned. Either way, at most, I've only got one post left.

Is there going to be a 2-3 month gap between seasons, this time, as always?

Same with Jay and Sinestro. After the war, I'll probably have a season ending post or two for each.

Twenty six applications?!

Jesus Christ!

Narrow it down, a little... :o

I already did. I originally planned on fifty two (52!) apps, but decided to split them between the DC and Marvel RPGs.

I'll try and have a good portion of the apps on paper by the end of the week, and from there I'm thinking about going with one app a day. Give me some lead time so I'm not rushing back into things.

Personally I think it'll be fun to see the good and the bad of the bunch I've chosen to submit.

Jesus Christ, Man! Pick someone! That's one of my biggest peeves in RPGs. Someone who can't decide who he wants to be. "Who is need most? Who should I be?" **** that ****. Be who you want to be.

But that's the problem. Some people don't know who they want to be, since some of the more obvious choices are gone.

You know how many people I went through before I settled with Batwoman? :o

Hypocrite. :o

Yeah, but...I guess I'm funny like that. I know what I want and I get it. My only regret is that I have Boneitis.

You quit all the RPGs so you could have more RL time? How much free time do you have? I know no one who has the time to make 26 apps all in the same time period.

I was talking to Master Bruce this evening, and we were in general speaking about the superhero teams in a few RPGs. One thing led to another and I realized, and he eventually agreed, that there are just some heroes that feels odd to be on certain teams. Perhaps it could have to do with how much you are exposed to each team, perhaps it could be something else...but I wish to propose an idea for the next season.

There's been talk about trying to get "The" League back together amongst ourselves here in the OOC thread, and it has been teased and hinted in the IC thread. What if when the so-called "Leage" reforms, they decide not to go with the same name? Why must it be the Justice League of America or the Justice Society of America? We are all creative fans here...let's make our own team. Come up with an awesome, witty, superhero team name and have the reformed "League" be that. I think it could also allow for more flexibility in the roster, because I for one--and I know I'm not alone--have certain mental blocks when it comes to certain people being added or removed from certain teams; and just because (not cause of a dislike or anything like that).

So you guys up for it? I think it would be awesome if the reformed League is an entirely new "team". New name and a more unique base of operations, etc etc.

Super Best Friends!

:o

The Atomic Skull and Prankster are now both toast. If someone ever wants to take up Loomis' character again, it's easy enough to say that he had a regular normal body hidden away somewhere just in case.

Anyway, yeah, I'm done for the season.

Sounds good to me. :yay:

I don't know, I like the idea of the big Leagues... literally. It makes for great aspirations for lesser characters (like Roy)...

But even if it was a new team and all...if he was still on the same team with characters like Supes...wouldn't it still be an aspiration? And technically, and even greater one because he would be founding a new team with those kind of heroes. Think big, GL. Big. :word:

What names are you thinking of? While I'm not 100% for this. Sometimes name changes can work. Young Justice was a cool for an original team name, in my opinion.

Well, it is just I have a strong mental block on certain characters being added and removed from certain teams. And I know I'm not alone on this because I've talked this over with a few peeps; some brief, and some long. And it really has nothing to do with disliking a character, because there isn't one character (hero) I've ever disliked before; except for Booster Gold til he redeemed himself in a way.

But nothing and I mean NOTHING screams the BIG TIME like the JUSTICE LEAGUE. A team of the same heroes under a different name just doesn't have the same oomph factor.

I think any team with the likes of Superman and one of the other big guns would have the same effect.
