The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season VI Signup/OOC Thread

Welcome to Season VI of the World Of Heroes DC Universe Role Playing Game!
Over the last few seasons, we have witnessed saviors fallen, only to arise again.
We've seen the brutality of a Dark Alliance and the horror of a world almost overtaken in a lust for power and revenge.
The attempted destruction of the human race, and a civilization fall under that same alien tyranny.

And worst yet, in the world's time of need, the dividing of Earth's greatest heroes, in the midst of those catastrophic events. Now, these same heroes look to take a world so desperately in need back into the hands of those who represent the very ideals that make them the protectors of mankind.

This season will mark the return of these heroes, and the beginning of what consequences lie in store for their resurrection. There will also be a new dawning in the age of this return, as two families join together, and one is ultimately torn apart, while somewhere, someway, a new threat begins calculating a final attempt to enslave the world newly united in the shadow of the restored Justice League Of America.

This RPG is based off of post-Crisis on Infinite Earths and pre-Identity/Infinite Crisis.

If you want to take part in this, just fill in the application at the bottom of this post and we'll put your name and character on the first post here. First come, first serve. Two characters are now allowed.

RULES

You can choose to be any superhero or supervillain in the DC Universe, as long as they:

Are to be established on Earth, as in, if Lobo is to be involved, he has to reside in a DCU Earth city...

Are NOT deities, gods, or people such as Shazam the Wizard. People like Superman and Captain Marvel are okay, though...

Are true to the personality and abilities of the character, such as NO Pre-Crisis Superman, no moving planets, sneezing away the Milky Way, no amnesia kiss... EVERYTHING is set POST-Crisis, and Post-Zero Hour, in the current continuity of the character you are/wish to play/playing.

Don't do anything RANDOM like chopping off board user's heads or what not, unless your a villain chopping off inanimate victims heads, then whatever, go with it, as long as it's not technically RANDOM.
Don't kill people without reason.
Don't randomly kill NPC's.

You know your weaknesses and strengths, what you can do or can't. Black Canary will lose against Superman one on one, but may be able to use her allies to help her out or she can run away. (HA! Yeah ri-ght)

Don’t kill a PC unless you have a plan to bring them back.
Don’t kill your character when you quit the RPG, this rob's a person from playing that character.

If there is a problem between you and another player,
or if you have question's please talk to one of the Game mas ters The list of Game masters is at the top of this post.

There should be MINIMAL cussing and swearing in posts.
There will be NO By-passing the censors. This is a Hype rule, and NO exceptions will be made for the RPG.

No obscene topics!

Should you not post as your character for two weeks, the GM or AGMs will post such in the OOC thread, and you will be in pending for removal from the roster. You will be granted 48 hours to get a post up when you hit this mark, and if a post is not up by then your character will be removed and you will have to re-apply for them. Any player who states going on hiatus, will be basically put on hold and reserved. However, abusing this to avoid the 2-week rule penalty will not be received well.

What to do in the RPG-

Act like your character; ASSUME their traits and personality...

You can form super villain gang’s superhero teams, alliances, the works.

There can be a number of stories (or arcs) going on at once, using different people.

There are endless places to go and endless things to do: ENDLESS possibilities so get creative...

People who disobey these rules, some more major than the others, will get BOOTED by the GM. If need be a Moderator will be called in.

Screen Name: Master Bruce

Character you would like to play: Superman

Powers and Brief Origin: Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound... Superman possesses the mighty abilities of super strength, speed, invulnerability to most forms of physical harm hindered only by magic and kryptonite radiation, multiple forms of vision that exert from his eyes (x-ray, laser, microscopic), super hearing, artic breath, and most recognizable of all, flight. Superman is also capable of lighting quick mental reflexes, allowing him to assume the best course of action needed in almost any given situation.

Sent from a distant world in peril, a rocket carrying an infant crash landed on Earth. Found by an elderly couple in Kansas, the boy grew to be Clark Joseph Kent. But as Clark grew into manhood, he became aware of abilities mightier than mortal men. Raised with a strong morality, Clark decided to use his powers for the good of mankind in the symbolism of Truth, Justice, and the American way. He became Superman, a champion of Tommorow. Fighting as one of the world's most iconic heroes since, Clark has married his love of ace reporter Lois Lane, died at the hands of a tyrant called Doomsday, and formed allieances with other heroes that would one day form into The Justice League. Now, with his wife missing for over three months following a devastating attack on the world, The Man Of Steel must cope with a world without the woman he loved, questioning if he will ever truly find her again.

Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): Part of my goal for this season is to have Clark make up for lost times, among both his friends and family, and the world as a whole. He recently died again for a few months, only to be ressurected... but when he returned, he barely was able to spend any time with his wife, his parents, or the League outside of combat. And Clark is very much a character that strives to be there for everyone in need... so I feel as if he'd take it upon himself to take time out of saving the world on a daily basis in order to do that... though, he definately won't shrug off that responsibility, either. I also want to change Clark's life by introducing a major element during the season that will alter every aspect of what makes him a hero.

And as for why I want to play him... well... come on. He's freaking Superman. No one passes up an opprotunity to play him, of all people.

For the first time in months, the world began to make a little sense to him again. He wasn't dead. He wasn't bouncing bullets off his chest, or stopping wildfires. Instead, he was laying down on the couch of his living room, with his wife curled up next to him. The man who had been hailed as Earth's greatest champion was revelling in the simplicity, the warmth, and the familiarity of this. Clark Kent was home. And nothing would take him away again.

Lois' head on his chest, as she drifted off to sleep, only made this more genuine. She had wore herself out with the combination of excitement, confusion, and happiness at her husband's return from the dead. He rested an arm on her back, and smiled.

But of course, he was too preoccupied to sleep himself. There was still far too much on his mind. He didn't even know where to go from here, much less how. He had been sent back for a reason... One of which he still was uncertain of. It left him worried... Not for himself, but for everyone else. Whatever he had been sent back to defend everyone against threatened all creation. Everything. Not just Earth, not just the Solar System... All the universe. All the multiverse. And Clark just wasn't sure he was right for that task.

Sighing to himself, Clark looked down at Lois, still in a deep slumber. His worries turned to happiness, once more, as he was reminded that he was back in her prescence. And finally, after many hours of unrelentless worrying and stress, Clark felt his eyes begin to close.

But like all joyous things in his life, it was only temporary. Clark awoke to a loud booming noise, entering his advanced hearing. At first, he thought it was near. But looking down, seeing that Lois was still asleep, it was obvious he was the only one who had heard it. Slipping from beneath her, Clark walked over to the nearest window, and peered out. Lifting his glasses slightly, Clark began to scan his view of Metropolis with his x-ray vision, to discover the origin of the noise.

Almost immediatley, Clark found himself thrown back, as a tremor suddenly errupted. Lois' head raised, as she looked around, frantically.

"Huh... wha..."

Clark looked back.

"My sentiments exactly.", Clark answered, before turning back to the window, and continuing his scan.

Eventually, Clark spotted something, in the sky. Two beings, one with a cape. One fighting the other. Though he couldn't penpoint exactly who they were, He knew that whatever had caused the tremor came from that same area. And if they continued, there was the possibility of another one.

Clark's fists grew tight. He couldn't let it happen. He wouldn't let his city fall right after he had returned. He had to put a stop to this madness, no matter who had spawned it. Clark turned back to Lois, looking at her in a way that said it all.

"I have to go.", He said, removing his glasses and handing them to her.

He expected Lois to fight him about it. But instead, she simply took them from his hands, and nodded.

"I-I know, Clark. I'm used to it.", Lois said, as she walked forward. Wrapping her arms around him, She gave him a tender kiss on the lips. "Just promise me that the headline for tommorow's edition of the Planet isn't going to be "Superman: Strike Three"."

Clark smiled. He had missed her wit, among other things. And that alone told him that he had to do everything in his power to come back alive.

"Not unless I'm the one writing it.", He responded.

And before Lois knew it, a blur of blue and red swept through the apartment, before exiting and heading out into Metropolis. She was used to that, too. Looking down at the pair of glasses in her hand, Lois smiled to herself, at the thought of tommorow's actual headline. One of which she would only begin writing minutes later.

In the city, hundred of onlookers watched as their returned savior was revealed as nothing more than a monstrous imitation. As he partook in battle with Sinestro, who did everything in his power to defend the city despite their earlier blinded hatred towards him, many of Metropolis' citizens found themselves in immediate peril.

Cars crashed into eachother from the shock of seeing their hero alive and well now held injured pedestrians, laid head first onto their steering wheels, bleeding outwardly. Others found themselves being hit with flaming debris from the false protector's attack on the meta-human police van. In total, there were twelve injured. Four crticically. With a flash of blue, every single one of them found themselves in Metropolis General, awaiting care from the still stunned staff that observed the chaos outside. They didn't know how or why, but in the back of each of their minds, an underlying thought occured simultaneously: There was a hero in Metropolis.

Many, however, questioned this as they did their best to dodge and evade the impersonator's attacks against Sinestro. Something had to be done. Order had to be restored. Before anyone could even blink, a figure appeared behind the rogue, pale superpowered being, and lightly tapped him on the shoulder. No one could even contemplate what was happening, due to the flying debris and general chaos around them, but some managed to catch glimpses.

"Excuse me,"

And every one of them found themselves in shock, seeing him, as the impersonator finally turned, eyes burning with crimson hatred. But even the impersonator found himself without words, as the figure floating above him him glared back, sternly.

"I believe that you're attacking my city. Using my name, and my abilities.", He continued. "I'm going to have to ask you to cease this."

Many onlookers would tell this tale for many years to come. The day they witnessed the catastrophic but amazing battle between two titans, or the day that a lost hope had finally been restored. The day that Metropolis' greatest champion resumed his place in the world, as their savior. But many would simply remember it as the day that Superman returned.

Character you would like to play: Rose Wilson, AKA Ravager.

Powers: precognitive ability to see into the future; possessing chemically augmented strength, speed, stamina, agility and intelligence. Excellent hand-to-hand combatant skilled in martial arts and swordsmanship.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): Teen Titans.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Her character has become very interesting over the Teen Titans series.

2) I love D-stroke. So his daughter will be just as fun.

3) Cat fights with Cassie and seducing Robin.

I want to show her struggle from being always recognized as the daughter of a killer, and trying to break free and become her own person.

Drug dealers roam the dark streets of downtown Anaheim as crime runs a muck. In one of the dark alleyways, several men unload boxes from the back of an unmarked van. One of the men takes out his knife and cuts open a box. He lifts the lid, and reveals dozens of pillows neatly stacked. He cuts open one of the pillows and pulls out a bag of marijuana. He smiles, and stuffs it back into the pillow.

"This is it, boys. Load them inside."

Unknown to the drug smugglers below, a figure watches from atop of the building. The figure calls out to them, and drops from the rooftop, onto the ground in front of them.

"Hello boys."

It is Ravager. Daughter of the most skilled killer on the planet, Deathstroke. The men stop carrying the boxes, and drop them to the floor. They walk closer to her with evil smirks on their faces.

"Well hello there, girlie."

"Yeah. What's a little girl doing out here in the middle of the night, huh? Don't you know this place is dangerous?" He says with a chuckle.

She smiles, and walks slowly around them. As she moves, she walks seductively, luring the men to her.

"Oh, I know its dangerous out here, boys. I just wanted some fresh air. I'm looking for some fun."

"Oh, heh, heh, we'll give you some fun alright." Ravager stops, and stands with her hands on her hips.

"Oh, I sure hope so."

"Get her!" The men quickly run towards her. She flips into the air, and twirls over two of the men, causing them to run into eachother. She lands with ease on the hard concrete floor, and holds her position, as a smile comes across her face.

"Nice try, boys. But I like to play hard to get."

"Rgh, I'll show you hard to get!"

One of the men runs towards her, he takes out a switchblade, and holds it, ready to stab. He gets within a few feet of Ravager before she quickly kicks the blade from his hand. She pulls a sword from the sheath on her back, and holds it to the mans neck.

"Am I being to rough?" The man stares at her in fear as she smoothly slides the blade over his neck, only meer milimeters from touching his skin. amd cutting his throat.

"Who the hell are you, *****?"

"Me? I told you. Just a girl looking for fun." Ravager quickly sheaths the blade, and steps away from the man. She starts to walk away as the man gets up and lunges towards her. She spins her leg around as her foot makes contact with his chin. The man violently flips through the air as a loud crack resonates through the street. She turns to the other men, laying bloody and bruised on the ground.

"I can trust you boys to wait her for the cops, right?"

The men grunt in anger, as they ball their fists.

"Ok then."

She leaps through the air with ease. Within less then a few seconds, she lands on the men's legs. They scream and yell in pain as a loud crack and pop sounds from their legs.

"Well, now you have no choice, do you?" The men groan and hold their legs in agony, as they nod in agreement. Ravager smiles, and walks away down the alley. "See you around boys."

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): Ollie has no powers to speak of, but he is the world's greatest archer and is adept in martial arts after last season. Oliver Queen was a playboy until he was stranded on a desert island where he learned to survive. Ollie then took his skills and became a crime fighter. The Green Arrow!

I plan on having Ollie in the white house this season...as president of the United States. This will allow me countless political stories to tell using his perspective. Also, I chose Ollie because he is one of my favorite comic characters and you can't beat that.

Time marches on, like it always does.

Next thing I know, I'm in my office in Star sitting across the desk from the short fat man.

"Are you sure you want me?"

"Who else would we get? I mean, you have all the things that we need. You're loud, outspoken, liberal. Everything he isn't."

I bite my lip and look out the window. This decision will change my life, all depends on how I play it.

"......What the hell? I'm in."

I stand up and shake the fat man's hand, he smiles as we start to walk out my office together.

"Smart man, Mister Queen, smart man."

The next day, and I'm walking into the press confrence. I told Roy, Connor, and Mia to watch. I only wish Dinah was awake to see it.

I grip the podium and stand infront of the mic.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. I suppose you all came here to hear me gab for a little while."

The crowd laughs as I press on.

"Well, today. I'm here to gab about something else. America, and the state it's in. Once the greatest country in the world, our country has become shambles of it's former self. One reason why, is our leadership. I believe the halls of Washington have become filled with corrupt criminals and crooks. The worst of these is our Commander-In-Theif, Lex Luthor."

I pause for a moment, I slowly rub my neck before looking into the cameras.

"I guess, what I'm here to say is this....I, Oliver Queen, being of sound mind and incredible body, intend to run for president. Starting now, we begin a new chapter in America."

I smile as people gasp and clap. I can almost hear Roy, Connor, and Mia's combine words....

"Dad, you..."

"Dumb son..."

"Of a *****..."

The flashblub of the cameras go off as I flash a peace sign and smile.

"I'm Oliver Queen and I'm on a mission to save America."

I get a standing ovation from the crowd as I leave the stage.

It's good to be the king.

"Well, now you have no choice, do you?" The men groan and hold their legs in agony, as they nod in agreement. Ravager smiles, and walks away down the alley. "See you around boys."

Batwoman uses a vast arsenal of technology, expert training, and keen intellect in a manner patterned both directly and indirectly off of Batman himself. In the wake of the devastating earthquake that hit Gotham City years ago, turning it into a "No Man's Land", the young Katherine Kane of the wealthy Kane family estate desperately wanted to reach out and help those left poverty and sickness as a result of the quake's untimely destruction. But her parents, seeing them as a lower class than the circles they ran in, refused, and forbidded her from meddling in such affairs. Embittered by their cold, heartless outlook on the less fortunate, Katherine secretly began training herself to make up for not being able to help before, deciding she would take a more direct mission on... protecting those same innocents. She has now adopted the monkier of The Batwoman, using the fear instilled in the criminal element by Batman to aide her mission and rid Gotham of the cold and heartless criminals that rot it.

My Batwoman isn't going to be the same Batwoman in 52, or current continuity. While I'll be taking some things from that version (IE: Her status as a lesbian, and a billionaire heiress with a clear amount of training), I also want to incorperate my own elements, modernising traits of the pre-Crisis Batwoman, and even some of the Elseworlds incarnations of the character. Quite simply, this isn't going to be someone else's Batwoman. This is going to be my Batwoman.

Across the city, a woman found herself fighting for her life.

Ambushed at her home by hoodlums that had wanted to collect a fauxed payment brought on in between a small-time war of rival gangs, the woman had refused to pay. Now, though, even remembering the injustice of such a request... she was beginning to regret that answer. Climbing over a steel fence in the middle of an abandoned alley, the woman looked back for only a second, seeing her would-be captors well in pursuit. Pushing herself, she leaped, and landed on the other side, towards freedom.

That's when three other men rounded the corner.

Stopping in her tracks, the already panicked woman looked back and forth, trying to weigh out any options for escape. But it was an effort wasted, as she soon realised she was surrounded. Backing into a corner, sliding down to the concrete she stood upon, she kneeled in a frightened position, clearly wishing her attackers away.

"Please... Please, just leave me alone...", She pleaded, in a whimper. "I have a daughter, for godsakes."

"Tough luck for her,", The gang's leader snarled, bringing out a switchblade from his jacket. "We told ya last week. You either pay up for protection, or you gonna really need protection."

"Oh god... Please. Please, I... I don't have the money! I just don't!", The woman screamed.

"Not our problem.", Another argued, picking up a chain and pulling it tightly around his fist. "Should'a found a way to take us seriously. Let's get her, guys!"

"Believe me, fellas..."

They all paused. The voice that had just appeared loudly over the area didn't belong to anyone they knew. Infact, it seemed to be coming from all directions, at once. The thugs frantically looked around, trying to find the origin... but were unsuccessful in doing so, as the voice errupted again, with the same confidence echoing out at them.

"No one in their right mind would take you clowns seriously."

It wasn't seconds later that a loud metal clang could be heard, within the gang's surrounding group. Two fell flat on the ground, knocked unconcious, as the lid to an aluminum garbage can rolled across where they had once stood. Looking up, the thug's eyes widened simultaneously as the distinct rustle of thick leather came booming from the darkness. One name came to the minds of every gang member in that alleyway.

"B... Batman?!"

"Please,"

And then, they saw it. Leaping from the darkness above them, a figure came swooping down, kicking two of the thugs across the face, and downing them in an instant. The gang backed away, as the dark figure remained crouched on the ground, before standing, and turning, revealing herself in full for the first time. Clad in a grey bodysuit, overlapped by dark boots, gloves, trunks, a chest emblem, and horned cowl, the most distinctive feature on the woman's posture was her cold, almost pitying smirk, as she readied for an attack.

"Don't insult me."

Time marches on, like it always does.

Next thing I know, I'm in my office in Star sitting across the desk from the short fat man.

"Are you sure you want me?"

"Who else would we get? I mean, you have all the things that we need. You're loud, outspoken, liberal. Everything he isn't."

I bite my lip and look out the window. This decision will change my life, all depends on how I play it.

"......What the hell? I'm in."

I stand up and shake the fat man's hand, he smiles as we start to walk out my office together.

"Smart man, Mister Queen, smart man."

The next day, and I'm walking into the press confrence. I told Roy, Connor, and Mia to watch. I only wish Dinah was awake to see it.

I grip the podium and stand infront of the mic.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. I suppose you all came here to hear me gab for a little while."

The crowd laughs as I press on.

"Well, today. I'm here to gab about something else. America, and the state it's in. Once the greatest country in the world, our country has become shambles of it's former self. One reason why, is our leadership. I believe the halls of Washington have become filled with corrupt criminals and crooks. The worst of these is our Commander-In-Theif, Lex Luthor."

I pause for a moment, I slowly rub my neck before looking into the cameras.

"I guess, what I'm here to say is this....I, Oliver Queen, being of sound mind and incredible body, intend to run for president. Starting now, we begin a new chapter in America."

I smile as people gasp and clap. I can almost hear Roy, Connor, and Mia's combine words....

"Dad, you..."

"Dumb son..."

"Of a *****..."

The flashblub of the cameras go off as I flash a peace sign and smile.

"I'm Oliver Queen and I'm on a mission to save America."

I get a standing ovation from the crowd as I leave the stage.

None, but the Nth Metal he uses grants him a few goodies. Nth metal allows for flight, enhanced eyesight, temperature regulation, limited physical regeneration, and enhanced strength; artificial feather wings; archaic weaponry; reincarnation.

In the days of ancient Egypt, Prince Khufu became engaged in a feud with his rival, the Egyptian priest Hath-Set. The priest eventually captures both Khufu and his consort Chay-Ara, and kills them. Millennia later, in 1940, Khufu is reincarnated as American archaeologist Carter Hall, and Chay-Ara as Shiera Saunders.

I hope I can explore his mythos the way I have with Aquaman. I've really tried to expose people to a character they probably looked the other way with; should hopefully be able to do the same with Hawkman. I plan to be taking off from his most recent Hawkman title before the Rann-Thanagar War and before Infinite Crisis takes place. No major events will be pulled into the RPG's continuity however. I am simply wanting to have what has been done up to that point of his own personal title to be in continuity because it is a great place to take off from.

Patrolling the streets of St. Roch has never been a boring task. Hawkgirl and I have guarded its skies for so long, yet the desperate and the very stupid criminals still lurk in the shadows. Were this another life, surely eliminating such a statistic such as crime would be much more simple.

We would've simply hung them by their necks, and leave them out for all to see. It was a painful method, for many times the necks would snap, but not to the point where it caused quick and painless death. Sometimes the damned scumbags would just hang there, waiting for their time to end; suffering every second of pain. Then all who chose such a life would fear and know the punishments for their actions. Odd, for today any common folk would look back at such actions and label them as barbaric. But it was merely a means of practicing justice and order in our day. It sure got the job done too.

"Help! Help!"

"Shut up! Just...just shut up! Gimme your purse, and I won't hurt--"

"HELP! HELP!"

"I SAID, SHUT--AAAAAHHH!!!"

I swoop down and lift him into the skies. He screams for a bit; they always do. As I fly across the town of St. Roch, carrying this idiot with me, I look down and see the lamp posts. Too bad, they would make great hanging posts. But alas, that was another life. Justice used to be so much more swift. However, overtime we learn to adapt to newer methods. I stop in the air, and turn him around.

"Stealing money from a woman, no matter what her age, isn't the most noble of things to do is it?"

"P-P-Please! Don't...don't drop me! Don't--"

"Are you denying that stealing money from a woman, no matter what her age, isn't the most noble of things to do or not? I didn't receive an answer."

The sound of police sirens are audible to my keen ears. Good girl, she ran to the police. In any moment, the squad cars of St. Roch's finest will be speeding down this street. Cops. They have means of interrogation where they play the game "good cop, bad cop". I believe the game is stupid, and entirely a waste of time. I'd much rather skip straight to playing the "bad cop" and get it over with. Crime thrives on society's understandings. Oh, what I'd do to re-live the glory days as a British Commodore pursuing pirates with that great Caribbean blue sky blanketing us.

"I--I'm sorry! I won't do it again. Just please don't drop me!"

"Sorry doesn't cut it. Perhaps in the next life, you will consider the consequences of your actions. Farewell."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

I let him drop, and he screams. Cry baby. He was too scared to notice that just below us was a garbage dumpster. At the altitude we were at, the most he would get from the drop would be a few small cuts and bruises. When he drops down, I swoop down, closing the top to the dumpster. The sound of the police sirens come that much louder that even he can hear them out. The officers step out of the car.

"I think you will find the cowardly purse-thief in here, officers. Now if you'd excuse me..."

"...I must be on my way."

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): Superboy has most of the abilities of Superman: strength, speed, flight, heat-vision, x-ray vision, invulnerability. But Superboy has an added bonus of tactile telekinesis.

Superboy is a clone of Superman mixed with Lex Luthor. Superboy started as a replacement for Superman when he died. Now, he has formed his own identity, and he is coming out of a year-long coma...

Nancy entered Room 334 on the 4th floor of Metropolis General Hospital. It was the same routine every day. Only today, when she entered, the curtain had been pulled around Superboy's bed. Not thinking anything of it, Nancy asked, "How's my favorite patient doing?"

She, of course, did not expect a response. That's why she was not startled by the silence that answered her. If anything, she'd be shocked if the comatose superhero DID answer her. Nancy continued to go about her routine of cleaning the room and putting everything in its place.

Finally, she made her way over to Superboy's bed. She grabbed the curtain and pulled it aside. What she saw caused her to drop her clipboard. The bed where a comatose Superboy should be is now empty.

"Someone come quickly!" Nancy shouts. She runs out of the room and grabs the nearest orderly. "Come with me!"

Nancy leads the orderly into the empty room. By now, a crowd has gathered outside the door. A doctor pushes his way through the crowd to get in the room.

"What's going on here?"

All eyes fall upon the open window. The doctor walks over to it and peers out into the sky.

High above the skyline of Metropolis, I soak in all the sights and sounds of the city that I missed for so long.

Arthur Curry, Orin, Aquaman

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences):
Undersea adaptation; telepathy; super strength; enhanced speed; Healing factor; senses and durability; extra resistance to heat/energy based attacks; mystically enchanted left hand.

His father is actually also his great ancestor and a powerful Atlantean wizard. His mother was the Queen of Atlantis at that time, but her mate and lover was unable to make her pregnant. Persuaded by the great Atlan so that she could give her King the heir he always wanted, they made love and she became pregnant. When it was discovered that the Queen was having a baby, the King grew curious because he knew he couldn't have been the father. Also ironically, while she was pregnant the Queen would find herself followed every so constantly by the sea animals for some bizarre reason; little did she know was because her baby was special and had a bond with them. After the young baby was born (Aquaman), the King saw that he had blonde hair, and immediately ordered that he be left to die on Mercy's Reef for he wore the Curse of Kordax because of his hair color. The baby survived however and grew to be the King of the Sevens Seas, Aquaman.

Character you would like to play (please include the color and font you plan on using to portray the character): Bart Allen/Kid Flash

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): As far as powers, Bart is a speedster and has all the abilites of Wally and Jay. One of the few one ups Bart has on other Flashes is his ability to retain what he speed reads through his photographic memory. As far as origin, Bart is the grandson of the original Flash, Barry Allen. Bart was born in the future and his superspeed caused his aging to be so bad that he looked 11 when he was really 3. His grandmother sent him back into time and with his cousin Wally's help, supershocked Bart's metabolism back to normal levels (normal for a speedster anyway). Bart now races through the twin cities as Kid Flash.

22 Hours Until Now

I walk up the steps and knock on the screen door.
It only takes a few seconds for the door to swing open.

"You're 23 seconds late..."

I smile as I look through the screen door. One of the more annoying qualities of time travellers

"Grandma Iris, I..."

She smiles as she unlatches the screen and beckons me in.

"Come on in, Bart."

I follow her into the living room. Almost all of the room's wall space is filled with pictures. There's Grandpa Barry in and out his Flash uniform, Wally and Linda, Jay with Joan, and even me.

"I'd ask you if you want something to drink, but I know you'll say no."

I follow her into the kitchen and lean against the threshold into the kitchen.

"How do you know if you don't ask?"

"Do you want something to drink? All I have is coffee and green tea."

"Eww, no."

She arches her eyebrow as she puts the coffee on.

"Look, Grandma..."

"I know why you're here Bart and yes."

I feel a bit flustered as I try to talk.

"...Ar-...are you sure?"

My heart's thumping as I stand a few people back.

The sun beats down on my graduation gown, it's Flash scarlett. You gotta love the twin cities and their blatant love for all things Flash.

Will walks across the stage and smile as he plucks the diploma out of the principal's hand.

"Bartholomew Henry Allen."

I take a deep breath as I walk across the stage, my eyes drift a bit as I look out into the crowd.

Kara, Wally, Jay, Joan, Grandma Iris, Linda and the twins are watching. I even spot Tim sitting with Vic and Gar. (Who stick out like sore thumbs by the way)

I take the diploma with my left hand and shake the principal's hand with my right.

"Congratulations, son."

I smile as I break the handshake and start to walk off the stage. I feel about ten feet tall as I join my other classmates.

"Thanks."

1 Hour Until Now

"Alright, guys. Burgers are almost ready tell me what you want on them."

Jay flips the burgers while Wally watches from behind.

"You're flipping them too soon. They won't cook right."

"Son, I've been cooking out since before you were messing in your undies."

It's a little party held in my honor, of all things. Jay managed to get a picnic area down by the river. Actually, it's my graduation and celebration of Wally and Linda finding a new house.

Gar turns into a butterfly and plays with the twins while Vic and Tim sit on a picnic table and talk about current events.

"Just dissapeared?"

"That's what Cassie said. She went to go see him and they said Conner was gone."

Before I can listen in anymore, something grabs my arm and pulls me towards the river bank.

"Come here, Bart. I haven't given you your graduation present yet."

Now

I sit on the river bank and look out at the water while Kara sits next to me, holding my hand.

"It's not a good a view as Mexico, but like I said. Having you here makes it 100% better."

I take a deep breath and start to stand up.

"Walk with me?"

Kara smiles as we both stand up and walk down the riverbank hand in hand.

"Sure."

The sun's already starting to sink low in the west, casting an eerie shadow on Blackgate and making it look like a haunted house off in the distance. My throat feels as dry as the Sahara as we crunch through the sand and mud of the riverbank, my toes digging into the muck.

"You know, Kara. I was thinking..."

"Uh-oh. Two thoughts in two days? The end is nigh!!"

I manage a feeble laugh as my hand digs inside my pocket.

"Y-yeah...anyway. I know we haven't been together long, but we have a good thing going. I can feel it...."

The little devil and angel pop up on my shoulder. The angel is Max, the devil is Impulse.

You dumbass, Bart!!!! Don't do it! Don't do it!

Bart, don't listen to him, my boy. You must do what is right. Search your feelings For what you know to be true....

Undersea adaptation; telepathy; super strength; enhanced speed; Healing factor; senses and durability; extra resistance to heat/energy based attacks; mystically enchanted left hand.

His father is actually also his great ancestor and a powerful Atlantean wizard. His mother was the Queen of Atlantis at that time, but her mate and lover was unable to make her pregnant. Persuaded by the great Atlan so that she could give her King the heir he always wanted, they made love and she became pregnant. When it was discovered that the Queen was having a baby, the King grew curious because he knew he couldn't have been the father. Also ironically, while she was pregnant the Queen would find herself followed every so constantly by the sea animals for some bizarre reason; little did she know was because her baby was special and had a bond with them. After the young baby was born (Aquaman), the King saw that he had blonde hair, and immediately ordered that he be left to die on Mercy's Reef for he wore the Curse of Kordax because of his hair color. The baby survived however and grew to be the King of the Sevens Seas, Aquaman.

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): As far as powers, Bart is a speedster and has all the abilites of Wally and Jay. One of the few one ups Bart has on other Flashes is his ability to retain what he speed reads through his photographic memory. As far as origin, Bart is the grandson of the original Flash, Barry Allen. Bart was born in the future and his superspeed caused his aging to be so bad that he looked 11 when he was really 3. His grandmother sent him back into time and with his cousin Wally's help, supershocked Bart's metabolism back to normal levels (normal for a speedster anyway). Bart now races through the twin cities as Kid Flash.

I walk up the steps and knock on the screen door.
It only takes a few seconds for the door to swing open.

"You're 23 seconds late..."

I smile as I look through the screen door. One of the more annoying qualities of time travellers

"Grandma Iris, I..."

She smiles as she unlatches the screen and beckons me in.

"Come on in, Bart."

I follow her into the living room. Almost all of the room's wall space is filled with pictures. There's Grandpa Barry in and out his Flash uniform, Wally and Linda, Jay with Joan, and even me.

"I'd ask you if you want something to drink, but I know you'll say no."

I follow her into the kitchen and lean against the threshold into the kitchen.

"How do you know if you don't ask?"

"Do you want something to drink? All I have is coffee and green tea."

"Eww, no."

She arches her eyebrow as she puts the coffee on.

"Look, Grandma..."

"I know why you're here Bart and yes."

I feel a bit flustered as I try to talk.

Harvey sat down in the soft cold relaxing areas of his white heaven resting his head on the wall like a pillow trying to close his eyes.

Harvey clenched his fist and sprung into the air.

His voice echoed across his paradise, his own little box outside the world now disrupted of the hellish neighbor next to him.

Roy's pulse was racing, and his pain receptors were starting to overload. His body started spasming and as he rolled over, he threw up again.

Inside his head, his psyche fought to regain control amidst the madness.

In his vision he saw flames lick the sky like the buildings of Metropolis around him. In the air above him he saw six birds. He could tell that they were all hawks, his spirit guide. Here to lead the way for him as they had done so many times before.

~~~~~"So kid, Brave Bow here tells me you're a good shot, show me what you got."

"What do you want me to do, Mr. Green Arrow... Sir?"

The archer pointed to the sky above. A dot in the sky, that Roy could tell was a hawk.

"Shoot that hawk"

"I can't hurt the hawk. He's my spirit guide."

"Oh well, just thought a tail feather would look cool in my cap."

Roy raised his bow, and took aim at the hawk. He let the arrow go, and the hawk flew away. Roy ran in the direction of his shot.

"Aw kid you didn't hit... holy s**t."

In the ground near Roy's feet, impaled by his arrow was a single tail feather.~~~~~

One of the hawks in Roy's dream dived at the ground. It was a gross monstrosity of what a hawk looks like, warped by the drugs in his veins. It screeched at him and he jumped back. The shape of the hawk started to change forms. It became a man familiar to Roy, one who had been his first surrogate father, before Ollie. Raymond Begote. Brave Bow as Ollie called him. It was a distorted version, but one still recognisable to Roy.

"Lost Arrow. Roy Harper. You have disgraced your dine'e'. You have abused the natural substances of the world. You have disgraced yourself."

~~~~"You must leave Nat-sees-an."

Roy at thirteen was crushed. Tears streamed down his face. He felt betrayed by his brothers, his family.

"You are Bela Gona. The white man. Your place is not here. You must find it yourself."~~~~

"Just a minute now. Its YOU who abandoned me. Left ME on MY own. I kicked the habit on my own with no help from you, or from Ollie."

The shape in front of him morphed again, taking on the appearance of a demonic version of Oliver Queen.

"Its a weak boy who'd turn to drugs in the first place Speedy."

"If I was weak, it was because you always cared more about the thrills of playing hero with Hal and banging Dinah than raising me. It took a weak boy to get hooked, but a weaker man to turn his back on that hooked boy."

Before the argument could continue, the person in front of him changed again, and the walls of flames around him dissapeared, replaced by a blinding white light. In the middle of that light was the woman who was Roy's rock. His best friend. His lover. His teammate. The woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with but wouldn't get the chance. She wasn't corrupted as she wasn't one of Roy's demons. Instead she was purer in his mind than she had even been in life. A brilliant example of what angels should be.

[COLOR=Sienna]"Donna. Its you..."

Screen Name: Watchman

Character you would like to play (please include the color and font you plan on using to portray the character): Prometheus Century Gothic Purple

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): Prometheus made a vow to fight against the forces of justice after witnessing his criminal parents gunned down by police (Sound familiar). His parents left a fortune and along with money from extorting mob bosses he funded his training, education, and technology. During his training at a monastery, whose monks worshiped evil, he found out that the it was built on top of a spaceship. Their leader showed them this who transformed into one of the aliens who Prometheus killed, who he obtained the Ghost Key off of. The Ghost Key allows him entrance to the Ghost Zone, also known as Limbo and more famously the Phantom Zone.

Prometheus has powers but he is an expert in unarmed and armed combat. He also possess a genius level intelligence. Besides this Prometheus has access to alien technology and has an array of gadgets. Most notably a helmet that downloads information into his brain. For example, he can copy the fighting styles of the world's best fighters, steel night stick that he program for numerous purposes, and the ghost key.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): Injustice Gang

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar. One to explain what you plan to do with the character you've chosen. The other to explain why you've chosen this character. (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): I'm going to use Prometheus as the focal point in my villains storyline and as the leader of the new Injustice Gang. I wanted to use him since reading his story in the awesome Grant Morrison run where he took down the whole Justice League.

I made a vow to my parents. One to upload injustice everywhere. Over my years of serving injustice the greatest symbol justice has stood in my way, the Justice League but right now they have other problems the police. They had surrounded Scarecrow's hideout and they had to leave.

"By the sounds of things out there SWAT has arrived, all armed to the teeth with standard issued MP5s. Also, we are servilely outnumber."

"How do we get out of here?"

"I have a plan." The footsteps get closer and closer. I listen and wait until they are right near us and I press the button on my wrist. The explosion rips through the hideout killing all of SWAT. I take out the Ghost Key and activate it.

"Where are we?"

"My home"

"Was killing the SWAT necessary?"

"Absolutely" I say with a smile.
