"Constantine and I are going to use the Challenge of Merlin on Morlun. It is an ancient ritual in which two parties make a deal and/or bet, and both parties are mystically forced to keep up their end of the deal. I'm going to try and outwit Morlun."

OOC: And who exactly is backing up this mystical ritual? Mordu's one of the most powerful magical beings in comicdom...

OOC: It's one of the most sacred of rituals forged from the oldest of magics. It'll be explaned in full later on.

Hal returns in the Watchtower, wearing some strange armor that if it weren't for the Lantern symbol, would remind me more of Paralax. I'll have to watch him carefully, just in case.

Then I hear Question's plan.

"Wait, let me see if I got this straight: You plan to outwit a man who is old enough to be VANDAL SAVAGE'S grandfather.

"I think it would be a good idea to have some back-up plans, just to be safe."

Clark leaned over and brought Kara near him in a comforting embrace. "Yes, you are Kara. You are a hero." He whispered, "Believe me, I know how a hero is supposed to act, and you are near the top of my list for bravery. Bart's death was not your fault, and despite our inability to bring him back, giving up now will extinguish whatever memory of him that remains."
"I may be brave Kal, but thats not all that makes a hero. I was rash, rushed into a fight that I shouldn't have. Why? Because I wanted revenge. I wanted to feel his face break under my fists, like he felt mine break under his. I went there wanting, no needing, to kill him Kal, thats not something a hero would But I saw Bart Kal, I SAW him. He's not dead, he CAN'T BE!" From her bed Kara punched the nearby wall, the station shook under the impact and basketball sized hole could be seen in the wall.

Tony Gambi steps out onto one of the seemingly limitless streets of Keystone City from his apartment. He stands on the curb for a moment, smoke pluming from underground vents around him. He fidgets with his clothings, malcontent with the tight fit of his trench coat. He just barely manages to tie it around him waist... Not a very considerable market for clothing to fit seven foot five, three hundred and sixty five pound... man. Pulling his hat ever so slightly over his eyes, he continues to his destination, his first step towards more power... Perhaps absolute power. Feh, he never was one to think too too deeply. Not on account of any intellectual shortcoming, on the contray... It's simply always been easier, especially for this particuler troubled young... man.

The word seems someone foreign to him. Even the process of speaking it in his head now makes him uneasy. No... not uneasy... Gah, there he goes again.

But regardless of his willingness to think too deeply into most things, the current situation of Keystone City is all too clear... Utter havok. Not so bad in his particuler area, but from what he saw on his ancient TV resting on a fruit box in his apartment, they coulden't get much worse elsewhere. Thankfully, he was one of the recipients of a serum to protect himself from the mystical fear gas that is all too adundant in the city as of now, it almost has replaced the very air. Thank Cold for that... With his sort of power, losing control in a densley populated area such as this would cause untold untold death and destruction... And those have never been two things that Tony Gambi has been very comfortable with... If they're not in regards to The Flash that is.

Perhaps the Rogue situation is not as bad as he first feared. Some are still missing, most notably Captain Boomerang, but, from his short conversation with Captain Cold, his friend... Hell, even his father figure, things could be worse. "The rogues are a tough and capable bunch", he thinks too himself as he strides in massive steps to his location, given to him earlier not too long ago this very day by Captain Cold.

He inquired as to a unique item to Cold, one he had heard about passingly not very long ago. Supposedly the man to... wear this amazing piece of technology confronted The Flash only days before he himself became The Replicant.

His destination. Behind a dilapidated building, down a very short flight of steps. He knocks several times, as directed. A slot opens in the door, and desperate eyes peek out at Tony Gambi. "Password" speaks the man, nonchalantly. "Goldface" Replicant says without missing a beat.

The man tending to the door lets out a chuckle and immediantly drops the tough guy act. "Come right in Tony" he says, hand on Tony's back... "You know, usually I don't even ask for a password, but I just felt like messing around with you". The man attempts to shake Tony a bit, a friendly gesture. But Replicant is no longer a little boy, he no longer looks up to these men with unwavering devotion... Respect and admiration other things... But his view has changed. Especially considering this man is but a low level "tailor" to the rogues.

Tony Gambi takes it all in stride however, and within minutes he is given his "package". Yanking off the top of the suprisingly light wooden box, he lifts the strange garmet from inside.

The man speaks up... "Helluva thing, that suit. Lets its wearer move in-between dimensions I suppose. The 2nd, the 3rd, an' the fourth. 2nd I guess you're flat as a sheet of paper, and can't be touched... Not ta' mention you can effortlessy slice through just about anything. 3d, well, that explains itself... And, well, I guess I'll let you figure the rest out, I don't want to bore ya'."

Tony Gambi very well knows the potential of this suit. The wearer can go absolutely anywhere within this reality, nothing can stop you. You could also turn a three dimensional being into a 2d one, rendering them practially powerless in almost every way.

But, he will not wear this suit... No... Hand outstretched, he breaks the suit down into a technological mental imprint, and absorbs it into his body. "Ahhhh " he lets loose... "Always good to broaden your horizons... And this is only the beginning...?

But, Tony Gambi has priorities... Ones that are even more urgent considering the disarray the heroes are in... They haven't been this unorganized... Well, since ever. And so, logic dictates that his fnext stop be... The Trophy Room of the JLA satellite!

"Then we just get Spectre's ass over here. Unless we got ourselves a garunteed win here, I don't want to be risking any more lives."

Just then the beacon starts going off on the computers. I turn around to see where it's coming from and...Oh no.

The beacon is only sent when we have BIG, BIG trouble on our hands and with the Deadly Alliance being in perfect form these days...Keystone City is in big trouble.

"Guys, we got a problem!"

Shade snapped his head up as Mordru had finished talking to him. He wiped the sweat off of his upper lip and looked around without saying a word. He composed himself and cleared his throat. "Yes...well, I'm ready when Deathstroke is."- he said stiffly.

A portal opened and the shadow imp walked out. It carried two bows, one red and one green. Shade stared wide eyed at his servant and gripped the armrests tightly. "Here, master. New trophies, like you asked!!"- the small creature said. Shade looked bewildered, but tried to hide it. "Ah...Yes! Very good. Um, take it back to the Shadow Lands."- Shade answered. "Master, but you said..."- the creature protested. "NOW, I said! Get out of my sight, you sniveling little toad."- Shade said while turning his head away from the small creature. The shadow imp retreated to the portal taking the bows with it.

Shade reached for the drink Mordru had conjured up for him with a trembling hand, he gulped it down greedily as if looking for something to steel his nerves. He sat there quietly, which was uncommon for him, and tried to collect his thoughts. He didn't have any recollection of what had happened after Mia called for help. He felt enraged and then...he was here. And he apparently took care of the archers. A cold feeling spread to his heart as he realized that he had had a blackout and that hadn't happened since...but, his "other" had been exorcised. This was unsettling. So unsettling that he preferred to focus on something else- "Slade, are you ready for that stealth mission?"
"Ready when you are... Shade." the Terminator looked at the person before him warily, the Shade seemed a little unhinged. "Just have to wait till the heroes split..." the mask hardly disguised his sinister smile.

"Do you think just because we're not human we shouldn't act human, Kara? Have you seen my actions of the past few days? I've sulked like a child while my friends died. I even planned exactly what you did; to go and face these villains myself. Remember right after Lois died? I basically ransacked Arkham Asylum, wanting to kill the Joker. But, Bruce and Hal stopped me. We're not perfect, we can't be, it makes life worth living."

I don't know what to say about her "seeing" Bart, I've seen enough in my time to believe in the afterlife, but I guess I'm still a bit skeptical. And that's when I hear the alarm beacons. Trouble, again. What now?

"Kara, I'm going to see what's up. You stay here and rest."

I fly to where Wally is standing.

"What's going on?"

OOC: I have both school and work today, so I won't be back until tonight. So, Savage if you need Supes, you can bunny him when I'm gone.

"Look!"

I show him some of the security footage from City Hall where the mayor must have activated the beacon. He's getting his head slammed against a desk by a frickin 10 foot goblin while his bodyguard is on his back having his guts rumaged through by a demented clown.

"What...the...hell?"

"Exactly what I said."

"Is it the same all over the city?"

"From the footage we've been able to scrounge up, that's a definate yes!"

This is when he turns around to the rest of people in the room. This is where he does his hero thing.

"Alright team, we're not sure what we're up against here but we don't have time to waste. These people are in immediate danger and they need our help. Now we do not have too many people in fighting condition so we will have to make due. Question and Constantine will stay here with Bruce and Barbara to continue figuring out a way to stop Mordru and the Deadly Alliance. Flash: You take the westside. Hal: You take downtown. Canary takes the eastside and I take uptown. If you can manage, get as much help as you can. And be alert people. We are dealling with the likes of Mordru, Deathstroke, and Black Adam here. Nothing is what it seems."

IC: The Parasite typed away at the control station for higher orbit satelites and eventually hacked his way into major television networks satelites, defense orbital stations, and all other man-made machines orbiting the planet.

Suddenly the secondary target's image came onto the screen in front of Rudy. The Justice League satelite. Hal Jordan had built it himself, so LexAerospace had no connections with it. But the Parasite's employers had found a way around that.

His words sunk deep. She had worried that she was going to dissappoint her cousin, but instead she made him proud. She laid back down on the bed, under the lamp of pure yellow sunlight. The light was already doing its job to repair her worst injuries, but it would be at least another day before she could do anything strenuous. Kal is lucky. When he got his ass kicked this bad, he died. That got her thinking, how many heroes HAVE died and come back? Kal, Ollie, Hal, Raven at least a couple times... the list just goes on and on... Is it impossible that what I saw WAS Bart?
She drifted into unconsciousness again.

In her hazy dream world she caught glimpses of her life. She remembered her family on Krypton; though cold and scientific as a culture, the love of family bonds was still as strong as the heaviest chain. She remembered holding her then infant cousin Kal-El. Strange how years in a stasis field can change which cousin is older. She remembered the earthquakes as her world crumbled around her, and he father Zor-El gave his life to save hers. After that she doesn't remember any thing until her landing in Gotham Bay. She remembers being scared, and confused at this new world she found herself in, and at these strange powers that she discovered she had gained. Images of training with Amazons flooded her mind, and of her introduction to other heroes. Even the stupid dog crawled into her visions. Finally images of her first few days with the Titans came into view. Flirting with Bart, trying to keep herself from slapping (and possibly killing) Gar for his tactless comments, and just hanging with her other 'cousin' and the rest of the team. Then the date, the happiest moment of her life. She may not have known him very long, but she felt a connection. She saw Shade and Slade standing over his empty costume. She remembered her rage over what they had done and her grief. She remembered both her painful battles with Black Adam, and then nothing but blackness was in her vision.

Out of the darkness came flashes of red lightning, and the older Bart appeared again. She noticed now that his costume was different, colors opposite of what they were, though still in essence the classic Kid Flash costume. "Kara, don't doubt yourself. I know you wouldn't have sunk to their level, Kal taught you better and you know it. And don't blame yourself for what happened to me, or for what happened to Raven. I may not be there physically, but I will always be with you. Time is a great thing Kara, eventually it will loop back, and we'll be together again. I promise you that." He handed her something. Another flash of lightning and he was gone.

She woke up in a cold sweat, What the hell is going on? What is with these dreams? She opened her hand, she was holding a ring, emblazoned with the Flash logo. Was it just a dream?

"Your going to need help."Dick says, standing up.

The other heroes face him,as if they're objecting.

He doesnt care...

In a bold move,He puts the cowl of Batman over his own face, and frowns.

"Im in fighting condition. And just because I dont have any superpowers doesnt mean Im powerless. My mentor is pretty much a living example of that."Dick says, looking straight at Superman.

"Look,I'd give anything to do SOMETHING around here.....and Im not about to be couped up in here for the rest of the week."Dick says, frustrated with his lack of work recently.

"Let me come too."

Finishing the last of his spells on the final warhead, Mordru looks into his scrying mirror that shows him the inner workings of the Watchtower.
“Ha! The fools actually believe I’ll humor them with their ritual? Don’t they know, Hector, that gods do not waste their time with ants unless it is to squash them?”

Standing to his feet, Mordru walks to the door leading back to the main room. “Oh, I am indeed a god, Hector. And, as for being mad”, Mordru smiles before he opens the door, “well, I can’t deny that.”
His work on the warheads completed, Mordru enters the main room and finds Slade, Shade, and the Scarecrow standing around watching the terror unfold on the helpless citizens of Keystone.
“The heroes are about to depart for Keystone, be ready”, says the Dark Lord as he begins casting spells of concealment to mask them, and the package, from sight be it physical, mental, mystical, or technological.

The Watchtower, Sea of Tranquility, The Moon

My plan is flawed. I know it. But it's still the best bet we have. Unless......

OOC: haha. Sorry about that.:D It's okay if I keep bunnying you right?

IC:I look at "Nightwing" and can't help but feel worried. Not because he'll slow us down but because with his condition plus Keystone being turned into hell on earth...Well you get the point. We've already lost enough members...I'm sure the others feel the same way but...It's not our call. I turn to Superman as I'm sure everyone else did.

"...Okay...You're with Dinah. But be careful, for our sake...Any other takers? Where'd Midnite dissappear to?"

"Got me. Said he was gonna go look for more members and...well this is his first time in the tower so maybe he got lost...?"

"...Beautiful...Well you get in contact with Wonder Woman. She's with you. J'onn: You're with me. Batman, any word from the JSA?"

I walked across the hanger and hit the comm.

"Bruce I'm here."

Things are moving incredibly fast. First I check the database for information on the JSA, there hasn't been much activity with them with the exception of Alan Scott, and even he's disapeared somewhere. I hope none of the DA got him.

"The only one who's recently been active was Alan Scott, and it says he was last seen trying to stop Hourman from being murdered by someone in the DA. Besides Mid-Nite, who's disapeared somewhere, the JSA's missing."
