I figured Velvet would win the Knockouts title. Its cool she finally got her shot with it.

I read that hogan actually took a couple of bumps? I'm...shocked?

i mean given all the things hogan said in his interview the other day and the way this PPv was laid out, I cannot help but think Hogan's fingerprints were all over the booking.

Styles and daniels were given a lame finish, Roode was pinned in the closing of the show and the match time was cut short, and Hogan got his big moment on the show and glommed all the heat.

The only thing that interests me in the WWE is the Rock coming back to hype up his match at the Survivor Series.

Not saying he had booking control but he certainly had to know what was going down. he pretty much gave away Angle vs Roode.

Did the World title match go on last or was it Sting vs Hogan? Even though Hogan lost he still ended the match getting all the glory. Not the first time.

Who won the tag team title match?

I don't think anything currently in WWE(except some of the Triple H&Awesome Truth stuff/Air Boom and now Rock returning for SS)is all that great..But I wouldn't say the whole product sucks and I'm still overall enjoying the shows!!

How did Hogan go face?

No he doesn't have toput that in a contract. tHE UFC doesn't work that way. Dana White just laughed about the whole thing and saw $ signs.

well fights were definitely fixed over there and steroid use was rampant but nothing has come out about Silva's fights being fixed but you never know.

I see, so if he loses and goes back on his statement it wont matter as he is actually aiming to be booed?

Interesting, I hadn't heard anything about Japanese MMA being fixed.

Maybe they are going to with Storm instead? However if they were why not have Roode win and make him a star and then start a slow heel turn and disintegration in his relationship with Storm as the belt comes between them.

you should watch more sonnen dude is a comedic genius:word:

:lmao: How is this guy 34 and I am only now hearing of him? I'm surprised Vince hasn't thrown money at him, is he really small?

I was thinking they might have done this with Roode to do something with Storm. I was hoping Roode would win but they seemed to telegraph it to much so i got suspicious. Could be good for Storm, but poor handeling of Roode. I'd rather they did something that elevated them both.

Roode and Styles are nobodies brother. Hogan is the greatest human being on earth brother. Only Hogan deserves the spotlight brother, because he alone made wrestling brother. He had the same gimmick in AWA brother and he was never as big in that company brother as he was in WWF brother. Hogan made wrestling all by himself brother and it had nothing to do with Vince brother.

Let me get this straight...

Hogan stole control of TNA from its rightful owner, and used a team of lackeys to get his dirty work done. Then, after doing everything he could to keep power, he lost it back...and when his lackeys came out to help him...suddenly he decided to turn on his lackeys and help the new owner that he stole the company from in the first place.

HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU BOOK HOGAN AS THE GOOD GUY AT THE END OF THAT SEGMENT???????

The entire PPV was just awful. Terrible booking all around. An "I quit" match...which should be the end of a feud...was used as a cheap segue into the next PPV...Roode was built up just to be dropped back down (I guess this means a Crimson main event run after all???).

Garbage.

Only good thing that came out of the PPV was the TNA Knockouts match! I'm glad Velvet Sky won!

Well Hogan or Bischoof certainly had their hands in the the pot. I mean that was obvious.

Roode/Angle went on last, as it should have given it's the world title, but it sent the fans home unhappy. I mean given the way the booking was laid out, they should have had Hogan/Sting go on last just so fans who paid for a ticket can say they left on a good note.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hogan were to use this to his advantage a\nd day "well I told ya brother that Roode dude couldn't follow me and the Stinger brother! The Hulkmaniacs wanted to see me do my things dude! The fans just sat on their hands brother when the match was over! Dixie, what did I tell you brother! Did you hear the fans give me the loudest reaction!"

Mexican America won. The match was ok. I hate both teams

Well I think the initial plan was to go with Storm but he hurt his shoulder so Roode was the next guy the decided to go with. Still, even if Roode wasn't who you intially had in mind for the main event, why would you not follow through with Roode after you spent all this time building him up. It's just asinine!

Chael Sonnen is aiming for attention and making a name for himself to build up PPVbuys and increase his stock and it's worked. Anderson Silva is not a draw and doesn't have a strong following in terms of fans who are willing to pay for cards he headlines, since he never chooses to speak english in the media and he has put on some crappy performances that have left a bad taste in viewers mouths.

Sonnen has managed to make people interested in their fights and he's wisely doing the hyping. It helps to that he is an awesome fighter.

No he's not small at all. He's about 6'1 and though he fights at 185, he walks around 210-215 when he's not training for a fight. Vince would be lucky to have a guy like him. He's a legit badass who can talk like no other.

MMA writers constantly refer to his interviews as "Roddy Piper-esque"

Chael Sonnen would get lost in the shuffle in the WWE. He's better off staying in the UFC, where he's been treated better and working for someone who doesn't spend his free time getting into a roid rage every week.

Besides, he would deck Vince McMahon the moment Vince gets into one of his yelling fits.

Exactly, they had a chance to make a top heel and a top face out of this whole angle, and instead they now have neither.

As I said to Metallo, TNA just pissed away the chance to make two guys within this situation, the lack of long term view in TNA booking is chronic.
From what I have seen Roode is pretty over, had he gone over tonight his stock would have been cemented.

Ah I see, even though I am not a fan of MMA I recall the hype over him from Dana White when he signed him to UFC, but I have not heard of Sonnen until someone posted the tweet from Daniel Bryan here followed by the promo he cut after his last fight, has he always been this much of a showman?

Given the size of most of the guys currently being pushed coupled with his legitimacy and his mic skills I'd think Vince may just be interested, whether Sonnen's body could get used to the WWE lifestyle at 34 though is another matter.

I think Sonnen recently made headlines before UFC Brazil by dissing Brazil on Facebook.

Vince McMahon somehow needs make headway into Brazil when the WWE tours there. It's an emerging market with a lot of potential for a new audience for the WWE. Don't know how he does that though without a "superstar" to promote to Brazil. He has Rey, Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio and both Sin Caras to promote for Mexico.

I am very skeptical that the WWE (or even TNA for that matter) will do very well in Brazil.

You're exactly right. TNA could have done something with both Storm and Roode and tonight could have put Roode on the map and made him a star for TNA. Oh TNA

Chael has always said some controversial things for a long time (years ago before he became the star he is now, he said he wouldn't let guys lay in his guard/between his legs because he's a republican) but once he became the #1 conterder to Anderson Silva's belt last year he really amped it up. There was even a Facebook Event page made a couple of months ago by some fans in Brazil dedicated to lynching him when the UFC came to Rio, Brazil. He becomes more like a pro wrestling heel each passing day.

Chael would never go to WWE though. He'll make more money in th UFC and he's too much of a competitor to ever do a rigged sport like pro wrestling. Just like Ali did when he was boxing, he's taking the showmanship of pro wrestling and applying it to MMA

Not sure how the PPV went tonight... But The Walking Dead was fantastic. :)

I can see Storm becoming the top guy in TNA, and I understand that was his spot in the main event, but they had the chance to make Roode a top tier guy tonight and didn't do it. I think the plan going forward is that Storm will beat Angle for the title, and Roode becomes jealous because Storm did what he couldn't.

I've always been a big supporter of Storm and felt he was better suited to be the star of the company than Roode, but why bury Roode like that? It make zero sense, especially given that Roode has been fantastic in his role and had the crowd behind him.

I bet on Impact Dixie will gush about how Hogan helped save her company from the bad guys...completely rewriting the entire story after the fact.

TNA is in a bad spot. They have based their product around Hogan, a guy who can barely walk, let alone wrestle. Hogan's main purpose SHOULD be to do mainstream interviews to hype TNA, but instead he buries their talent in interviews and gets himself over. Their world champion Angle is injured (another good reason to get the belt off of him), and seemingly the next top guy is Sting, who is another guy ready for retirement.

I agree with you, but TNA obviously has other plans.

Hogan Behind the Main Event Booking

Bobby Roode was suppose to win the TNA title tonight. Many Felt he earned it and it was his time and he was built strongly.

However, the plan changed today to not have Roode go over and have Angle retain. The reason is due to Hulk Hogan. Hogan was said to have played politics and got the finished changed before the show started. Hogan felt Roode wasn't ready and said Angle needed to keep the title.

There is a lot of people in TNA who are said to be pissed at Hogan backstage for what he did to Roode today.

Also, Hogan is said to have people really hating him for his comments on twitter about AJ Styles calling him a mark jabroni and such. AJ missed the fanfest yesterday because he had a death in the family and many felt Hogan's comments were in poor taste given the timing and thought it was garbage for him to hate on AJ for dealing with personal issues. Many felt Hogan was a piece of trash for doing that knowing AJ was dealing with a family death.

Not a lot of Hogan supporters right now and PWInsider was lit up from TNA workers complaining after the main event was over.

Note from Superark: Screw you Hogan!!!
