Interesting way to reunite Booker T and Golddust. One of the most successful of random pairings ever.

This is my first time being home and watching Smackdown in years. I use to watch it religiously years ago, but work and a crappy product made me not care so much about missing it.

Hunico coming out riding with a buddy on a "low rider bicycle". Why the hell does WWE do such awful stereotypes of anyone not white?

Teddy acting like a dick on Smackdown again.

Jackson had the tights.

Darn I can't believe that I missed that. I loved when Booker T and Golddust were teamed up. Then he got electrocuted and started doing that stuttering thing. Howard Stern still plays that on his show sometimes. :woot:

The Wrestling Thread: Listens to the WWE Universe.

 Its taken them this long to figure it out? Not only does Coles ranting hurt the show overall but he buries guys to a point that it kills any credibility. You never EVER heard Heenan or Ventura completely tear down the fantasy at that level. They still wanted the face to draw. Coles hatred seems almost personal. Thats a turn off when watching the show. Its not even consistent because he hardly ever badmouths Cena or HHH at that level...which makes his badmouthing of Bryan and others seem worse.

Cole has no finesse or skill, he simply doesn't understand how to be an effective heel commentator, I mean Ventura was a pro wrasslin commentator and was a tweener quite often, Brain and oldschool King were funny heel commentator's, what they said was so obviously over the top and self knowing, like they were being classic heels with wink. Cole spits malice and anger with his commentary, it goes beyond calling what is going on, it's a representation of Vince's furstration with having to push guys he doesn't see as stars because he has no roided up 6'5 guy he can oil up and put the belt on.

I hate to say I told you so but...:cwink: They killed some of Punks momentum for nothing. he's still popular now Despite working with HHH not because of him. HHH just wanted to work with the hottest guy in the business to get some of that relevance so he could...work with his crip buddy Kevin Nash? Nash cheated Punk out of his title...with no payoff. HHH got a win over Punk and while Punk looked strong instead of taking this story to its logical conclusion HHH will instead be workign with Taker 9again) at WM28. I just don't see how any of that helped anybody besides 3 middle aged men in the twilight of their careers. One of em ain't even a damn draw anymore and is 10 years behind the times.

Yeah I made the mistake of thinking Triple H would actually do the best thing for the show, I'm like a wrestling fan quivelant of a battered wife. :(
I knew I'd been conned as soon as the walkout angle went down and Triple H stood in the ring basking in a huge chant.

I'd rather see your card than the one we'll probably get. No need for Taker HHH III with Rock vs Cena as a huge draw. This is the one time they can afford to take some risks. The buyrate will be ginormous anyway.
Exactly, Mania 28 sold out the day after Mania 27 in truth. I'm most dissapointed in Taker, usually he at least thinks beyond himself.

I really don't understand Vince's view on Foley. Sounds like Foley went from being irrelevant in TNA to being irrelevant (with more exposure) in WWE I think theres a little HHH in Vinces ear after previous reports of him not being impressed with Foley...which is bullsh** after what Foley did for HHH. HHH should know better than anyone that theres more to Mick Foley than whats on the surface.
Foley cemented Triple H in the same way he did The Rock the year before, Triple H's ungrateful BS is no great surprise.

Decent episode of Impact, I liked the Knockouts getting to open and close the show, I think it was the Mickie/Tara cage match that was the last time a Knockout's match was a Impact main event. The Mickie/Gail bout was a really good 15 minute match, shame they went with a screwy finish, and while I dig Madison she needs a new finisher that she can actually hit properly.

Bobby Roode and Bully Ray continue to thrive on the mic despite the Obstacles put in front of them, however I think TNA need to be careful with Storm as he is not as over as he was a couple of months ago and they have stalled his momentum, Jeff Hardy is clearly the most over face they have and I'd hate to see him take the title.

Angle got the only good match I've seen out of RVD in ages but man is he looking skinny. Sting continues to shine in the GM role but Flair and Gunner is an embarrassing pairing.

The wild-card tag tournament they are using is basically an old WCW idea but it's been less convoluted than most of their tournaments and I think the right two teams are in the final, the Joe/Magnus partnership has a lot of potential.

Yeah, I just read she dropped 80 pounds. She looks fantastic, always thought she was cute. Those gym shoes are kind of strange though. Also her age is starting to show in the face a little more now.

I read the article and in it they asked her is she would be back in the ring and she answered "Anything can happen in the WWE". the last few times we have seen her she has wore those roomy pants suits as she has obviously felt weightier than she'd like, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her return now she is in this shape and come out looking amazing. I think the thing with her face in the pics is she is really concentrating intensely which doesn't make for the most attractive facial pic.

I hadn't noticed the gym shoes until you mentioned them, it's like she's wearing foot gloves! :funny:

Wrestlemania 28 is going to get a lot of mainstream press with the Rock involved. It will get even more if Shaq is involved because he's one of the most popular athletes in America. Shaq is one of the more well known basketball stars that the United States has had in the last 20 years, and its mostly for stuff he does outside basketball.

I'd actually like to see a backstage segment between the Rock and Shaq.

I just put my TV on in time to catch Lesnar's UFC fight that's on free here.....it lasted about 2 minutes and Brock lost.

Haha , I think they're supposed to help you run faster but I don't trust my feet in them.

It might happen. I guess Brock wasn't able to overcome his diverticulitis. I'm just glad I didn't drive out to buffalo wild wings to watch this tonight.
