WWE Network

There is a lot of concern within WWE headquarters that the Network won’t be ready in time for the planned launch date of April 1st, WrestleMania Sunday. The Network will be launching as scheduled no matter what, but the quality of the programming and how smooth everything runs is still a major topic of discussion behind the scenes.

While some staffers fear that the Network could bomb within the first year, top company officials are still firmly behind the project and see it as Vince McMahon’s biggest venture since the first WrestleMania.

WWE has offered some current employees the chance to work on the new Network and most have declined. One WWE office staffer told us that people do not want to leave secure jobs to work on the Network, because if the Network does not work out, their previous jobs would likely be filled by then.

I've said this before and I'll say it again in regards to WWE Network:

- The best the WWE can hope for is the NFL Network. The NFL Network isn't a cash cow for the NFL, but it also hasn't been a total failure for the NFL.

Um everybody except RVD who has held the MITB has won that way.

Very true. I was kind of hoping they'd let Daniel's wrestling skills be his equalizer to Henry/Show's size. Instead, they went about it predictably.

- Jim Ross wrote on Twitter that 2012 would be a big year in WWE for the "JR TV character."

- There have been some talks about moving CM Punk to the SmackDown brand later in 2012, to help provide star power.
The only angle to do with JR should be the one putting him back calling Raw.If they do that Raw will go back to square one and I wouldn't be surprised if Orton jumped back the other way.
- A fan asked Jim Ross this weekend if Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes would be World Champions in 2012. Ross replied:

"If not, they both should quit."

Well that's as straight forwward as you'll get! :funny:

JR should just quit the WWE.

Isn't R-Truth off suspension?

The greatest lie ever told. :oldrazz:

JR won't be returning to Raw unless Michael Cole gets an offer from ESPN to jump ship, like The Coach and Todd Grisham did. Cole might be a good play by play man for an actual legit sport such as football or basketball. I don't know how Grisham is doing on ESPN, but The Coach has been good on ESPN.

I think I am the only one though who actually like Coach's character in the WWE.

Stephanie McMahon catches Triple H with Trish Stratus

This whole angle was one of my favourite involving Triple H. :D

Trish Stratus Interrupting Litas Wedding

Great promo from Trish.

Those were some of the best. Also loved Mickie James visiting her in showers:hrt:

The final video for January 2nd, 2012 will be airing on tonight's RAW Supershow in Chicago. Word is that tonight's video will make it clear who the vignettes are for.

I hope so. It has to be Chris Jericho and hopefully more people will tune in to see it.

Great video , looks like Jericho is getting ready for his in ring return.

Agreed. I think the WWE can really find a market if they put the right programming on. Showing some of the more classic wrestling matches and shows, kind of like what they do on the WWE portion On Demand, could really help get a lot of the older fans who don't watch anymore on board with the product.

Also, some solid original programming could help. Maybe have like a sit down interview show with older/newer wrestlers and have it be real. Sort of like that Actors Studio show but for wrestlers.

And, if they're going to do that Legends House thing with old wrestlers living in the house together they HAVE to get the Iron Sheik. That is just a perfect match. Iron Sheik and Hulk Hogan...living under one house alone would be entertainment!

I think they can pull it off though. It depends on if they have smart people behind the shows and programming.

So Hunico comes out on the back of some dudes peddle bike now WTF?

Great video!,Which match was the one where Eddie&Kurt Angle had a shoot fight in the ring&on TV?

The WWE will probably start announcing the rest of their WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 soon, however, this year's headliner is an absolute no brainer, so they should only make it official soon.

We all know who will headline the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012. It's in his hometown and he has a match at Wrestlemania 28. All the WWE needs to do is make it official. However, they will save him for last in order to sell tickets, despite the fact that we all knew this was coming ever since he was announced to host Wrestlemania 27.

WWE champ CM Punk vs. The Miz in a Steel Cage match will headline WWE's RAW show at Madison Square Garden in New York tomorrow night.

I say they might not induct Rock just yet. We know Mil Mascaras is going in. Also I read they want to induct Carlos Colon. Seems they want to take advantage that Miami is entrenched in Hispanic culture. It be nice to induct Savage.

lol they ignore the xfl

lol they ignore the xfl

I gotta admit...I'd ignore it too. Its an embarrassment that can't inspire confidence. Maybe they meant wrestling ventures? But behind closed doors they should try to learn something from the XFL's failure.

The WWE network could be successful but it seems like they are rushing ahead without a lot of issues worked out. They are putting this network on the air a year too early if you ask me. If its as big a venture as they think it is it couldn't hurt to put more time into it.

A belated Happy Holidays to you all

So why would the WWE not induct the Rock this year? He's a lock. First...it's his hometown. Second.....now that he's back within the WWE again, it's easier for them to get him to make a Hall of Fame Appearance.

He's an absolute lock. Why else would they bring him back and not induct him into the Hall of Fame? Plus, the WWE needs to sell tickets to the WWE Hall of Fame. The Rock going in would give the WWE a ton of mainstream press. They are not going to sell the WWE Hall of Fame to the mainstream audience with Mil Mascaras and Carlos Colon. Most mainstream WWE fans have no clue who either of them are. But they all know who the Rock is, either as the Rock or as Dwayne Johnson. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the Rock's been back in the WWE in 2011. He gets mainstream press because he's done movies, some of which are highly successful. The Rock was in one of the biggest films of the past spring in Fast Five. He's going to be in another big film in GI Joe Retaliation.

The WWE will want to sell tickets to the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame and get mainstream press. It's likely that once the Rock is made official, The WWE will try to invite the mainstream entertainment shows like Extra, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight to the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. They will all probably come because its the Rock and they know him (as Dwayne Johnson)

They are a business, lets not forget that. If they have the Rock as the headliner, that means that the event will sell out, just to hear what the Rock is going to say and whether or not he gets emotional about it.

He's the WWE's biggest mainstream star and the WWE will want to market his Hall of Fame induction out to the masses.

IMO, he's a 100% lock because of all of that I mentioned above. Having Mil Mascaras and Carlos Colon in is good for die hard wrestling fans, but having the Rock in is good for the business. Guarantees the event will sell out, plus the week of Wrestlemania 28 would be a week long celebration of his induction.

He's an absolute lock to go in this year. The WWE would be stupid to pass him up in his hometown.

No way mil mascaras is headlining the hall of fame lol.he's legendary but not well known to the wwe universe

Inducted by hardcore legend and best selling author Mick Foley

Now that Foley is back in the WWE, yes.

If he wasn't back, the Rock probably would have been inducted by his greatest rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
