Goosebumps my friend. Goosebumps. :cwink:

Different arm.

I've watched the promo three times and I can maybe only see a couple of seconds of Rock looking over that arm with the notes on it. If anything else, it could also be just part of the work just like that backstage heat.

Nevertheless, I'll give credit to Cena for really putting a number on Rock just in his two-minute promo. He really ended the night while Rock started the segment, but yet, Rock got the crowd right back on his side.

I am hoping that we get a much more serious Rock now. Please, enough of this childish banter. At least Cena seems to turn his tone into that direction, now it's Dwayne's turn. Can't wait for next week regardless. Still a Rock fan and I still want Rock to win at WM 28

Rock's notion that the crowd didn't expect to see him more than 6 times a year is pure horse****, just read back through the wrestling threads from last year "Why not give Rock a title run, he can surely make a few defenses" yeah all that was from all the smarts who knew he was really only going to appear once every 4 months, I don't think so.

Bottom line is Cena swaggered out, hit Rock with some ammo and swaggered back, Rock got all cranky and couldn't even get his limp comeback out even though it was just the same lines he's been putting out for years. Ice cold delivery > stuterring and looking like a deer in the headlights.

His "come back" was just bad. How many times did he say "Oh.. The Rock.. DJ.. the Rock... DJ, DJ.. The Rock.. Same man! Cena! YEAH! It doesn't matter who's here the Rock or DJ because they're both here! I'm gonna kick your ass at ManiaIFYASMELLLLLLL.."

I also thought it was funny that Rock said "real men" don't have people fighting their battles for them.. then he said he was fighting for the audience.. Which.. they cheered.

I assume none of them are real men?

And Cena conveniently mentions it the one time we see it? I call work on that one. Especially since Rock never looked at his left wrist the entire time)

I've never noticed notes on Rock's arm before and if he had it's surprising someone wouldn't of caught it until tonight. I call b.s. on this. It seems like they want to give Cena some leverage in this feud. I just hope it doesn't get hokey because there's plenty of realism beneath the surface for this to work.

How is that funny? Cena should be saying he's fighting for his fans as well.

Supposedly pwinsider knows what was on Rock's arm. They say it's....

my point is rock needs to cut deeper

batista said cena hugs fat chicks and kisses babies

miz called cena out on his demographic of tweens and little kids

triple h said he cant wrestle

cena has dealt with this stuff for 6 years straight

so sorry rock making cute nick names like kung pow ***** and fruity pebble and making fun of his shorts and t shirts

is just not gonna cut it cena's skin is too thick for these nick names when he has heard worse for 6 years straight

Interesting, I didn't see where the call out was though as when Cena did come out Rock was listing stuff he got trending on Twitter, unless call out means calling out the names of guys that didn't need anyone to fight for them.

He has.. about a bajillion times.

So it's only FUNNY that Rock says it then? I don't get why it's funny of why Rock is saying this. It's funnier that Cena wants to fight for all the guys in the back when that is just ridiculous. I doubt someone like CM Punk would even want someone "fighting his battles".

If true, I don't see why it's a bad thing to have a few reminders written on his arms. He doesn't have a long-ass time to rehearse as a lot of the guys do.

I don't think you understand...

Rock JUST SAID that real men wouldn't want someone fighting their battles for them.. Then he turned around and said he would be fighting this battle for his fans.

So.. I guess you, in the mind of The Rock, are not a real man.

It's not about being a bad thing, this is a wrestling feud, Rock insults Cena with name after name, Cena quips that he can at least cut a promo without notes, it's all just good back and forth to build some heat.

Yeesh, Rock fans on edge on every wrestling forum I visit. I guess Cena got under more than just Rocks skin.

That wasn't really funny though. I understood what he meant. The fans can't go around and fight someone like Cena even if they want to, and that's what Dwayne really meant.

I'm mentioning it not being a bad thing because there are a lot of people on WrestleZone and 411Mania for example that thinks it's a bad thing that Rock has some stuff down on his wrists. I agree it's good for the build-up, but people shouldn't be hating on Dwayne because he needs a reminder or two.

Granted, even if the writing is part of the work, Dwayne looked a little bit too pissed off for it to be part of a work, lol.

They are maybe Cena fans sick of their guy being hated on and are thus enjoying it, it's all good, look at this thread, Nell and Scar seemed to have seen a different Raw to the rest of us, I mean you mentioned Wrestlezone and I see Rock fans posting on there, upset because they felt their guy lost his way tonight. I'm loving it because I don't care about either, so it's just good entertainment for me.

I don't think it was a work, Rock was emotional and flubbed his lines he was so flustered, this aspect won't be touched upon in the actual angle though.

And Rock owned Cena by pointing out that the fans don't want Cena.

Cena did nothing tonight except drop a "keep trending" line.

Other than that, it was him focusing on "kung pao chicken", "hustle loyalty respect", and "I'm always here".

Cena did not impress tonight.

Yeah no fans want Cena, all that merch must be selling to a sole oil baron Cena fan I guess.

Rock did nothing but talk about trending on twitter and getting fans to chant goofy stuff, but when it came down to it, when it got real, Rock couldn't even get his words out, so Cena might not have impressed you Nell, but he certainly impressed just about everyone else commenting on the show right now across the net.

A lot of guys usually got bullet points back in the day anyway. Rock just wrote his down tonight. Rock's promo would've been better if he stayed on point, but he went off the rails.

HHH Appears For Raw Live Crowd

It's being reported that after The Miz lost to John Cena on Raw tonight, during a commercial break, Miz pitched a fit and demanded that a WWE official give him a match at WrestleMania. This prompted Triple H to come out, crotch chop The Miz, and then pedigree him.

:funny:

One could counter argue and say that the Rock didn't say anything really new either; he seemed more focused on getting twitter shout outs than he was in the feud.

Plus, like others have said; Cena can't be blamed for the way his character has been portrayed. That's all on the Creative team right there. We have evidence from past footage that Cena has been more than capable of being a badass on screen and garnering the cheers of those that aren't teenager girls or children. The only way Cena could have responded would have been to say that it was Vince's idea for him to be the candy ass that his character is presented at times and really they would never have them go that far.

And honestly, I didn't find the Rock's kung pao remarks to be funny at all or his no balls jokes. I've seen other wrestlers insult Cena more deeper than the Rock did tonight.

As a Rock fan, even I can acknowledge Rock lost his way, especially once Cena mentioned the words on his wrist, although I would've been fine if Rock acknowledged that himself seeing as how he supposedly only has just a few words on his wrist. Indeed, it's good entertainment, but I would love to see a RAW where we get the best out of both guys, but maybe that'll happen the RAW before WrestleMania.

Yah, the ending of Rock really showed emotion coming out of him and I think it should be touched upon, at least next week and that could be a trigger to make Dwayne becoming more serious.

I would like Rock to stop it with the trending word crap and Cena stop making it seem like Dwayne and Rock are two separate entities.

Sorry, but no. Again, Cena wasn't the one stumbling and bumbling over his lines or getting pissy. Even before Cena came out, Rock was just kind of rambling about Twitter and using same old fruity pebbles/lady parts schtick.

nell you serious lol

cena cut deeper on the rock

rock said nothing that he or someone else has'nt said 1000 times lol it falls on deaf ears when you repeat the same digs at cena over and over again

Here's a question....could the CROWD be a reason Rock started to ramble off the tracks?

I just watched the Rock /Cena segment.

I think Rock had good points but it seemed like he was killing time for Cena to come out there. Rock did seem flustered by Cena but I still think it's a work. Rock said at the beginning of the promo that Cena has his cell number which discredits anything said last week , so it wouldn't surprise me if Cena did throw in a real jab but it just seems unlikely.

And honestly; the problem imho with things like the Rock's available choices in responses is that we're really never going to hear things like them addressing as to why he really left the WWE and why he chose to stay away for so long when we've had others who have taken breaks to come back once and awhile to do more than telecast appearances.
