Just saw on imdb that it's Macho Man Randy Savage's 58 birthday today.

Weird to think that Savage is actually younger than DDP, considering Macho was already an icon before DDP even got his start, really.

Yeah DDP's debut gimmick was basically "middle aged wrestler".

There was a feeling backstage at RAW that it’s a sure thing that Team Cena will defeat Team Authority at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. WWE officials want to keep Cena strong for his next match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and a win at Survivor Series would go along with that.

Changes with WWE’s storyline with The Authority have also been reported. Most feel that Vince McMahon’s added stipulation to the match guarantees a big change for The Authority. There have been some rumblings within WWE that they Stephanie McMahon may be written off TV soon but that’s not confirmed yet.

I hope that Ziggler and Rollins get the "Sole survivor" moments for their teams. Not so much that they are literally the last two standing but the ones that last as long as the captains and eliminate the most people.

Those two are the key reasons fans are invested in this match

So guys if you were given free reign to book a Survivor Series with the current roster(Main and NXT)...slightly in the vein of first 3 and you were told the stack the card as well as get as many great talents in the ring together as possible without taking away from top spots..how would you do it?

If it were me, I'd do it like this:

Opening match: Tag Elimination for the titles

Team Lucha Dragons: Lucha Dragons, Usos, Wesley Blake/Buddy Murphy, Primo/Epico(not Los Failuredores)

VS

Team Ascension: The Ascension, The Dust Brothers, The Mechanics(Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) and The Vaudevillains

Second match:

Team Paige: Paige, Emma, Bayley, AJ Lee ,Alexa Bliss

vs

Team Charlotte: Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Summer Rae, Natalya


Third match - 3 way Tag Elimination:

Sami Zayn/Adrian Neville vs Tyson Kidd/Justin Gabriel vs Hideo Itami/Finn Balor

Fourth match: War Games match

Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler vs Dean Ambrose vs Cesaro vs CM Punk(yes, I'd still love for him to return)

Main Event for the WWE title: 4 way Ladder Match

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton

Essentially if given the time and freedom to do so, I'd set the card up this way so there can be a little something for everybody on this card and it still be a PPV of the year contender.A hybrid of the format of Survivor Series 1989 with elements of Survivor Series 2002

Since Survivor Series is coming up soon, I figured I'd start talking hypotheticals on a slow news day.

Basically have Ziggler eliminate the bulk of their guys and something screwy happens to him and gets him eliminated, which would leave him and Cena to wrestle for a while with cheating included but Orton RKOs Rollins and drags Cena on top of him for the 3 count. Since Cena has to get the win in Vince's mind.

It really is amazing to see how far the commentary team has fallen, watching this video I had forgotten that Cole wasn't really that bad. I guess it has to do with being actually allowed to call a match, and not "sell a story."

It's cause Vince is constantly yelling at Cole in his headset. Cole probably just gave up at this point. He knows he'll be fine as long as he's a yes man. He doesn't have any balls on him.

JBL and Lawler are straight up dead weight and need to be sent packing ASAP. I really feel that once Lesnar's reign is over they should get Heyman back on RAW as an analyst and drop the other two. He knows when to jump in and would elevate things greatly.

I'm thinking something like this. I could see him walking out because Triple-H or Steph is trying to boss him around from ringside. More likely, though, would be he and Sheamus brawling outside to a double count-out.

You can generally tell it's Dreamer (or Taz or one of the Dudleys) because he won't shut up about how great ECW was 15+ years ago. Once again, I don't understand why TNA had them referencing ECW so much when I watched a few episodes a while back. It was free advertising for the WWE Network.

So how are they going to book Rusev in the match? Will he be eliminated by DQ?

I see Rusev being eliminated via DQ, Show and Henry being counted out for brawling, Sheamus, Ziggler, Kane being eliminated via pin or submission. Leaving Cena and his mystery 5th man, and Rollins and Harper. If the 5th man is Reigns or Orton, then I can see Cena getting eliminated in a screwy way, leaving Reigns/Orton alone against the last two heels.
