I maintain that Jinder Mahal would have been a great "main-event level" heel had his push started with the US title instead of the main belt.

Yup, Mahal is one of the many victims of the WWE wanting things as fast as possible without giving it time to take real shape.

Instead they threw the Title at Mahal, expecting the indian fans to just accept him.
And then they werent even willing to invest in it by giving Mahal real character...no they gave him the foreigner heel crap gimmick and only cut the whole thing for the indian market so that mahal doesnt come off as heel.

Its a universal problem that you also see with the womans revolution.
They want all the gimmick matches, now a ppv...instead of first making sure that the core of this womans revolution works.
Its all just fast money and attention they seek.

The Hell in a Cell match took place more than a year after Becky, Sasha, and Charlotte debuted. I think that was plenty of time to determine if the revolution was working.

I have a theory on Triple H and NXT:

NXT is Triple H's way of apologizing for his "Reign of Terror" from 16 years ago. This theory comes about because NXT Takeovers are always praised and the WWE makes sure that Triple H is front and center in promoting these Takeover matches. He was very much hated when he was full time for burying people but now, he gets wide praise for NXT.

All I want out of WWE Evolution is one more Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus match. I don't care how bad the rest of the PPV is, I just want that match.

I agree. They repeated their mistake with JBL by pushing him too soon as the WWE Champion from Joe Schmoe instead of building him organically.

Then of course they denied Jinder his match against Lesnar, had him lose to Helmsley in India and put over Reigns recently instead of having him beat those two names to give him more credibility.

The WWE officials solely blame Mahal for the bad Feud with Reigns and that is why he is back with his jobber gimmick.

So according to McMahon, it's Jinder's fault Chicago crapped all over the PPV match (which actually wasn't that bad)? Yeah, okay.

So the reason we are getting the all women's PPV... because they are probably headed back to Saudi Arabia.

The Impact after Slammiversary was a weak followup. It was not engaging and there really was no big angle to feed off the buzz from the PPV.

Highlight is the debut of Scarlett Bordeaux as she drew great heel heat.

Santino Morella appeared and was confronted by Austin Aries. They took a shot at Jim Cornette.

Sami Callihan and OVE peed on someone in the restroom, ganged up on him, and shaved his head.

Great X-Division title rematch between Brian Cage and Matt Sydal.

I could never see Jinder Mahal as a main eventer, he's the perfect example of a average wrestler.

But as much as i dislike JBL, they found a way to make it work in the end with him...mainly because they didn push him just of a short term momentum.
They gave it time to feel more organic...which doesnt make his run much better than it was, but still.

Yeah they tried to sell Mahal to a specific market by making him look incredible unbelievable and weak.

I wonder if they also blame Lesnar for WM and stuff considering it seems to be never Reigns fault(which by the way isnt, its all on the booking and writing team)that a feud with him just doesnt work as the officials expect to.

Either that or for the Greatest Royal Rumble...either way this is what im talking about.
The Womans PPV shouldnt be some sort of second place prize, they shouldnt get this ppv just because...they should get it because they deserve it, because the womans revolution is good enough built to make this a reward for everybody...not something just so they can say "Hey look at us, we do this thing for woman...woho"

I could never see Jinder Mahal as a main eventer, he's the perfect example of a average wrestler.

Midcard would be the perfect place for him, maybe here and there a slight push upwards, but still having him mainly around in the midcard.
You can build decent enough feuds with him as heel...if not written by complete buffons.

But as much as i dislike JBL, they found a way to make it work in the end with him...

That's because JBL was a great talker. He was an average big man wrestler who had main event level mic skills and could pull off his gimmick.

Jinder Mahal is an opening match guy with opening match guy level talent who they shoved into the main event. That's the big difference.

Remember when Jarrett tried to Huck GFW gold? I'am surprised the man hasn't tried to start his own religion yet.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Hopefully, he's learned his lesson from that. He seems to be in a better place now. He even did his own Inside The Ropes specials: https://www.fite.tv/watch/jeff-jarrett-aint-he-great-tour/2o73x

I hope this will encourage Kenny McIntosh to release other ITR specials he's done like Wade Barrett, Bill Goldberg, Chris Jericho, and especially Paul Heyman!

Impact Wrestling is reborn with Slammiversary. It's the showcase of the new blood.

A near-flawless PPV. All of my predictions end up coming true.

Today and tomorrow will be Impact tapings. Scarlett Bordeaux is expected to debut tonight.

I like it when Don Callis (Cyrus) challenged every other promotion to top it.

Impact is getting lots of buzz and praises from the wrestling industry.

"There is a very positive vibe coming out of Slammiversary, the attitude is very different from before, they still have a long way to go financially, they had a very good PPV, universally praised." - Dave Meltzer

Toni Storm and Meiko Satomura announced for Mae Young Classic.

I hope that Renee Young hosts a WWE related show on FS1, it will make the network have a lot more class.

I hope Tommy Sports Entertainment remains on NXT forever because the main roster will find some way to ruin him.

So the contracts of AJ, Nakamura and the Club are set to expire early 2019, according to Dave Meltzer.......100% chance AJ re-signs as I see no reason why he would go back to New Japan.

Will WWE Evolution be any good? Probably not, but it's nice that they are trying something different.
