The WTF Moments Of Spider-Man 3

Is that a serious question? Well, first off, what is with their behavior? They both saw with the camera Gwen hanging for dear life and what did they do? They just talked right there and didn't immediately call for help. Gwen's Dad is a police captain for god's sake, he should acted quickly after seeing Gwen and not chatted with Brock.

He should have called for the fire department people and tell them his daughter's in danger or he should gone up the building himself and do something to save her as a loving father but no, he just waited there and hear Eddie talk B.S.

And for Eddie, he likes Gwen so much but he didn't do anything too which is shocking to me and he didn't even show some caring emotion. At least he should have said something like "OMG, it's Gwen, we should do something."

And what would I do in the same situation[hope to God it doesn't happen]? If I've seen a friend like in Gwen's situation, first of all I would have been shocked or be like very worried [unlike those two above]...and call the authorities for help.

How about you? What would you do in the same situation? What would be your first reaction? I bet it wouldn't be like Brock's and Capt. Stacy's.

So that's why it's a WTF moment for me. :wow: They just stood there. The father who's a police captain and the boyfriend just stood there. Their behavior was very insensitive, apathetic, indifferent, uncaring...so how could you not say WTF?!? :wow:
You say that as if Captain Stacy wasn't already doing all he could BEFORE knowing that his daughter was hanging up there. Their reactions seemed pretty normal.

Brock - "Oh my god...That's Gwen"
Then Captain Stacy grabs the camera to see for himself and Brock explains the situation. Stacy asks who he is so Brock says so. It was an awkward first introduction. For me that was reaction enough. The authorities are already there and doing the best that they can with the situation. All they could do was hope for the best.

And did Eddie ever seem like he cared THAT much about Gwen? Come on.

I loved the movie-obviously many didn't buuuut...

Biggest WTF moment to me was:

Sandman crying. This is doesn't work in a few ways.

If we are meant to believe Marko is totally composed of sand..can sand cry?

If water affects him, wouldn't his face be affected?

And yes, there was a lot of crying...I accepted it all...until that point.

Yeah, I remmeber that... I hear a couple of WTF expresions in the theater... myself included

I think Sam wanted the audience to feel and care about Sandman... but al least to me he never acomplish that

A far superior way for Sandman to disappear at the end would be for his tears to slowly melt him away. Far better than suddenly just being farted away in a non-existent breeze

He didn't die, he just left. Sometimes you can't have a villain that everyone is supposed to care about or understand that he is not really a bad guy. They should have just kept Sandman out of it altogether, focus a lot more on Harry, and then with Venom, slowly build him up and then reintroduce him in the 4th movie,, not kill him off. Venom can be done right, and this was not an example of it Its like Robin with Batman, he is such a huge part of the Batman universe, you know eventually have to include him in the movies, but it has to be done right. Same thing with Venom. SM3 was a good example of doing it the wrong way.

I posted this in another thread but...

It took me seeing this movie to realise how wrong Dunst was for the role of MJ. First of all i don't find her in the least bit attractive, yet she can bounce from one guy to another at ease, as if she's gods gift to men ..

And is MJ a ho or what? I mean She goes from Flash, to Harry to wanting Peter, then to John and then finally ends up with Peter, to only again end up kissing Harry. I mean come on, all these guys have a connection of some kind, and no other woman appears in any of these guys lives when they're not with MJ. Sam has really made it look like everyone in the Spidey-universe has had a piece of her pie, and she's not even hot...at all!

All i can say is she must have the best p***y in the NY state area for all this hoopla to be over her
If you examine her character she isnt MJ but she is the embodiment of every insecure girl who thinks she's hot. First, she was ready to leave Peter for a very bull**** reason. I knew a girl like her, she only looked hot because of the way she carried herself, shed start an argument with you at the drop of a dime if you mentioned about her nose. She was with several men and when confronted about it she blamed it on her relationship with her dad. I wonder, does Raimi want us to hate Mary Jane? And I thought Gwen Stacy was tossed off a building? They really ruined this film.

I was left thinking WTF when they didn't set up or come back later in the film to explain the experiment Flint fell into.

I was left thinking WTF when Peter was firing his fingers in the air (it just didn't fit with the other films in my opinion).

I thought WTF when Stan Lee made another awkward cameo.

I thought WTF when Sandman and Peter had their I love you moment at the end.

I thought WTF when I saw how ugly the CGI was on Venom's mouth.

WTF came to mind when it was not explained why Peter chose a bell tower as the place to rip off the suit as he didn't know at the time that the sound would help him (they should have done the black suit in part 2, used MJ getting married as Peter's reason to go to the church bells, and kept the story of Peter wanting to quit being Spiderman for part 3).

But the biggest WTF moment was when Harry lost his memory-- that said to me that they blew their load at the end of part 2; Harry simply should not have found out that Peter was Spiderman until part 3.

Well he sure seemed to care about his career more anyway. It was all about the pics for him. Come on, his whole attitude towards Gwen was like she came second to everything.

lol I'm good friends with this girl who saw the movie with her boyfriend the other night and at school we were all talking about it and one of us brings up the guy taking Gwen's picture inside the building. We kept immitating what we think he said because we all found it hilarious. I've seen the movie three times and I cracked up on that part each.
WHAT DOES HE SAY?!

"Hello love, I've got a secret, it's my copy machine!"
???

If someone knows, that'd be great if you could tell me lol.

-the flag, everyone knows Spiderman is Americans' superhero, so is it necessary to put the flag in the film just to state the obvious?

-the second fight between Peter and Harry, I thought Harry was supposed to be dead when the bomb exploded.

-the butler, giving the most unpersuasive excuse to get Harry go help Peter and MJ.

-the scene where Harry's about to die, it's your BEST friend lying down there, dying, Peter, would you mind hurry up a little and get your ass downstairs?

Well he sure seemed to care about his career more anyway. It was all about the pics for him. Come on, his whole attitude towards Gwen was like she came second to everything.

Brock was all over the place in his intentions in the course of this movie. One second he's taking pics of Gwen to make a buck with faux concern. Then he's showing real interest, followed up with subtle rejection due to his obsessive tendencies. Then he's talking about how he intends to marry Gwen to JJJ, which is never expanded upon. The whole plotting of Brock's characterization in this film, not just in regards to Gwen, is a big "huh?" on my part.

I'm pretty sure he was lying to JJJ. He was just being a kiss-ass and trying to show how much of a "genuine all american goody good" he is. Gwen could have been anybody else and it would not have mattered. He was with her because she was hot and made him feel good about himself. She boosted his ego. She was a trophy. Parker took that and the REJECTION was what bugged him. Not losing Gwen. He could have lost any other girl and reacted the same.

That's the impression I got. It was all about him and his ego and he was on top of the world and Parker knocked him off that pedestal. Hard and harsh.

Is it wrong for this to be my favorite scene in the movie? :woot: I thought I was the only one that still did the hustle.

I'm pretty sure he was lying to JJJ

Supposition. I'm not saying that it's wrong, but you suppose.
The most WTF point of the entire movie is that we MUST SUPPOSE the major parts of the scenes that are not explicated.
I hope that 3.1 will fix some editing.

And did Eddie ever seem like he cared THAT much about Gwen? Come on.

I'm saying his daughter (I repeat HIS OWN DAUGHTER) was hanging for her life and a normal reaction would be to run off immediately up the building or pointing out to the fire dep't crew that his daughter is up there and I mean immediately after seeing with his own eyes with the camera and he shouldn't have wasted time with Eddie. Come on, a father seeing his own daughter like that in a fatal situation and yet just stood there listen to Brock talk B.S. You don't see that as a WTF moment?!?

Every second counts in that situation, he should have MOVED QUICKLY. It would be understandable if he somehow risked his own life to save HIS OWN DAUGHTER or at least asking a subordinate to help him or pressuring a fire dep't crew to move things faster -- that would be a normal reaction and understandable.

Brock - "Oh my God... That's Gwen". -- after saying this and explained the situation to the Captain, what did he do?!? Nothing except (u said it yourself) the awkward introduction -- I could have accepted this but only if they did something to help Gwen.

"And did Eddie ever seem like he cared THAT much about Gwen?" -- That's precisely what's so WTF about his behavior. He introduced himself as GWEN'S BF! But he showed that WTF behavior! And do u remember he said to Gwen that he had an amazing night with her? And another thing, Eddie seeing her with Emo Peter fueled his rage against Spidey/Peter when he transformed to Venom. It's not the main factor but it contributed in his vengeance against Pete. So yes, Eddie does care about Gwen; that's why I see his behavior along with Capt. Stacy's a WTF moment.

Dunst has progressively declined in the looks department over these three films, I largely blame her large weight loss
yea she actually looked presentable in part one....downhill from there

WTF, Parker? Like an idiot!

Emo-Parker :down

See this is what I don't understand, people are continuining to call him 'Emo Parker', but the last time I checked I've never witnessed anyone 'Emo' dancing in the street and possessing a great deal of confidence and swagger. In fact I'm pretty sure it's the opposite. I don't recall anyone calling John Travolta an Emo

Yes but please, get it... it's just a shortcut to call this Peter version that's based on his haircut.
