The WTF Moments Of Spider-Man 3

There are many wtf moments, but Harry's line when Peter confronted him took the cake for me: "Her kisses..." *make out session with his hand* "...where like strawberries."

This wouldn't pass in a soap opera, what were they thinking?

Thank god this is a movie, not a soap opera :cwink:

- Peter playing piano and dancing like a maniac
- The many coincidences like Peter being near the large bell when he wanted to remove the suite
- Peter constantly pointing at women and hopping around
- Eddie Brock asking for god to kill Peter. That seemed a little too drastic. Eddie needed more character development.
- Peter kissing Gwen. Why would he do that? He didn't have the black suite on so he was still his old self. He was gonna ask MJ to mary him yet he still kisses other women?
- Venom asking Sandman for help
- Peter watching the crowd without his mask on, on Spiderman day.

wtf moments for me were;

Peter standing in front of his wide open window in the daytime in Spidey outfit without his mask on, getting ready to jump out!!!

The now nearly infamous Butler scene. Bernard's negligence here is almost criminal.

Peter playing the piano like a seasoned pro. Who knew the symbiote was a jazz lover?

The too-convenient symbiote earth landing next to Peter and MJ.

The over-played emo Peter downtown scene. Still funny tho'.

None the less, LOVED the move overall!

spread the gif

spider.gif

Now that's a WTF moment!!! :woot: :woot: :woot:

Killgore, could u make a gif of Gwen or Venom? :yay: thnx..

^ That should be made into an avatar. lol.

I'd have to say that the audience watching the final battle without being worried that this huge sand dude could come hurling at them at any moment was a wth moment.

That scene is becoming so damn popular... It'll become a classic :D

D!

what about spiderman 1 and 2?

Every second counts in that situation, he should have MOVED QUICKLY. It would be understandable if he somehow risked his own life to save HIS OWN DAUGHTER or at least asking a subordinate to help...

When I read posts like this, I start to wonder what the hell we're all doing here!?! :csad:

I just had a dreadful thought, in 2009 this film will come to tv, and you know what that means?
"Spiderman is on!!"
"Which one?!"
"3!!"
"Oh Hell no!!"

The scene where Peter was strutting down the street kind of reminded me of the South Park episode where Mr. Garrison got his nose job (and also strutted down the street).

Another WTF moment is why doesn't Aunt May or cookies girl ask Peter why he has a friggin' police radio in his room?

Did anyone catch the woman seated behind Gwen at the parade?

After Gwen screams, "Spider-Man" for his entrace, everyone starts cheering. Check out the woman behind Gwen. The woman has her arms raised and is bobbing her head like a ******. Me and my friend almost lost it during that part.

yes that has been pointed out. I don't know how anyone could miss it, it looked like arkham asylum had broke out on Spiderman Day

It is a pretty popular reference. Saturday Night Fever and all.

And yes Peter does know how to play the Piano.

I didn't even see this.

Supposition. I'm not saying that it's wrong, but you suppose.
The most WTF point of the entire movie is that we MUST SUPPOSE the major parts of the scenes that are not explicated.
I hope that 3.1 will fix some editing.

Well he just sounded like a little kissass to me. He was such a suck up trying to show how good and wholesome he is. He didn't give off the impression that he wants to marry this girl because the times we did see him with her he was like "yeah, whatever. Glad you're okay.".

I suggest you A night at the Roxbury ... you'll love it
Seen it. Not a fan. Is it so hard to just let go and laugh in a Spider-man flick? If this was in a straight out comedy you'd probably laugh.

Maybe that's why I enjoy these movies. I check my brain at the door and enjoy what's given to me. I don't pay $11.00 to nitpick the crap out of something. Can you imagine if I did that at the carnival? "This music sucks! Why do you have to make it go so fast?! My seatbelt's too tight!". There were just no glaring problems for me. Movies like Batman & Robin make me pause and rewind just to make sure I saw what I really saw or heard what I heard. I found entertainment value in this movie and that's what matters. The comedic elements meshed well with the serious elements for me. Spider-man 3 did a good job of that. Batman & Robin didn't. It was awkward and weird.

I'm saying his daughter (I repeat HIS OWN DAUGHTER) was hanging for her life and a normal reaction would be to run off immediately up the building or pointing out to the fire dep't crew that his daughter is up there and I mean immediately after seeing with his own eyes with the camera and he shouldn't have wasted time with Eddie. Come on, a father seeing his own daughter like that in a fatal situation and yet just stood there listen to Brock talk B.S. You don't see that as a WTF moment?!?

Every second counts in that situation, he should have MOVED QUICKLY. It would be understandable if he somehow risked his own life to save HIS OWN DAUGHTER or at least asking a subordinate to help him or pressuring a fire dep't crew to move things faster -- that would be a normal reaction and understandable.

Brock - "Oh my God... That's Gwen". -- after saying this and explained the situation to the Captain, what did he do?!? Nothing except (u said it yourself) the awkward introduction -- I could have accepted this but only if they did something to help Gwen.

"And did Eddie ever seem like he cared THAT much about Gwen?" -- That's precisely what's so WTF about his behavior. He introduced himself as GWEN'S BF! But he showed that WTF behavior! And do u remember he said to Gwen that he had an amazing night with her? And another thing, Eddie seeing her with Emo Peter fueled his rage against Spidey/Peter when he transformed to Venom. It's not the main factor but it contributed in his vengeance against Pete. So yes, Eddie does care about Gwen; that's why I see his behavior along with Capt. Stacy's a WTF moment.

Okay so Captain Stacy should have lost his cool and immediately started yelling at people to move faster?

Eddie cared about what Gwen did FOR him. As far as he was concerned her name was girlfriend. He was pissed that Peter stole from him something that was HIS. He took his career from him, took his life from him, and now he took his girl. As for his talk about the dinner, the man is an egomaniac. Did you see his reaction when she told him it was just coffee? I thought he was gonna backhand her. Not to mension he's a major flirt. He was trying to get into Betty Brant's pants just a few scenes earlier.

Ahh, now THATS entertainment value, and I didn't have to pay for it. Then again I didn't have to pay to see SM3 either, buts that another story altogether....

With all this talk about camp, I thought I'd spread my insight.

**Everyone mutters** "Oh great, lets hear what batman11 has to say. :oldrazz:

Anyways, hears what I think. With regards to the "camp" at the beginning of the film, I think that it was utilized well, and fit the whole idea of Peter being on top of the world, and everything is okay. For example, the scene with the kid saying "No Spider-Man." when he kissed Gwen was cute, and fit the early mood.

However, and this is a big however, it all shoulda stopped when teh symbiote took over Pete. When an organism that "enhances aggression" takes over someone, I don't wanna see him dancing in the streets. Yes, I understand what Raimi was trying to do, showing how Peter's attitude had drastically changed, but wasn't this movie supposed to be dark? I was expecting more scenes like when Pete was yelling at Ditcovich and his attitude while fighting the men in the club. I wanted to see an evil, dark Spidey, not an even quirkier Peter. But hey, thats just me, and I'm not saying the scene wasn't funny, its just that maybe have a similar scene in the beginning with Pete strutting around, showing how Spidey has gone to his head, and then when he gets the symbiote, have him become really menacing, thus creating even more reason for him to want to get rid of it.

Now having said that, it was one pretty weird, yet funny scene. Could've worked in a comedy flick IMO. :D
