My brother actually knew PB... He wrote this on his facebook page "Pro Wrestling Chatter and Things That Matter."

Bill was the most "known" wrestling star that I knew best. He really helped me with advice, even offering me personal assistance if I wanted to move to Tennessee, to continue my pursuit of a pro wrestling career. I helped with his website, and introduced him to a site I worked for called "Old school wrestling." We did argue at times, but I considered him a friend. Sad to hear this, R.I.P. Paul Bearer/Percy Pringle.

Farewell Percy Pringle AKA Paul Bearer 1954-2013

As Percy Pringle, he has managed Rick Rude, Ultimate Warrior, Lex Luger, and Steve Austin.

As Paul Bearer, he has managed both Undertaker and Kane.

A very memorable wrestling manager. He will be missed by his family, friends, fans, and the wrestling community worldwide.

I feel like playing WWE'13 in a bit to have Paul Bearer as a manager for a few matches for my created characters..Especially my created self.

Agreed,I admit I had watery eyes for Eddie for a few days after his passing,I would think of him and feel so sad as if I knew him personally

Yes, Eddie's passing affected me pretty hard too...he is one of my all-time favorites.

I remember watching William Moody in his WCCW days as Percy Pringle. So when he debuted in the WWF as Paul Bearer, it took awhile for me to get used to this highly cartoonish persona. He played the part well, and made it work.

While I cannot sit here and honestly say that Paul Bearer was one of my favorite characters, I cannot deny the impact that he, Taker, Kane and Mankind made on the WWF in the 90s. Thank you for the memories, Mr. Moody!

To be honest, I were WWE, I'd work towards getting rid of the WHC. The problem with the WHC is that it's not as popular as the WWE title (and with brand extension over it only plays second fiddle to it), and it's only distracting from the IC title. Brand extension is over. There's no need for two major titles anymore. I'd work towards a unification match and get rid of it. There's so much focus on both that and the WWE titles that the US and IC titles are suffering for it.

I like the idea, but I'm on the fence about it. The WWE title scene would be crowded. Unless the IC title is used in place of the WHC and guys like Orton and Sheamus fight over it.

Elimination Chamber 2013 will be released on Blu-Ray, but as an exclusive from Best Buy. I hope this means the return of monthly PPVs being released on Blu-Ray again. WWE shouldn't have gone back to releasing just their big 4 PPVs on the format.

I'm hoping they start releasing more of the ppvs on blu ray. I guess it depends on sales , but it's been very inconsistent. Last year we got Summerslam and SS on blu ray , but not the year before that. I think this year we get Elimination Chamber is because they expect a ppv featuring The Rock will do good business.

I'm calling it now.. I think that Mania we will see Taker continue the streak and at the end of a match that may be close to HBK/Taker caliber that Taker extends his hand out of respect for Punk and Punk accepting it... ending the whole " I deserve respect thing"

I said the same thing a week ago because I want to see Punk turn face again. I hope this thought gets into the collective conscience and WWE actually does it. Also the face turn can set up Brock vs Punk for Summerslam.

Honestly, I dont think there's a better opportunity for Cena to turn heel than Wrestlemania 29, and they're letting him acknowledge the boos more. It could lead to something, but if Cena doesn't turn heel, I think it's going to be a gigantic missed opportunity to have a "Wrestlemania moment".

I could see the look on his face Monday night. It seems like the seeds are being planted , but WWE might just be teasing us. The heel turn would turn this ppv into something truly special though.

The ideal time to turn Cena heel was when Jeff Hardy was at his peak in WWE, they could have turned him and had a true #1 face for him to feud with

Jeff was over with the crowd and could of been at the top for a long time , but he made bad decisions and couldn't be relied on. Meanwhile Punk lives drug free and they still didn't take the chance. I wish Jeff had come back to WWE. I prefer him there for some reason , but also because continuing the feud with Punk could of been awesome.

Basically I'm stating how to improve on current frustrations some have with the WWE at the moment as well as other things Sorry guys but I just wanted a give a rundown of some things I've been thinking today regarding the WWE.

The same things have been said in this thread before. I think most of us feel your frustration and want WWE to improve. Nothing wrong with that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't want to see Punk turn face anytime soon. His persona is much better suited to that of a heel, I think he's a better heel than a face, and I think he's incredible as a heel right now. I also don't want to see Punk feud with Lesnar, I want to see the 2 of them form a stable under the leadership of Paul Heyman and cause chaos throughout the WWE.

But also - Rest in peace to Paul Bearer. I got the text message from a friend about it tonight. Sad to hear.

WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years.

Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans.

I was just watching one of his shoot videos yesterday. This is sad. RIP Paul Bearer. I didn't see much of him as Percy Pringle managing Steve Austin , but his time with Undertaker is unforgettable.

RIP Paul Bearer.

God I hope they're not stupid enough to use his death for cheap CM Punk heat.

I think it goes with the territory in WWE. Punk made fun of Lawler's heart attack so I wouldn't be surprised if he says something Monday. Unfortunately the Undertaker isn't an emotional character so I'd imagine it would be hard for him to respond to certain jabs without breaking character.

RIP Paul Bearer . You know its really weird you hardly met any of these wrestlers but when one of them dies it's like you've known the guy for a long while and it feels like you lost an old friend.

I think after watching them for so long you develop a connection. I never met Owen , but did see him perform live and for many years on tv. I cried when I found out he died. Also I was depressed when Benoit died and felt awful about Savage's death.

Punk could play virtually the same character as a face if WWE weren't so stale that they fit all their faces with stand up comedy booking, the fact is the crowd really don't want to boo him. As for your stable idea, Brock is only on very limited dates, there is no way to make that work since we'll be lucky to see him in 2 PPV matches and 8 Raw's for the rest of the year.

^ That moment was hilarious. It's hard to boo someone when they are being badass.

Punk is a great heel , but the WWE needs a top face to counter him. At this point he's one of the few people I root for.

A stable would be fun, but Brock isn't going to be around enough. Unless they do it in the next couple weeks. The teaming of Brock and Punk would lead to their dissension and eventual match-up though. It's already been rumored for Summerslam and I think that will be the direction they go.

I think Punk is more entertaining as a heel than a face. As time went on he got pretty boring as a good guy in my opinion. However, I think he's most entertaining when he straddles the line between the two. The whole thing that got me back into wrestling was CM Punk in the weeks leading up to and following Money in the Bank 2011. It's like once he became champion he wasn't allowed to be "edgy" anymore.

I feel somewhat disenfranchised as I have no babyface to get behind. I mean Sheamus is a guy that I like but he's too smiley now. He should be a man of few words who doesn't crack jokes and just destroys people. Think Wolverine.

This is why I want either Punk or Ziggler to turn face. Because the faces in WWE suck. TNA knows how to have face characters who aren't annoying pieces of crap, so WWE has no excuse.

Why do you want them to turn face when you know exactly how WWE is going to treat them?

I was just thinking bout Bearer the other day when watching some WWE dvds.
Such a good character.
Sad news.

R.I.P Paul Bearer. One if the most iconic and best managers of all time.

I think that came down him not having that many intresting opponents or storylines as time went on. Punk lost some momentum but I agree CM Punk is at his best as a inbetweener to me. The rebelious outspoken outsider who doesn't always play by the rules is the best persona.

RIP, Paul Bearer. Somebody just texted me and I thought it was a joke but sadly its not. One of the great wrestling managers.

Punk lost momentum with the whole HHH/Laurinaitis/Nash F-up.

I still wish he had more time off after running off with the title last summer. Showing up at Raw/SmackDown in the audience, maybe a few indie shows. Really draw it out and wind up Vince/Cena that he is the true champion.
