Thomas Hayden Church.. aka Sandman was quoted with saying there won't be a director's cut, and how they filmed four different endings.

He better be wrong, because not JUST the ending, but the WHOLE movie was swiss cheesed!!!!

If I remember correctly all he said was that those alternate endings would not be included on the DVD, not that a 3.1 would not be made.

i dont mean to be rude, but your "quoted" title is extremely misleading, and his interview by no means rules out a 3.1 or extended dvd

Yes he says that! There will be an extended cut. Their lust for money cannot be left aside. They are sick, everyone knew that this film would smash records and earn enough money, but know; they just had to cut it. And it is greatly felt by the end of the film. Only the endings will not be there, and it is ok that way. If they put more information between the church scene and the ending I think this film would be perfect. The film was great, by my opinion, until the church and then it became ridiculously rushed. To justify Venom's character we need one scene with him at the top of the church on rain, where we can have a fix on him and his face before the "let's make a pointless and senseless alliance" scene. All we got of Venom was jumping and fighting and only scenes when he was standing still was with Brock's face I hate when they do that, just like the eyes on the Goblin's mask which go up and down to show his expression. But the fact is that that expression cannot be noticed and it is pointless then. ******ed!

Yeah. Church's comment doesn't mean there won't be a 3.1 with additional scenes, just that he doesn't think they'll show the alternate endings- which Sony of course will show, because it means additional bucks.

If anything, THC's comments are saying that there WILL be a 3.1... he talks about Sam putting additional material in a Spidey 3 dvd that he really wished he could've had in the theatrical version. Just says that you won't see a version of this film with an alternate ending tacked on the end. We didn't have deleted scenes for Spidey 1 or 2, and I'm not expecting them for this either... if Ghost Rider (and 2.1) are any indication, we'll have a director's cut, and hopefully as a simultaneous release (assuming the theatrical version was Sam having made his version, then pull out what Sony thought was 'boring')
