I think it's quite easy to understand Twilight's popularity. Think about it like Bay's Transformers. Is there really much to the movies besides giant robots fighting? I think even fans of the movies say that it's just a bunch of robots fighting. Everyone acknowledges that it's crap outside of that, even fans. Why is that? Because guys like giant robots fighting. What do little girls like? Romance, especially when it's ultra unrealistic. That's why Twilight is so popular. Do you really think that these girls who go see that **** question why a hundred year old vampire is robbing the cradle with a mediocre looking high schooler? Hell no. They're going, "oooooooooh I want a vampire lover like that!"
