Things you wanna see in Spidey 3

-Christmas time
-Lots of snow
-Spidey with a cold
-Pete and MJ getting evicted out of the apartment they share

Boy, how great of a sub-conflict would that be?

It's already been implied that Aunt May knows. Watch the "There's a hero in all of us" scene again.

I'm with you, except for the Christmas time part (I like the snow part, if shot on location, fake snow looks like sh:t on film), holiday themes are a horrible combination with these types of films. Seeing a Christmas tree and presents that coinside with sharing and caring makes me f---ing sick.

-Lizard
-Relationship problems
-Rainy or snowing take your pick
-Cold
-Peter breaks his arm to Lizard
-Peter tries to reconcile with Harry who "accepts" but needs time to sort things out.
-Pete and MJ (living together) get engaged
-Engagement almost falls apart
-Harry tries to comfort MJ
-Peter and MJ prove their love and will now get married
-Harry feels that now that MJ knows Pete is Spidey, and stays with him, and ignores he (Harry) that she betrayed him.
-Final straw is broken and Harry experiments on himself
-MJ is put IN NO DANGER but is very worried about Peter out there in this one and also feels abandoned hence relationship problems.
-A some sort of "To Be Continued" with Harry spying on MJ and Peter after they swing through the city (always has to end with a swing or near the end anyways) and Harry spies on them throught the window...on a glider

Then this would be shot back to back with SM4 (like Kill Bill and LOTR and hopefully not Like Matrix 2 and 3) and then SM4 is the finale (of Raimi films anyway). We have the marriage a comin'. We have Harry disappear. GG2 reappear (or Hobby if you want) and torture the lovebirds. For the first time since SM2 MJ is put in danger (no danger for her in SM3) and Peter and Harry must confront their demons with eachother together. Harry dies saving MJ and Peter at the end. Peter and MJ get married. The End.

Enter 2011 (three years after SM4 in 2008) and we get SPIDER-MAN: A NEW BEGINNING starring a whole new cast with a new director, for a new trilogy if you will...the Venom trilogy.

BTW if it is snowing no Christmas. While it worked beautifully with Burton in Batman Returns we all know Raimi would screw it up and make it overly sappy (I like Raimi and he is perfect for this job but keep him as far away as possible from anymore sappy cliches).

I hated that Christmas sh:t in Batman Returns. That's my #1 reason why a hate Christmas in these types of films. I think I'm afraid of fake snow, presents and Christmas trees. The only action movie to get the Christmas theme right was DIE HARD.

how did they get it right?

By simply down playing Christmas, and focusing more on the action, the deadly storyline at hand, and using an R-rating which can block out candyland Christmas fun by using the 'F-WORD' whenever possible.

Things I want to see in Spider-Man 3:

- Lizard and GG2 if done right

- battle on rooftop

- battle down in the sewers

- battle on the street level infront of a huge crowd of people

- battle in central park, at night

- chaotic wedding between MJ and Peter

- a cut short honeymoon because need of Spider-Man

- something happens so Spider-Man saves Jameson's son in front of Jameson

- more cool webswinging

- a big surprise

- maybe a minor villian, if done right

- opening sequence similar to spider-man 2, with the second film being summarized by drawings

I AGREE! That's my favorite movie, period.

so having it R rated and using the F word makes it "done right"?

You can still do a Spidey movie in Christmas season without all the happy feel-good cheer. Who says in order to have a Christmas movie that you need all of that? Obviously, it worked to perfection in Die Hard, but that's only because they broke the rules with Christmas movies. For a Spidey movie, you just need to get the point across that it's Christmas time, with the Snow, the Christmas lights, and well, that's all you need. Once the audience buys the fact that it's Christmas time, they'll know what your doing with the story, without all the cheesy cheerful junk.

in order to make a "Christmas movie" you DO need that. In order to make a movie that take place during the Christmas season but doesn't have anything to do with Christmas, no you don't. Die Hard is hardly a "Christmas movie".

And have Spidey nearly freeze to death in his tights. That's what I want to see, especially if he's fighting a big bad guy.

Plus, if they DO have Harry as GG2, what better contrast to their personal vendetta than the "season of good cheer?"

And somebody needs to find the way they did fake snow in It's a Wonderful Life...that stuff won an Oscar for fake-looking snow! (The movie was shot during a record heat wave in July, not Christmastime.)

I never said you MUST ignore all of the cliche Christmas elements, I implied that that's what you might do if you wanted a workable Spidey X-mas movie.

Really? I watch that every year right after "The Santa Clause." It's a holiday family calssic, man! ;)
"Yippie-ki-yay, motherf***er." Ah, tis the season to be jolly....

BTW, Die Hard is indeed a Christmas movie. Don't see how you can say otherwise.

When they categorize the film (and it is not only one of my personal all time favorites, but considered by many to be the framework for the mondern action film) it's not categorized as a Christmas movie. It's a cop takes on the world action flick set in a Christmas setting. All that "cheesy" stuff you talk about, that's what makes a Christmas movie a Christmas movie.

If they are going to use snow, film the movie during that time of year, fake snow sucks!

Yes, you're right. But tre you implying that Die Hard is no Christmas movie?

-It shows John's daughter on the phone with Christmas decorations in the background.
-Holly telling her not "to go snooping around looking for presents"
-The Nakatomi employees are having a Christmas party
-Office Al Powel whistles "Let it Snow"
-Argyle wisecracks the final line of the movie: "If this is your idea of Christmas, I gotta be here for new years."
-Plus dozens of other elements of Christmas

I'd say that's a Christmas movie. Just because a movie isn't about Christmas, doesn't necassarily mean its not a Christmas movie. You can't compare Die Hard with "A Christmas Story" because they are on two different levels, but they can be identified as Christmas movies.

Same goes to Spidey. If it takes place in a Christmas setting, it would still necassarily be a Christmas movie, but at the same time it wouldn't be because its not a movie about Christmas.

Did you even read my post?

Did you not read my saying down-playing Christmas, by having more focus on the "ACTION" and "STORY?"

i'd like to see how eddie brock become venom and carnage uniting with cleuts cassidy..and them fighting spider-man..if the guy whos directing wants this..haha
