B&R brings back horrible memories.
I understand many of you dislike the movie, but was it really THAT bad? Would you honestly put it in the same category as....
Honestly, I'd say it's closer to this:
I haven't seen anyone compare it to Batman and Robin.
It's definitely the weakest of the Spider-Man movies as far as I'm concerned. And, that's not so much down to Raimi, but to Arad for his interferences. If he'd just let Sam tell the story he wanted to tell, like in the first two movies, then this movie probably would have faired better with fans.
It's not a bad movie, it's just below par of it's predecessors.

Batman Forever is an awesome movie!
Me neither but there is so much hatred that I'm wondering people really hate the movie or are just upset that it wasn't as good as the first two.
Honestly, I'd say it's closer to this:
Those who complain about Raimi's treatment of Venom in Spider-Man 3 should take a look a Bane in Batman & Robin. Now that is a waste of a character. And he didn't even have a proper fight with Batman-! Bane chokes Batman, and Batman then throws him into a model snowman (!) and hits him with a iron bar (!!).
Would you prefer this:

The worst thing is that he didn't talk. He was like a frankenstein.

Please...............stop.............................my eyes !!!!!

The fact that Bane sucked doesn't lessen my disappointment in the way Venom was handled.
Actually Jason Woodrue was the Frankenstein, Bane was the monster. Sorry, I just couldn't help it.
