There's no way they would have made him that muscular. Venom has to be one of the most overdone characters in comics on the muscles. I wish Liefeld had drawn him at least once. The results would have been ****ing hilarious!

I remember that. It was alright, but I have no complaints about Venom's appearance in the movie.

Very reminiscent of that very big lower jaw look Venom has sported.

I remember reading somewhere that Erik Larsen didn't like Venom & tried to f*** up his look so he wouldn't be asked to draw him anymore.

This^ was the result. It not only backfired, but became more or less the standard for a while.
