I'm not trying to be argumentive. Believe me, if I felt like you I'd totally agree with some of your opinions.

but I will say that Venom, in the film, was nothing in the way how he looked in the bust and the figures. He didn't have the long tongue as was in the figures,

Yep, agree with this. The statues were good, 5 inch figure was bad at resembling the movie version and its tongue was far too long. Trilogy figure was better but the arms were too long, and both figures had this snout-like mouth. The only one to do the movie design justice was the 360 Unleashed one, which I got for Christmas by the way and it's amazing. Too bad it's not on scale with the other movie figures. My only gripe about him is he needs more teeth.

As for him not looking like this bust.

Lastly, I'm too lazy to take a screen cap now, even though I REALLY want a hi-res shot of this, but in this fan trailer go to 1:34-1:35ish and pause. That's what really reminds me of the bust. The only big difference would be the eyes, which I like the bust's better. Or whatever that is. I don't even know if it's a released product.

Can agree with this. I'm happy that he even had the symbol. It was dead on to the comics, some minor changes made to make it look more vicious.

and he didn't once flex as in the posters. The only time you had a chance to see his muscles was right before he got on all fours and ran after Peter(when Peter was tied up).

Posters? We got ONE poster of Venom. One official one. That was the Eddie Brock with the Symbiote coming on him. Then you posted a screen cap of Venom from the leaked trailer we weren't even supposed to see, which by the way is the way he looked in 3, except not THAT skinny. The others are just promo artwork done for board games and stuff like that. I personally think they look cool, but the two you posted have issues with the face. The first one has a horse mouth, and the second has those weird lips that look more like it could be mechanical (? Hard to describe).

From the look of Venom in the movie itself, it looked just like the black-suited Spider-Man unless Venom opened its mouth. Plus, the lighting was so dark, it was hard to see that "twisted version" clearly that Raimi kept talking about.

Yeah. Mouth closed he did look like black suit Spidey. But he rarely had it closed. So I was cool with that.
As for the lighting, I don't think it was "too" dark. Dark, but not to the point where I couldn't tell what was going on. I wished Venom had a day time scene, or in a well lit area.

There are none besides those promo ones. Only one you'll find is the Eddie turning into Venom.

Listen peeps, I'm not choosing sides here. But...come on, still getting into over what Venom should have looked like is getting pretty old. Spider-Man 3 has come and went, and blah blah blah. We're all beating a dead horse here.

I agree. In fact,the two major changes they made to his look are things I really liked. The first was the webbing on the suit and the second was the strands of the symbiote that wrapped around Brock when he showed his human face.

Yes and also the fact that he never spoke as Venom (except for the part where he ask Sandman for help)! And that squil voice was annoying as hell.

The logo was darker when it should be very white to which we can SEE it.

He needed more muscle, and if he was bigger, it wasn't obvious to see it in such dark lighting during the scene.

The tongue needed to be longer.

I would agree that something Hulk-sized wall-crawling & web-slinging looks ridiculous. Plus it calls into question how Spidey can withstand even one punch from him.

Keep in mind the Symbote was improving a human sized spider, but when on Brock, it's improving on a human, a strong human, but one with no powers all the same.

I liked the idea of them being reasonably close in physique. If Venom's supposed to be a warped mirror image of Spider-Man, shouldn't Brock be a warped mirror image of Peter?
