This is the End

I'm a little tired to write a decent review , but the film is hilarious. I love Danny McBride , he just killed it and had a great introduction scene. It's really funny when these guys start arguing with each other. I couldn't stop laughing when Franco and McBride fight about [BLACKOUT]McBride's *********ion habits[/BLACKOUT]. I can't think of anything negative. Jay is basically the straight man to everyone playing ignorant caricatures of themselves. Franco and McBride get the best lines. Craig is the most likeable. Jonah has some fun bits , but it's weird to see him being overly nice. There are plenty of cool surprises and stuff you might not expect. The cameo is great , lots of people weren't expecting that.

9/10

Franco and McBrides argument was hands down my favorite scene. I really was LMAO.

I think this film is going to do quite well even though it's opening this weekend. I was originally going to see Man of Steel but the trailers never really excited me, and the reviews have been middle of the road.

Haha, that killed me. I'm going to try and hit this tomorrow before I go into the MoS screening.

Funny movie. Third act was really really weak. I laughed alot... But I still feel it was a weak movie even tho I had some loud laughs. And the Franco/mcbride argument was WAY to long.

Really? I thought they committed pretty fully to the implications of what was going on story and character-wise and I didn't feel the laughs dropped off at all.

Admit it [BLACKOUT]you just hate late 90s pop.[/BLACKOUT]

I just felt it was very very bland with how they ended the movie(even goin as far as calling out that they don't have an ending).

I laughed at and I mean ALOT and for a movie that's only goal is to make me laugh, it worked I got my money's worth.

There were just plenty of little things I hated and some other things I didn't like but still got a laugh from.

[BLACKOUT]and no I don't hate late 90s pop it just reminds me of being 6 lol and god damn nick carter and the rest of them boys needed that check[/BLACKOUT]

I've been hearing about this "secret cameo" that's supposed to be really great. Spoil me please? :)

Channing Tatum as Danny McBride's dog that he occasionally has sex with.

I'll never look at him the same again.

If you needed a better context:

Basically, after Danny is kicked out of the house for being an a-hole, he rounds up a bunch of other survivors who then become a group of cannibals led by McBride.

He dresses up in all leather, and pulls Channing on a leash who is on all fours, in leather, wearing a mask.

Its pretty freakin' twisted, yet hilarious.

Dude...I don't normally watch comedies on the big screen, but this...this I need to see with a crowd.

Oh definitely. A crowd would definitely make this an EPIC movie going experience.

Devin Faraci, who's reviews I'm normally not much for, really sums up why I liked this movie so much.

Devin Faraci said:
Even still, even if you didn’t get the “Jonah Hill, America’s sweetheart” jokes or the Pineapple Express 2 trailer, the actors are playing versions of themselves just exaggerated enough to be clearly and broadly funny. What’s more, the interplay between them is absolutely extraordinary. They interact the way you think you and your friends interact; they’re like the Platonic ideal of what buddies hanging out would be like. The zingers and the jokes fly constantly, they’re almost always funny and they’re always - ALWAYS - based deep in character. And because the jokes are always coming from character, the movie slowly accumulates emotion and meaning. This film begins as a delivery system for great laughs but slowly - almost imperceptibly - morphs into something with depth.

Something I just realized, when Rogen and Franco are talking about the Pineapple Express 2 plot Franco says [blackout] that he wants to sacrifice himself to Red (McBride) to save Rogen.

Then at the end Franco DOES save Rogen by sacrificing himself to McBride who in turn eats him [/blackout] lol
