42E is unfortunately moving away from story-focused ARGs. They did Tron and as far as I can tell (judging by the fairly unhelpful Wiki that I didn't contribute to :funny: ) that was pretty worthless aside from some of the online Flash tricks. A lot of the cool stuff was found by players who got messaged by Twitter and the like. There just wasn't much story there for them to work with so they made it more of a marketing exercise.

The main people behind the TDK ARG actually left 42E and made their own company called No Mimes Media. The main :ninja: I know is still in contact with a producer on TDK, so he's hoping they'll get the gig if they're going to do it. :yay:

They also wouldn't HAVE to use a character from the movie to spearhead a good ARG, although it would probably be necessary if you wanted it to pull in mainstream attention. The one for A.I., the first movie ARG, had nothing to do with the movie characters at all but it was a full-fledged game.

Oh really? I didn't know they had split off. I'll have to keep an eye out for No Mimes now. On a side note though, I participated in a little bit of the Tron ARG and for what it was, it was pretty fun. Also got a few cool bits of memorabilia.

Also, I agree that it doesn't HAVE to be a character from the movie. I just really enjoyed how the ARG tied in so nicely with the movie's plot through it's characters. At the end of the day though, if the game is fun and engaging, it wont matter who's spear heading it.

Also, I was really pulling for The Riddler to be the next villain simply because of how awesome his puzzles would be for an ARG. :D

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I figured I would go for it anyway. As you can probably tell from my signature, I have directed this superhero film entitled Fallen. It's basically my homage to Batman and Christopher Nolan's Batman films- we shot on LaSalle Street right where they flipped the Joker's semi-truck by the Board of Trade.

Anyway, the reason why I bring it up is because you can now see the trailer for the film on Dailymotion's front page. The film debuts exclusively through Dailymotion this summer and I'm very excited to hear what you guys, as fellow Bat-fans, think of the film. Until then, check out the trailer and don't be afraid to let me know your honest thoughts.

Here's the poster for the film, created by our very own MessenjahMatt on these boards. He's done a lot of amazing concept poster artwork for The Dark Knight Rises and I think he's done an amazing job with this poster.

Very well shot and lit. It is, indeed, very reminiscent of TDK's style in terms of cinematography. Didn't manage to understand what the plot is about, though.
