Lounge.... comfy. :word:

So is it me or does Jonah Hex look like garbage? And the whole thing with a third Batman film after TDK seems too rushed without confirmation; I mean, has Nolan really even confirmed the OKAY and getting heads up on it?

Can't have a Bat Lounge with out this picture.

In Hollywood, things are usually pretty far along before they send out a official confirmation. :oldrazz: Nolan has pretty much said that Jonah and Goyer are off doing script/story work for him. No worries about a rush job here.

Unlike X-men: First Class. :o

Yea there is more time between TDK and B3 then there was between BB and TDK.

SOLIDUS! I haven't seen you around these forums in a dog's age.

Welcome back, mate. You're a sight for sore eyes.

LOL, it's always good to see you Joker!

I've been lurking on this part of the forums for a bit. And the Spidey area. But mainly posting in the Misc Film area.

But it's good to be here. The Bat train is going to start full bore after Inception is released!

For that I will have to get a new avy. I'm thinking something from Batman Confidential. But we'll see.

So don't worry I'll be around. It's gonna get crazy again!

Good morning Two-Face.

Saw Iron Man 2 last night, actually I was really surprised, I enjoyed it a lot. Almost as much as the first. But a really solid sequel.

I have a three month old!

Other than that, just living, working, thinking about going back to school.

And thanks! She's a girl, and yes, her legal name IS Selina Kylie.

OMG, congrats, JG! :woot: A little baby girl. The news totally threw me for about 5 seconds. And what a cool name!

I hope the rest of the Tusi gang resurfaces soon. It's been waaay too long, hasn't it? I wonder what everyone's been doing during the "break" or how should I call it.

If it makes you feel better, I've only been seriously going about it for the past month or so. (Yeah I know, ridiculously late..) Before then, I took a typography class, got stomach flu, recovered from stomach flu, and learned knitting. :oldrazz:

I hope you can finish it despite the daunting page count! Keeping my fingers crossed. I want to show it to all my friends who haven't experienced the virals.

It's really cool how you can tell someone's personality by how they name their pets. I have a friend who named her cats Harley and Quinn. And another who named hers Arwen and Eowyn. :lmao:

The names are indeed very telling. Not just about the personality of the owner but how they see pets/animals in general. I've read somewhere if they decide on some ridiculous cutesy name, that's how they basically view pets - as cutesy things for cuddling and smooching. If it's a serious and important sounding name (like Zeus, Andromeda, etc), chances are they're taking their pets more seriously than the average owner.

The Harley cats, that's pretty cute. I've heard of folks naming their pets Kirk and Spock, Mulder and Scully and so on. Hopefully my next dog can be named Krypto! He can have a golden collar with a golden S shield emblem hanging off it, just like Clark's dog. But I'm not one to dress up my pets in clothes, ya know, so no cape for you, Krpyto! :woot:

I loved Iron Man 2 as much as I loved the first one. I just hope IM3 doesn't suck.

Wow, CL, you read my mind. Not a few weeks ago, I talked with some of the gang and wanted to reach out and ask if a new lounge would be ok.

Anyone, public is just as good as private: thanks for the re-opening, and I for one agree with keeping it clean. I say we all lend a hand, and try and make this place a decent haven for any and all Batfans.

Here's to a great two years of goofing off, staying clean, posting news, talking like geeks, and so on.

Yeah I'm getting through it. Luckily most of it is copy/paste into a few main templates. If I had to come up with separate CSS for 400 pages....:o

What I'm decidedly avoiding for the moment is the Javascript I'd have to learn to achieve my awesome master plan for the Gotham map. I want to make it like Google maps, but dear God I have no idea how I'd do it. But I did learn CSS pretty quickly and I'm learning to read Javascript sample code, so I think I'll manage.

My bf, bless him, thinks I can totally do everything I put my mind to. :funny:

Actually, I come up with cutesy names for my pets because I think regular people names sound dumb on animals. :funny: (Fictional characters are cute though.) My roommate definitely cuddles and smooches the cats WAY more than they'd like. I'm much more respectful. :funny:

What are you trying to do with the map? Do you want text to appear in a speech bubble when people rollover a certain area and things like that? If you cut the map into several parts (like downtown, uptown, etc) so the pic isn't too large, you could do the rollover thing with a simple image map. It can be achieved with html and Photoshop or an image map maker script that helps you with the co-ordinates.

I'll give you an example: A cutesy name like "Mr Poo Poo" for a hamster or cat would be too embarrassing to me (also, everyone would know what your pet's favourite activity is, haha) but a sweet and lovely name would fit. I like "Krypto" because almost everyone here wouldn't get the reference at all. Only comic book fans would, hence it being like an inside joke only a certain type of person would get. What a fun way of meeting new people who like the same things! "Oh, I know that name! That's Superman's dog! Are you into comics?" "Yes! Finally someone gets it. BE MY FRIEND FOR LIFE, PLEASE." :yay:

I so wish for a real-life friend who's a comic book fan.

It's good to see a few old posters like Snoo, JStorm, and Anita.

Those types of people only exist on the internet. :woot:

Hi! Yes, I'm happy to see familiar names, too! Hopefully most of the people I talked to come back now that we've got a release date. The pre-production period is going to be one hell of a partaaay around these parts. You can already see members who've joined way back in 2006, coming out of the woodworks. It has begun!

*makes a sad panda face* I know! They do for the most part.

I have two real life comic-book/fanboy friends.

That's great, you're lucky! I've never met anyone into comic books. Some guys aged 20-35 tend to be familiar with comic book films but their interest ends there and they don't get into them as much as people on this board. Their knowledge of superheroes is pretty basic. They recognize the Superman and Batman logos on a t-shirt, for instance, because the average person would, and they can agree Heath rocked as the Joker, but mention The Long Halloween or "Bruce Wayne is going to be back soon, you know, even though I love Dick as Batman", and you're going to get blank stares. :csad:

It's kind of bizarre being "the comic book chick" in any social setting. Has the world turned upside down? Usually a group has "that guy", the guy who knows his comics and superheroes. But wherever I go, I'm "that guy", except I'm a woman, and the males don't read comics and don't want to. JUST MY LUCK.

I'm newly single again. . . just sayin'. :ninja:
