Endgame Thor/God of Thunder - Chris Hemsworth

Thor is a bonafide chemistry magnet. Once you add him to the mix things just work.
So many great relationships recently, pairings, moments... Ragnarok really breath new life into CH portrayal of the character.
Thor - Loki / Thor - Hulk / Thor - Valkyrie / Thor - Doctor Strange / Thor - Korg / Thor - Guardians / Thor - Rocket...

What they've been able to do with Thor recently is just fantastic. He had been in two of his own films, and two Avengers films, but it never really felt like the studio had gotten it right.

Man, has that ever changed with Ragnarok and Infinity War.

To be fair, I have loved Thor's character since the beginning. His arc is actually my favourite in the whole MCU (and yes, I'm including The Dark World too).

I'm with you, but it certainly does feel like it has been taken to the next level recently.

There were some good ideas in The Dark World, but it didn't feel to me like Thor's arc was emphasized enough.

The first movie was fine from that point of view. The arrogant heir to the throne being cast out and learning some sense of responsibility.

Oh I agree he undoubtedly became one of the best characters thanks to Ragnarok and Infinity War. I just think he was a bit underrated before. Besides, Hemsworth has always been wonderful in his portrayal.

For IW we had a "tag scene" in the trailer featuring Thor meeting the GotG.
The pairing was incredible and it all worked very well... not to mention Thor's relationship with Rocket which was undoubtably one of the biggest standouts in the whole movie.

Now in AEG we have another "tag scene" with Thor, this time meeting Captain Marvel...
There have been hints that these 2 will in fact team up and it might very well be another winning combination. Already the overall reaction to them together has been overwhelmingly positive.

I am getting giddy and already dream of a combination of Thor, Captain Marvel and Iron Man blasting away at Thanos, at the same time.
That is going to be an awesome sight. I did like the finishing move on Ultron of Thor, Iron Man and Vision blasting him at the same time before Hulk delivered the knockout punch.

Definitely love Thor and Carol's staredown

My favourite scene of the Avengers working together, straight out of a freaking comic panel!

I hate it, Thor's lightning looked lame and weak in that shot.

It was like the "love tap" of lightning bolts, it was almost as lame as Thor's lightning blast when he fought Iron Man in TA.

Stormbreaker or Mjolnir...for me I choose Mjolnir every single time

No one was asking.

It's great you're enthusiastic but it can be a bit much. People will like you if you are actually confident and not just trying to parrot what you think is popular. Your insecurity is showing.

In the comics or animated series I'll take Mjolnir everytime, but in the MCU it's Stormbreaker easily.

The present is Stormbreaker and that’s where my focus is. I’m happy with it. Is it as meaningful and iconic as Mjolnir? No. Is it as good looking? I would also say no.

But it’s an impressive, extremely powerful and very special weapon in its own right. Also we saw how and where it was made, we saw what it took from our heroes, we know what it was made for and meant to be... that too, adds another substancial layer of importance and character to Stormbreaker.

I agree. Mjolnir is the more iconic weapon in general but in the MCU they give Stormbreaker a ton of meaning as it's so naturally integrated in the story of Thor and the MCU as a whole. Not only did they have to struggle in order to create it, it's also both bound to trying to save the universe and being a king's weapon so it puts another level of Thor's journey to becoming king. The king of Asgard both the leader of his people and a powerful defender against evil in the universe.

I just hope we get to see Thor as king in another solo film.

Stormbreaker works well because Thor risked his own life to create it. It feels like something that he earned in a way that Mjolnir really didn't.

The star forge in Infinity War is to Thor almost what the cave scene is to Iron Man.

It's a great example of how Marvel studios builds up its character in smart, impressive ways.

Yeah, loved that whole sequence. Thor was awesome in that whole scene. Plus Tyrion, Groot and Rocket. Just epic.
