Thor Ragnarok Spoilers

So this involves the Thor losing an eye and it not being seen in the IW which is leading many to doubting these spoilers.

I screencap from one of the Thor 3 trailers and I have to ask if at this moment in the movie if Thor had already lost his eye, because to me in the cap if you look at the eye on the left (right eye) it looks like blood is around/under it.

Hey Kingdork,

Does Thor: Ragnarok flesh out and develop its cast sufficiently? It's been primarily described as a comedy, but are there character moments and emotion that Waititi has been shown repeatedly to master so flawlessly in his previous films?

Thanks.

Yes it does, he says the character work is great and all the main characters are fleshed out.

Technically that's his right eye, but I get what your're saying. Could be.

I know I was wondering if I should go back in an edit it, at first I wasn't going to, but I did I went in and adding a more explain version.

Hey guys,

"You're welcome" is in order to all the people who thanked me for answering your questions. It's been cool and fun for me. But yeah I'm gonna call it a day in fear it gets out of control ^^ Also questions I've already answered keep popping up.

Anyway it'll be fun to see how the movie is perceived when it comes out because I can't stress enough that it won't be for everyone.

And yeah it is. :)

HAHA I spotted the blood from his missing eye. YEA me.

How did Hulk end up on Sakaar?

This has already been answered, read back a few pages.

Those people crack me up, like Marvel were going to spoil something big like Thor losing an eye in the IW trailer. :whatever: Of course they wouldn't.

Yeah you’ve done plenty already. Thanks for coming by again and see you next time!

I fully believe that's why they're not releasing the official trailer for IW yet. When it finally is released, he'll have his missing eye.

Yeah, and if you look at the IW promo poster from CC, his right eye is not visible. Maybe that was intentional.

So many people made accounts to ask questions without reading the thread.

(Which is what I did lol)

Lmao some people incited the old Thor vs Hulk argument from the first Avengers reared his head.

So, the word is that Sif doesn't appear indeed and Feige didn't want to explain why, when asked about it.

Yeah, just saw that. What's up with that? Is she in the movie at all? From what I remember on this forum, someone mentioned that she dies?

I'm still trying to understand how Miek is like Groot. KD mentioned that and I'm intrigued.

I am a little too. My friend will really hate this because she loved them together!

Stupid Universal who won't give Marvel the Hulk back :cmad:

Technically, this is wrong. Marvel has the rights to the Hulk, just not distribution rights. Universal gets first rights to refuse to distribute any Hulk film. Basically, they get a huge payout for doing nothing -- let's say 50%. Marvel doesn't want to give up that much to anyone -- that's not even counting the film would be CGI intensive and would need to make even more to be profitable.

Anyways, to stay on topic, I can't wait to see Hulk ragdoll/Loki Thor in this one. It's going to be gif worthy for sure :)

How dare you! *gets restrained while losing it*

Hulk is clearly a powerhouse but he's an impulsive rage monster. Thor on the other hand is level headed and can think in terms of strategy, so he has an advantage and that makes him a better fighter. So because of that he can deal with the Hulk. We saw him dodging, counter-attacking, trying to reason with him but at one point he let loose and they both go at it. So to me, Hulk was the Hulk as in punch, punch, smash, smash. Thor was more skilled and while there were lots of times the Hulk bested him, I believe he came out on top because of this.

Now when Thor let loose and started lightening up, you could feel the tide changing. Hulk was pummeling the **** out of Thor but then he got up and lighted up and blam! Then they run towards each other like in the trailer and Hulk took a mean lightening uppercut and was sent away. The force of the blast sent Thor away as well and the crowd was then chanting "Lord of Thunder" instead of "Hulk". At that moment, Thor was getting on top. The crowd noticed it, chanted his name, and the Grandmaster look worried AF. Then he activated Thor's disk, but NOT TO END the fight in a draw. The fight doesn't end there. It weakens Thor, THEN Hulk does a massive super jump to meteor down on a incapacitated Thor. As Hulk descends with his fist on Thor we have a POV shot of Thor looking up at Hulk and slowly raising his hand ready to block to punch. Thor still has some fight in him. But then he fainted. Cut to Thor's wounds being tended to. The Grandmaster cheated to give Hulk, his champion, the win. He didn't end the fight to call it a draw. He incapacitated Thor so Hulk could finish him. Which he did. And Thor even complained to Hulk afterwards that this was some major bull.

Could Hulk deal lightning Thor? Maybe, I think if he got angrier as Thor was getting more juiced up he might. But in the movie, Grandmaster cheated to give his champion a victory.

Here's my take on things..

Grandmaster has a vested interest in the Hulk winning. As others have pointed out, it's essentially a wrestling match with the winner pre-determined. Who knows if there's side betting, merchandising rights, etc, but more than likely Grandmaster profits from things.

So, Grandmaster did assist in the win, but didn't stop Thor who was still going strong.

That being said, one thing consistent about Thor that I see everyone continue to ignore is his durability/endurance. Hulk seems to amp up the longer things go in MCU films. Thor has to dodge bullets for crying out loud.

Now would this change after being amped up from Odin? Who knows? As long as he still has to dodge bullets I'd argue he's vulnerable on that angle. Yes, he has access to many more powers, he just never seems to take advantage of them. For someone suppoosedly as tough as Thor, the fact he continues to have to dodge bullets just ruins any attempts to portray Thor as tough. A god should not be afraid of bullets.

I think had the battle gone on it'd remain a stalemate. The audience turning on Hulk would only benefit him making him angrier.

KD said he doesn't remember her in the movie at all. So it's entirely plausible she's not in it indeed.
