Joaqenix said:What are you talking about? No she can't.
You're clearly a Mystique fan, but you're wrong. Whilst useful, Mystique is far away from the most powerful mutant.uknowho said:I agree with you. Mystique's mutant ability alone would put her somewhere on the Class 3-4 scale.
But with her martial arts skills and intelligence, she becomes the most deadly mutant ever.
Hey, we're not taking into consideration how even mutants continue their mutations over time. Perhaps Mystique will even be able to copy other mutants' powers with time. That will make her unstoppable.
I didn't say she was the most powerful mutant, that spot is reserved for Phoenix. I did say Mystique was the most deadly.Avalanche said:You're clearly a Mystique fan, but you're wrong. Whilst useful, Mystique is far away from the most powerful mutant.

I think she did. That makes me wonder if Mags would be a 4.Ebil Gig said:Didn't Callisto say that Phoenix was the only class level 5 she ever sensed?
Well, surely Phoenix is more deadly? She killed whole swathes of people in the final battle without breaking into a sweat. That's more deadly than Mystique could ever manage.uknowho said:I didn't say she was the most powerful mutant, that spot is reserved for Phoenix. I did say Mystique was the most deadly.![]()
No, she says everyone here is a class 3 or below...except for you 2.Barry Allen said:If I'm not mistaken, in the church, Callisto calls both Pyro and Magento "Class 3" mutants.

uknowho said:The "cure" only works temporarily. All the "cured" mutants will regain their powers with time. Perhaps the more powerful mutants will regain theirs faster than the weaker mutants.
Sir Revolver said:I was wondering if anyone else thought that the effectiveness of the "cure" is based on a mutant's level?
Magneto was said to be at level 3 and maybe because of that, he was still able to barely move a metal chess piece?
Which makes me believe that Rouge will somehow get her mutant power back (that is of course if she's a low-level mutant).
Does anyone else think so? Or I could be looking too much into things.

Kotagg said:I never really like this rating system crap in the first place - after all, how do you quantify something that is abstract in its very definition? "Ah yes, controlling ice makes you a Class 4 mutant.." Seriously, how does that even fly? The level of power you have is directly based off of your creativity and the ability to use said power in a sitaution, not all of which are combat-based.
For instance, I'd say that Iceman could be infinitely more powerful than Pyro, but the inability with which he conducts himself shows him not be so. And along that note, Magneto has the most versatile power of anyone but Jean, as the magnetic spectrum is tied into nearly every known energy spectrum - meaning he can control electricity, kinetics, tectonics, and a bunch of other things. All he does is do **** to metal though.
That said, this whole discussion is silly.
Well, people used to believe the atom was the smallest particle until they cut it open. Plus, Magneto did move a metallic chess piece with his power at the very end of the movie, so that kills the "permanent curing" theory.Theven said:I never read the comic books, so forgive me if I'm wrong. But as far as the movie goes, Beast explicitly says that the cure will "supress the mutant gene...permanently."
Yeah, that too.GanjaFred said:Beast said it was permanent before the damn "cure" was even tested
