TIH Sequel changes?

There is a difference between comics and cartoons vs. live action. I thought Hulk was way too big and too unrealistic on the big screen. I didn't have a problem with most of the feats but the suspect CGI and the overblown set pieces took some credibility out of it. Good effort in terms of putting all his chips in the middle of the table and going all in on Ang's part, but ultimately he was caught on the river in the end.

Yeah, nobody saw Abomination making those scars in a close-up. And the only helicopter that exploded at the campus that could have injuried Hulk was the one he blew up himself (killing the pilot in the process) so Hulk harmed himself this time (zomg, should he commit suicide since he feels like killing everyone that harms him?).

Exactly, we KNOW those cuts are from Abom's elbow CJ, so I am afraid you are the one who needs to get the pipe out :cwink:.

The only cuts from the campus scene were, as El Payaso pointed out, from the helicopter exploding on him, thats the only time in the campus scene he had visible cuts on him.

Must try harder CJ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marvel really took Hulk's abilities down a notch from Ang Lee's. I mean even the army was taking him on with basic assault rifles and rockets and Hulk still struggled a bit. Ang Lee's Hulk was basically dodging napalm while taking on mechanized infantry. I think it was important to scale it down. The first Hulk was just WAY TOO strong.

I didnt think he was too strong in Ang's movie at all, and audiences evidently didnt go for the toned down Hulk in TIH either, its number werent much better than Ang's movie, and Ang's movie leaked onto the internet before release, TIH didnt.

I'm just wondering what changes people would make if we get a TIH sequel? What would you add? What would you take away?
I would hire A REAL DIRECTOR -- not some 2nd rate french action expert or whatever the heck that guy was. Go make some fries. Also, get rid of lifeless Tyler..

..and get some military consultant, for asterisk sake !

I don't think that "numbers" say anything about a toned down hulk.

Yeah abomy stabbed hulk in the chest with his elbow. But like in the cave scene hulk had plenty of cuts from his college campus battle.

Must read post better Jamon. That is what I said. You really should put down the bong :oldrazz:

they were from the shrapnel from the helicopter that exploded on him. Shrapnel just like Ang’s Hulk.

Someone else said a toned down Hulk was the best way to go, I was just pointing out it didnt help the movies WOM by having a toned down Hulk, as evidenced by the BO.

I know that dc I was talking about the campus scene.

He didnt have cuts in the campus scene until after the Helicopter crashed into him, so the bullett's etc did nothing to him.

The shrapnel in Ang's movie was from a bomb though, a targeted bomb which would do much more damage.

You also said the cuts on the picture from the end fight were from the helicopter crash, when we clearly see they are from Abom's elbow.

:woot:

Jamon. Did I say anythiong about bullets? Don't be putting words in my mouth.

How can I put words in your mouth through a computer :cwink:.

The original debate was that bulletts, etc didnt cut him, then you came in and said he had cuts from those battle's, maybe I misread it.

Are you reading my posts? That is what I was talking about. The sharpnel obvious came after the explosing. Both Ang's and Frenchies Hulk were cut by shrapnel. And for the last time I know Abomy stabed the Hulk in the chest. I never said he didn't

You Uk people have your ways. :yay::oldrazz::woot:

I know sometimes I'm unclear. I thought I was being clear. *extends hand*

Wrong again. Everyone knows and you pointed out to me before, that he had scars still and didn't heal as fast as Ang's Hulk. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. :oldrazz:

Ok I should have said "that he had scars after the campus scene." My bad.

Ha ha, fair enough, maybe a bit of misreading on my part then, bulletts seemed to aggravate TIH Hulk more though, as he actually used cover against them, Ang's Hulk just used his arms to cover his face mainly.

Whoever said that was smokin some crack. Hulk's abilities in Ang's movie was right on par with the comics.

Maybe that person was talking about not have so much heavy psycho drama? I believe that is what Avi Arad was referring to with "diet Hulk".

Never being an avid fan of the hulk, all I know about the green dude is what is in the movies...including the Hulk vs. movies

I never really felt a "hate" of hulk vs banner, a little more so in hulk vs. but not really the amount you guys are drumming it up. I want to see more control over this, and I want to see "the hulk" not necessarily be a good guy, like everytime he turns big and green it seems its for the "right reasons" either protection of himself, or someone he loves...I really don't see what is so "bad" about the hulk, like honestly, aside from stuff getting destroyed in the process of him saving someone or someone trying to kill him (which happens to batman too.)

I don't see whats so bad about being the big green guy? Of course most of the regular comic book readers of the series probably know why...but as a viewer of the movies with NEVER reading a single hulk comic book, I know nothing about this 'internal' struggle.

Thank you for your comments. This strengthens our point of getting this part of the Hulk mythology onto the big screen. It makes Banner that much more compelling

A poster on here said the toned down Hulk in TIH was the better way to go as it was more believable, personally, I loved his power level in Angs movie much more.

Agreed, Ang's movie touched on the duality aspect but no wear near enough, and TIH barely even bothered with it, its something both movies have failed to touch upon but its one of the key aspects of the character, so any Hulk movies in the future need to delve into this.
