finally finished this sunday night. we watched the first 4 saturday, finished the rest sunday.

glad to see Wednesday is still waging war against the pilgrims

I finished watching it today. I loved it overall. Jenna Ortega is perfection as Wednesday. She's right up there with Christina Ricci. Flawless performance.

I think all the Addams Family members were done rather well and I hope to see more of them if there is a season 2 and see more development of them. Thing was a scene stealer. Who knew a hand could have so much personality.

The main story was intriguing and kept me hooked, thanks in no small part to Jenna's magnetic Wednesday being the center of it. I liked the supporting cast. Enid and Bianca were stand outs for me. I hope they return.

love how they did the same techniques to bring Thing to life in the show and like the movie Thing was played by a magician.

I binged it earlier in the week and it was fun and worth a second season. I didn't like her love interest either being Tyler and I think Enid would be a much better one if they keep insisting on her having a romantic subplot.

It's Wednesday Addams though. She should be independent and indifferent to love or romance.

Seeing how almost comically large the soles of her shoes were in this made me realize just how tiny Ortega is.

If they continue to insist on it, which i dont really have a problem with...then i need at least more interesting characters as option.
I like Enid as her friend more than as possible love interest(Mainly as usual thanks to annoying shippers and their weird behaviour 2 episodes into any show), but yeah...if they want to have that in the story then either use Enid who is a interesting character...or create a better character than what they had so far.
Like Tyler and Xavier both were so utterly boring, give some character that really challenges Wednesday and keeps everyone on their toes.

...it was fun. The monster was a bit meh, and I would have enjoyed more scenes of Wednesday in class/living the school life instead of everything dealing strictly with the "case".

I'm surprised both this and shows like The White Lotus got acting nominations. They're deserved, but they literally just dropped recently. I'm sure the folks who do the nominating have seen the shows well before we have, but I figured you usually nominated stuff that had been out for awhile or had time to marinate.

Ortega's nomination is well deserved but how in the hell did this get a Best Comedy Series nomination over Barry or Atlanta?
