I love that Anne Hathaway is in this movie. She is really one of those young actress' that truly shows depth with all her various roles she chooses. She plays every character so well and I really enjoyed her in Rachel Getting Married. She definitely deserves all the recognition she has gotten lately!

The world definitely needs more young female celebrities like Hathaway.

i may take **** for this but I wasn't impressed by the teaser and think that it looks about as good as charlie and the chocolate factory. i understand that this is one of burton's dream projects so i'm sure a lot of love went into it...but overall...teaser alone...looks ok.

Yeah this movie looks just like any other Tim Burton film, that he has made. Come on Burton don't show us the same old stuff again.

Looked cool as hell in 3D. The cat is even more creepy when he's literally inches from your face.

^^^ Yeah I was thinking that the other day too. They could've at least lightened them up a bit.

I like her dark eyebrows, eyes, and lips contrasted with her light skin, hair, and clothing.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised but my gut is telling me this won't be that great. I think the makeup is wrong on Depp. I think Burton went too dark in some scenes (aesthetically). I also think miscasting took place for Alice. Hope I'm wrong :(
And how did you come to that conclusion?
From what I've heard, shes a good actress.

She's young and blonde. Seems fine to me. Especially for a Burton movie.

I was expecting a project that is a little more unique for Burton, that could show his versitility as a director.
Then go watch Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Planet of the Apes, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, etc.

Why wouldn't he be using his fantastical film elements in a fairytale that is pure fantasy?

Oh really? Ed Wood was directed by him? I loved that film, but I never realized that he directed it.

I agree. I think if they would have dyed her eyebrows, they her dark eyelashes would completely stand out against all the blond hair. This kind of brings her face together with the white/blond hair. I love it!

James Cameron actually criticised Burton for using 3D conversion rather than filming the whole film in 3D.
he did.

i am not saying that the movie should be 3D. but if you are doing 3D then do it right. they could do a 2D movie. but of course Disney wanted 3D.

The Alice in Wonderland/Looking Glass stories are so weird and ridiculous, that I feel there's not a lot of room for Burton to do wrong here... :p The stories are not made at all to be made into good movies, so, I'm expecting very little from this...Mild entertainment.

Will this be 2D at ALL in theaters? I hate to say it, but if not I'm just waiting for the DVD. I refuse to pay more money to see a movie in a format I don't even want.
