oh god, everyone complains. and 'lugging it along'? don't get what you're aim at. She's still fairly young so..

Somebody please give Tim Burton a kick in the butt and send him back into his gothic landscapes of Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow because this film just doesn't do it.

I liked Mad Hatter, Chesire Cat, and the Red Queen but that was about it. Mad hatter looked terrific, only could have been better if Depp's head was big like the Red Queen, that would have been cool. The rest of the movie was colorful but boring, it was not nearly as good as Lewis Carroll's creation. The script was just awful and Wonderland was basically just a big colorful jungle, it wasn't as imaginative or as cool as it should have been. Burton was just phoning it in, he can do so much better.

Walt Disney's Alice, 50 years later, is still the best adaptation. Not because it is such an amazing movie(but it is good) but because all of the others are just so bad. I think Burton would have done better if he made a darker story, with more gothic characters like McGee's Alice. Instead this one was boring and daff. But hey, it was better than that really sad thing that scify channel made which was boring and awful. People should stop combining the two books together.

Had the opportunity to see this at a friends place, I was pretty disappointed with it. This is the only time where I can admit that it feels like Burton just needed a paycheck and just did this on auto pilot. The digital facial effects were very distracting and non consistent to scale, it bugged the hell out of me.

5/10

Burton directing Alice in wonderland just seemed so cliche and brought me saying

"of coourse...of coooooooooooouurrse" :awesome:

same with charlie and the choclate factory and sweeny Todd they were both big stories burton fans always dreamed burton would direct since they all appeared close to his style...but now burton just seems so cliche by adapting the same weird and dark stories that other people created first... especially with his involvement with the Addams family..which brought me saying

"of coourse...of coooooooooooouurrse" :o

this was Burton's highest grosser. I really really only hope he does not use that as justification to churn out more bunk like this.

Addams family is the cliche choice...but its bound to be better than this. Especially if it s a stop motion movie, Burton's style is unique in that he should always stay away from two things. 1) A comb and 2) abundance of CGI.

I am a Burton fan, but Alice in Wonderland was such a cliche for a Burton movie that I didn't even bother to go to the cinema and watch it. I just limited myself to be dissapointed at home for free.

I was dissapointed by the uneven visual effects. Crispin Glover and his horse, along with the Dum twins, were horribly animated.

Do not feel bad, i cannot believe this movie made over a billion!

The CG was alright, not Avatar lol.

You know what was my favorite though? The scenes with Alice as a little girl. The entire movie should have been loke that.

I'll be glad if that means Burton will take the liberty of making something more personal and not some predictable blockbuster.

imo, the cheshire cat had the only real quality cgi.

still really enjoyed the movie.
