Superman Returns Time Warner says SR "performed strongly"...

Watch the donner cut of 2 and i bet you change your opinion! That film makes it impossible for superman returns to happen.

^No i wont change my opinion because i dont like Donners take on Superman in the slightest.

ROTFLMAO ( over the title of the thread )

ROTFLMAO ( over Avi's comment about not liking Donner's take on Superman )

Doesn't Donner's cut have Supes turning back time yet again? That makes me not want to see it.

Then why do you like SR? Your hero seemed to take alot from it, too much IMHO.

Actually, SR is a remake of STM with bad acting.

Well ,in your opinion .

I thought that it was pretty well acted , and that even if there was similar plot element it was a completely different movie than Stm (and one that i prefer personnaly) Visually , tonally , and thematically ( it expand on some of Donner and goes in other direction too )

The acting in STM was pretty good, though Chris is the only one who blew me away. I liked a lot of the supporting characters better in SR, like Perry, Olsen, and Luthor. I'm still waiting for an accurate depiction of Lois.

Then you haven't seen STM or you don't have the slightest idea what good acting is, cause Bosworth and Routh were definately not that well.

Avi hates BB and SR, so no surprise there.

WRONG!

It makes it impossible for SR to be direct sequel, just that.

The Lois from STM WAS the Lois from the 70's comics.

oh, how could I forget Alan Horn's expection for a clear $500 million world wide box office? Oh, WB was only 110 million off their expectations... not so bad for such a "strong performer".. 20-30 million i can understand... to be off by over 100 million in terms of expectations does NOT reflect a strong performer... try to understand this

Especially when the movie wont turn a profit until maybe even the sequel is about to come out!

Naw yea that's strong performance alright!

Yes, because your opinion on acting is the one and only factual opinion. Please.

That's called....your opinion. Everyone is allowed to have opinions....yours is that their acting is bad....his is that their acting was good. It is subjective to the individual person.

I like this one better: "Opinions are like \s/-holes, everybody has one". It's greek.

And yet..."mine didn't insult anyone or become crass and rude". It's C. Lee.

My friend just got the numbers of the DVD sales of the SR DVD in Brazil (it was officially released yesterday there). 450,000 copies pre-sales only, plus 76,000 copies sold on the very first day.

How much cash is that? And how is 500,000 DVD sales compared to the first week SR did in Brazil?

I have no idea, have to ask my friend.

But he said to me that, to this moment, the biggest selling DVD in Brazil was THE LION KING, with one million copies sold in the first month.

Who's my hero? Singer, no i just think he is a great director. And yes he took a lot of stuff from STM, but he updated it and improved on it IMO. Sorry i dont agree with YOUR opinion :whatever:

God some people on here amaze me with their arrogance.

Updated, well, d'oh, it's to be expected.

Improved... how? SFX-wise? Acting-wise? Plot-wise?
