I think Respawn would rather have their IP be more valuable by being on all systems and actually wants as many people as possible to play their game. I don't think that it was blown out of proportion at all, I think Zampella was genuinely annoyed by how EA made the deal behind their back, essentially undid the work they were planning for the PlayStation versions, and restricted the amount of people who would be playing their game. Respawn was formed due to Zampella's bad experience with Activision and the company prides on its independence. EA kinda took a **** on that with the deal.
I can definitely see the DLC releasing first on Xbox with future Titanfall titles.
There was no evidence a playstation version was even in the works, it's not like EA forced them to pull the plug on that version at the 11th hour. There was never going to be a PS version, at least not right away. Vince constantly stated how his new studio was small and it was always their intention to make the Xbox One version of the game and then turn their efforts on a PS version. I agree in that i think he was upset, because he was kept out of the loop(i mean he didnt get any input on what was going on with HIS IP), but this whole notion that he was extremely angry at the EA/MS deal just seems like something the anti Xbox One crowd would come up with as more ammo for their mud slinging.
