I want to like this game so much, but all of the gameplay footage has done nothing for me so far. I'm so over the run-around-like-a-chicken-with-your-head-cut-off-and-shoot-people, Call of Duty style of multiplayer. I actually like everything about the game except the part where it's Call of Duty with wall-running. :/

I probably would of felt the same, but I stopped playing CoD years ago and haven't played anything similar since. Iv stuck to BF which is wildly different from CoD. It'll be nice to jump into something a little quicker and more chaotic.

I don't think responding to a tweet saying you're 'extremely annoyed' would quite cover it if your publisher made the 1st game of your huge new franchise at a new startup company permanently exclusive "behind your back". If you really definitely didn't want that and are in business maybe you have a legal guy who checks your contracts for a gaping hole like that. It'd be like if Disney accidentally lost the rights to Avengers to Fox without Marvel's knowledge. It's either an exaggerated response designed to play nice with a non Xbox gamer who is a fan of his, or.. just ridiculous. It can't happen unless you have some 14 year old guy on the Hype as Zampella's legal guy or he has no idea how things work in his own industry.

It's Online only, but it does have a campaign in addition to regular multiplayer modes. By all accounts the small player count isn't noticeable thanks to the speed people move, the mech combat, and the bots.

Eh, player size doesnt mean s**t. I got hung up on that when it was first announced then remembered my fav MP game of all time was the Gears series and that was 5 on 5 at most. Plus like StrainedEyes said, with so much going on, you don't really notice it. Theres always something to shoot at, be it a bot, another pilot or a giant mech.

From what i heard the game ships with 12 maps. So thats not too bad.

Take this with a giant grain of salt, but industry "insider" Thuway claims Sony is making a hard push to get Titanfall.

Here is what Thuwy said:

"Rumor around the block is Sony is trying hard to get TitanFall on to the
PlayStation platforms. Microsoft is trying to secure it completely."

"Some are suggesting Microsoft is trying to win an advertising and DLC partnership from the franchise here on out. Similar to COD."

Thuway further suggested that whatever is the outcome of this Titanfall war between Sony and Microsoft, Respawn's Vince Zampella will benefit the most.

"Whenever and whatever happens will be huge. One thing is for sure- Zampella is about to buy one of those printers that prints money."

The first Titanfall game is exclusive to Microsoft for the "life of the title." That is the deal they made. Whether this "life" also includes any kind of re-release (like a GOTY version) is yet to be announced, obviously.

Any sequels are still up for grabs and can go either way.

This game is so freaking awesome. None of the COD games ever felt quite right after the OG Infinity award team left (Treyarch did their best and have done well enough in my book). Now with Titanfall everything I loved about the old COD series is back. OP shotguns are their speciality and boy do I love it. The movement in their games always feels right. That's the best way to describe it.

Yea there's no telling. I'd assume the life of the title means it's development and any post release support/DLC. Once that stuff ends, I'd assume the "life of the title" ends.

It just feels right while you play it. Feels really balanced already, all the weapons work great, the movement is awesome though it takes a little time to get use to it. It's hectic as hell, so much going on its ridiculous. I think the best thing you can say though is that the Titans are not overpowered at all and you're never wanting to just get to the titan. It's just as much fun if not more when you are not in the titan. It'd ridiculously fun plain and simple

Great, cant wait. Getting the game at launch but haven't got time for betas at the moment.
