I take it Dove has been female for awhile and it's just me not really following DC that makes me think of Don Hall?

They killed off Don and introduced Dawn in the 80s. Then they killed off Hank and introduced Dawn's sister as the new Hawk. And then they went back to Hank and Dawn.

Awesome!

Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly Cast as Hawk and Dove - http://www.superherohype.com/news/4...nka-kelly-cast-as-hawk-and-dove-in-dcs-titans

Awesome :woot:

Really really excited to see what they do with the costumes for this show.

I'm going to be so annoyed if this show doesnt add Donna or Cassie.

But it will be interesting to see how they adapt the Hawk/Dove costumes.
I really would like to see Donna and garth .that being next to roy and wally. especailly if the other latter two Imention aren't possible right now.

and yeah I gree on hwk and doves costumes as well .

I wonder if they might be keeping the core cast so small at 4 people and having other guest characters like Hawk and Dove out of a cautious approach to the material. Or maybe they want to have those four established, than introduce others; have us recognize Starfire as a warrior before showing us a foil in Donna, or having Beast Boy and Raven develop a fun chemistry that gets interupted by Terra or Jason Todd.

hmm no this has more to do with the cartoon/ animated series and partially because they are worried that under this new director pen character like wally and Roy might be done better where writer on arrow didn't for a character's like Roy so much. with was the writer's team of that shows fault if they ever would happen. it wouldn't matter if there are two warriors on the show at once.

the rating will do well, if the story is well done . and as we' ve seen with the cross overs the audience will watch as long as it's done well or decently and to see those character interact with each other on screen .

this is more of a matter of them not reallyknow what they fully have and thing's getting inthe way cause they canconsive of it or they are worried as said about some of their poorer written show's writers being shown up.

regardless it should do fine if the show runner and his writing them do agood enough job.

Aside from adding Beast Boy, it's become clear that they did in fact 'recycle' the character lineup from the project as it was developed for TNT, which was never going to include characters like Donna, Cassie, Victor, Tara, or Garth.

They have sort of 'demoted' Hank and Dawn to recurring status, but they're still going to be present, which means we might be seeing a Barbara Gordon casting announcement coming soon in addition to the casting of Beast Boy.

minus brabra Gordan, she was part of the TNT show. Not sure if they are still gonna add her or not ether .

which ether meant starfire might have been signle and not with night wing in this series if the TNT show went through .

etherway . Hawk & dove weren't part of the show ether on TNT.

^ Hawk and Dove were talked about in the TNT lineup.

As a refresh, the TNT lineup was Dick, Barbara, Hank, Dawn, Kori, and Raven as Series Regulars.

With the project's revival, Gar's been added as a Series Regular, and Dawn and c Hank 'demoted'.

Unless Barbara's been removed completely, we're likely going to hear news about her casting, along with Beast Boy's casting, soon.

was Barbara going to be Batgirl or Oracle in the TNT show?

I don't really want Babs, but I suppose every team needs their Chloe, Felicity, Cisco type support character. And Babs as Oracle would fit that bill.

and I suppose they can play off of the past history between Babs and Dick and turn that into a romance triangle with Kori thrown into the mix.

cuz, y'know, there has to be romantic drama and attention.

^ Neither. She would've been wheelchair-bound and operating as the team's "resident computer hacker", but with no formal codename.

^ah, thanks!

if that's the route they take, they should just give her the Oracle codename.

If she's involved in the new version of the show still, she'll most likely be a Recurring Guest Star like Dawn and Hank, and even less likely to have a codename.

^ eh, we'll see.

if she serves as the homebase tech support role like Chloe, Cisco, Felicity, etc., then I can see her as a series regular and part of the main cast.

if she's even part of the show.

Still holding out hope for Blue Beetle, Static, Bumblebee and Terra! I've never been a fan of the sidekicks so I can do without the likes of Donna/Garth/Roy... Wally is probably the only one I'd tolerate. I actually like the fact that outside media adaptions of the Titans aren't really sidekick heavy like the comics! It keeps it interesting!

If it's anything like Young Justice or even that Judas Contract flick,
Nightwing would basically serve that role.

sorry for not answering. I was at work doing over time as digific said they were part of the line but up .they were announced later and Barbra, as mentioned above, was part of original cast member all before the current head of TNT become and cancelled the entire before it hit the air waves.

the way I want it though is the mentor program that the titan's started which was Arsenal / Roy's ,night wing and flash /wally 's idea which they did during 90's before Geoff john's version. where they were mentoring the kid's that would be heroes even before young justice formed and they had team member's like indigo and damage has others like super girl was also gonna be senior member being a mentor with Jessie quick who was the lawyer .

now I want to make this very clear the founder being around will be more akin to what was done in young justice the animated where the mentors weren't much of over all big presence they were there to teach and weren't the centre of the story at all. the student's or in thisw case hero canidates , were the show's major cast it's kinda what naruto did as well and a number of show's I can list.

I going with the mentor program the titans did which Arsenal / Roy, night and Flash/ wally started in the 90's with the hero drive where they taught young heroes like Damage and indigo and this was before Geoff John's version.

where both super girl and Jessie quick (the latter off which was a lawyer in her day job) were added as senior members and mentor's as well.

the point of this they would teach the titan how a teams work since they have had Experience working in them .,

but they won't be in the field with them cause they have their own thing going on. it'll be Nightwing that's still the leader unless something happen's to him or he has his own personal investigation happening, there' s no need for them to show up constantly un less they are subtituing. it wouldn't become a side kick show at all'.
the Whole point ofthe titan is to be come qa hero i8n your own right you graduated from that young justice3 is for side kicks the titan are for becoming a hero in you own right..

the best period of the Titans to me was when they started the mentor program to teach the other younger heroes , cause some one like Batman or super man were to busy with major case's and there was a growng number of young heroes taking to the streets.with out the best traing and cause more trouble for more seaswon heroes.

Nightwing would basically serve that role.
while they Night wing in the comic's and current animated movies to be more tech savvy be side making gadgets like weaponizing his batter ranger or wing dings

the point is oracle was a forensics expert too . not that he wasn't one but the writer on tv like having some like nightwing out in the field in stead of doing lab work sadly.

And that's where Barbra would come in handy. yes they can have him collect the clues in the field but the lab work next to mission control work is something they will likely to have someone else do. as they don't want him to be overly perfect.

we'll just say he's very capable .but he has other people working with him that are specists in certain fields of work and he has his own thing as well skill wise .

So, I am slightly confused. Are we getting Robin or Nightwing. Also...I know this is some sort of streaming thing they're attempting correct? So does that mean this IS or ISN'T connected to the other DC shows? I'm sure these have all been previously answered, so I apologise ahead of time.

I've heard a rumor that we are getting Robin as he transitions into Nightwing. This is probably not connected to any of the other DC shows, just like Krypton and Gotham are not.

interesting.

this confirms my suspicion ( and hope ) that Raven will serve as a catalyst and central focus for Season 1 - or at least the initial focus of the season. And that the main bad for the season could ultimately be Trigon.

however, I do wonder about Angela being Raven's "adoptive" mom, where in the comics she was Raven's real mom.

does this mean Raven is no longer half demon, half human?

I actually hope they don't change this, cuz I think it's important for Raven to have that human side to her heritage.

but if Angela is only her adoptive mom, then that begs the question - who is her real mom?

Is her real mom another human? Another demon? An angel?

It seems like that question will play a part in the series as well.

I would be ok with Raven's mom being an angel, because that keeps the "dual" half/half nature of her heritage, which I think is key.

but this has me slightly worried they are going to change her background too much. hopefully not.

maybe they are separating Arella and Angela into different characters, whereas in the past both have referred to Raven's mom.

So Arella is Raven's real mom, but she entrusts baby Raven to her friend Angela.

To be honest, don't really want Babs in this either. She's probably not going to be Batgirl, If it's Oracle It's just Felicity in a wheelchair again. The only exception to this is if they got an actual disabled person to play her.
