When Wonder Woman killed a man in the failed pilot, fans were outraged by this portrayal. The killing wasn't questioned and explored, it just happened. If ever such an event occurs, such as when Wonder Woman killed Maxwell Lord, the ethical and moral issues and dilemmas should be explored and be part of the story. Esp. in this day and age.

I haven't seen the pilot but wasn't the kill also pretty gruesome, when she put a pipe through someone's throat/neck. There was no point to such a thing except for just shock value or to be edgy.

Yes, Wonder Woman threw a pipe through a guard's neck. She also tortured someone for information even though she could've just used her Lasso of Truth. It only reinforced to fans that David E. Kelley had a lack of understanding of the core elements of the character.

In the comics, she came to America as an ambassador for her Amazon values so when she killed Lord she was alienated by people like Batman and even stopped being Wonder Woman for a while.

Oh yes the Lasso of Truth, I've never bought into that element caused I just thought it was too silly along with invisible jet. However, I would still love to see a live action WW movie because seeing her strong willed character clashing with American culture is very interesting to see.

But the lasso is part of the character. If you understand the entire story of WW and her origins then you see where it all fits in to her story. The way Green Lantern has Guardians and power rings etc. It's about understanding the character and story, not trying to change it to suit your needs. Because then it becomes another character.

I'll admit I don't fully know the history of WW but I've never wanted that gone cause I knew it was part of the the character that was created. I just didn't know the full details.

Well, there are a lot of fantasy elements to accept in the WW story. It's probably part of why it has difficulty being made. Then again, most superheroes have kind of ludicrous things to accept.

Well its mainly greek mythology with a little fantasy, it would look cheesy at first but with some slight tweaking it can be done without compromising the source.

yeah clash of the titans had all those greek mythology creatures and zeus sent weapons down to earth etc. so it could work for WW.

wait......what!!!??? :wow:

Are people comparing Cavill and Welling's faces and bodies? Face-wise I don't think they look alike. Body-wise (depending on which season of SV you're looking at), I think they're similar.

And she came off as a bully/*****e bag/*****/however one wants to describe her.

Even being attractive himself, Welling wishes he looked like Cavill.

That goes for everyone. Cavill is one beautiful son of a *****.

Hell, I'd settle for blurry face Cavill.

I dont know if itll be possible to do, but I would very much like a scene of Superman punching Zod through all those buildings only for Zod to respond by flying right back through them and slamming into Superman.

I'm sure we'll see some crazy ****. I just hope MOS will wipe the floor with The Avengers in the process.

And TDKR, and Amazing Spider-Man...

One thing's for sure: MOS will definitely have its work cut out for it, regardless of how each of the other super-flicks perform at the box office.

Are you saying that cause that picture is similar to Avengers scene with all the cars flipped over and on fire? MOS is not gonna have to compete with any of those juggernauts, only IM3 and Thor 2 is coming out the same year as this, spaced greatly apart too.

I didnt mean literally as in at the B.O. I meant scalewise and how well and interestingly the FX are put together. Avengers might be the bigger movie, but bigger is not necessarily better, but that's old news. Actually, less is more or more intimate action could easily be seen as bigger, if you catch my drift.
I'd personally rather have a cleverly set-up and well executed and well acted action-sequence than just a big wall of Bayhem-fire for half an hour. And I think we'll get the former with Snyder along with some Bayhem-fire as well. :oldrazz:.

I'm glad that Snyder's doing a lot of practical stunts, but this being a superhero movie, it goes without saying that vfx will play a major part in making the film better. I'm just hoping whichever VFX house they choose brings its A - game. And please don't make it Sony Pictures Imageworks (although word is, it's actually going to be).

Please no Sony, some of the effects in Green Lantern were really shoddy. Although they were rushed but still.

Love it. My only complaint is that they're covering Meloni's greatest asset. :cwink::oldrazz:

:wow: Exactly! Do what? What the hell was Kelley thinking!?!?

I don't like Sony but they are the ones most likely to do it.
