Nathan Fillion for Thanos.![]()
As for Death, I want her to be a figment of Thanos imagination. He's so crazy that only he can see and hear her.
I want a mid/post credit scene where Thanos has just destroyed Asgard. He's standing by himself around the bodies of fallen Asgardians, including Loki, and the camera is close up on his face. He looks down and we see the Infinity Gauntlet. Then it shifts over and we see Death standing on some rubble. Thanos looks over to her. We the hear a voiceover from the first Avengers, "To challenge them, is to court Death." Then Death begins to fade away and cut to black.

t:I wouldn't have him destroy Asgard, though it does sound intense. I would just have him burst his way in, get the Infinity Gauntlet, and while Sif, the Warriors Three, some guards and Loki, who is standing in the back corner "hidden" are looking at and surrounding him, he slides the gauntlet on, closes his eyes, glares up at Loki, showing he can see him when no one else can, grins, and disappears. (Holy run-on sentence) He would then appear on his little moon throne thing and *your interaction between him and Death*.
Wouldn't make any sense. Especially when stones aren't inside it. Though, I'd be willing to bet the stones contain the energies of the gems.
I never said that Thanos had all of the gems did I? You guys might want to go back and read my post. He destroys Asgard with only three or four oft he gems, maximum.
Why would he take the gauntlet in the vault at all, if it's not the real one? The only reason he would invade Asgard is to recover the Tesseract. Getting a powerless glove seems superfluous.... I would just have him burst his way in, get the Infinity Gauntlet...
But you said...

That's someone else's quote.
Also, what do you mean it's not the real one? Are you privy to information that we aren't? The Infinity Gauntlet is on Asgard, that's a fact.
Here's the thing, though. It's been established in The Dark World that the Infinity Gems are not in the gauntlet, given that the Tesseract and the Aether are separate from it. Additionally, Sif said something about being dangerous to keep two gems together, and since the Tesseract is already on Asgard, it's safe to assume the gauntlet we saw in Odin's vault doesn't have any real Infinity Gem.
So, the Infinity Gauntlet from the first Thor movie is probably only just a replica or, most likely, a background easter egg that won't hold any value in the future. It wouldn't make sense for Thanos to barge in and take something that isn't the real deal.

Oh, sorry, mixed up the quotes a little.
Yes, the Infinity Gauntlet we saw in Thor can't be the real thing. It conflicts with two established facts of the movies:
One, that the Infinity Gems are scathered throughout the universe (as seen with the Tesseract and the Aether), and can't be the gems on the gauntlet.
Two, the Asgardians worry about keeping two Infinity Gems in the same location. That's why they gave the Aether to the Collector, because the Tesseract was already on Asgard.
I don't believe they're going to give real weight to a small cameo, especially since it contradicts more recent information. It's going to be the same as Captain America's shield in Iron Man.
Someone thought up a good idea a while back that Loki planned to take over Asgard as king in order to repay Thanos for his failure in The Avengers. The Other warned Loki about what would happen to him should he fail; perhaps Loki plans on giving Thanos the Infinity Gauntlet, assuming it is the real thing, as well as the Infinity Gems.
The thing about Captain America's shield was that it wasn't really his shield.
Regarding the Infinity Gauntlet, I have a feeling that the gems are already in the gauntlet. The power was probably stripped from the gems and put into all of the different artifacts.
I've been saying this all along concerning the IG we see in Thor. Exactly what you said. The gems/stones on the Gauntlet itself in Thor are placeholders. They aren't activated with the power they need yet. The power for each is in the artifacts we've seen. Once those are all collected the powers can be transferred from the artifacts into the vacant stones/gems that are on the gauntlet. Activating it.
I wander if we'll see that happen in the near future? Thanos attacking Asgard would be pretty cool.Thanos is coming for Loki. "There will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he cannot find you."
Thanos attacking Asgard would be pretty cool.
Maybe, though Loki as Odin sending The Aether to The Collector may be a way of trying to repay Thanos.Thor 3, leading into Avengers 3?
I doubt it...and they shouldn't do it anyway. Put Surtur in Thor 3, save Thanos for the Avengers & GOTG films. He's not a Thor villain anyway.
Yes the gems (called Infinity Stones*) can be scattered through the Universe, but does that mean the IG with the gems isn't real? We know the MCU is not a play by play of the comics, so having the stones react with the inactive gems to make them active makes sense. We know Aether = power (Gem) and the Tessract is the space (Gem) so bring the stones in contact with the IG could start up the gems to be active. Why does two matter? Wouldn't keeping them apart makes sense. I would imagine Odin had this power or close to it and scattered the stones because to much power for one individual.Oh, sorry, mixed up the quotes a little.
