Wanting to see a proper resolution to that fight (and done masterfully) is a reason why I actually wanted the S6 and TASM3 movies.

If you wanted it done 'masterfully' then ASM 3 was the last place to look for it. Because it would've been done poorly like every friggin thing else in that accursed franchise.

I'll stand here and hope Marvel make action as great a spectacle as they did it in The Winter Soldier.

I hope they make Tom Holland the next Chris Pratt/RDJ an actor that everyone loves.

I am very excited that Tom was cast! He was one of my two top choices alongside Rowe!

I really hope that this new series does not fail as bad as the ASM series

I really despised the action in the ASM series. Hell, in the sequel, Peter maybe landed below ten real hits to his enemies in total (the Rhino arc was pointless; all we saw him do there was web him up. He avoided Electro almost entirely. And the Goblin fight was literally 2 minutes long, with the first half consisting of Peter running away from Harry and the Goblin pinning him in the second half)

So far the action in the MCU movies has been really good

Really good and really unique. They really utilize their weapons and their surroundings. I love that!

So, is it possible Tom will voice the animated Spider-Man as well?

The elevator scene in TWS eclipsed every action scene in ASM2. Only the HS fight from ASM is a standout and maybe Spidey vs the Swat team also but otherwise, the fight based action scenes were not very impressive.

I wanna see Spider-Man just taking on some regular thugs for a change...quipping his way to victory and making good use of his agility, acrobatics and webbing of course. The scene with Spidey vs the Armored car robbers in SM1 still stands as the best and one of the only times we've seen this type of action scene.

I agree. Hand to hand combat with webs and acrobatics thrown in is something we need more of. I'd say Daredevil is the better comparison in that regard. I'd like to see some stealth too though.

I used TWS as an example because Aziz had brought it up. The hand to hand stuff in DD's Netflix series was awesome, very awesome. But...DD is much more brutal in his fighting style and taking down opponents than Spidey. DD is more like Batman when it comes to straight up beat downs. Spidey is more about subduing his opponent, usually by webbing them to a light pole or a wall...he uses his wits and agility more so than a straight ahead fighter like DD. Definitely would love to see more of the acrobatic Spidey weaving his way through a crowd of thugs, quipping and webbing with style. The Spidey vs SWAT team from ASM was actually pretty good in that regard but the SM1 armored car scene was much better imo.

I don't think so. They're not supposed to be the same continuity, so having him voice it would just be confusing.
Oh good. I'm hoping for Josh Keaton in the case that it's an animated film to close off the loose ends of the Spectacular Spider-Man series. Which would be a dream come true.

Or Dylan O'Brien. Maybe even Donald Glover in the case that it's an Ultimate(Miles) Spider-Man film.

Yeah, all three would be great. Give it to the fan favorite so we can have closure :waa: :oldrazz:

A different way of repeating what NotSoLongAgo said:
Only if the rest of the film cast voice their animated counterparts.

Agreed

I really liked the fighting in the Raimi trilogy, especially in the first film. It was simple(r) and was based more around raw power than in the ASM films. I know Spiderman is supposed to be more acrobatic and nimble, but God forbid they use the same fighting style for MCU Spidey as the ASM series.

I'd like to see both styles of fighting incorporated from the Raimi trilogy and TASM series into the new trilogy. More fun, sleak and energetic from TASM when its called for it along with the aggressive, rawness from the Raimi trilogy when things get serious.

This.

What do you guys think of this:

Very first scene of the first Spider-Man solo movie in 2017 is Spidey fighting the Rhino in downtown NYC right before school starts... Picks up right where TASM 2 left off! ;) Different actor, different Rhino suit in general. It's just a consolation prize for those who felt cheated of the Rhino fight in TASM 2.

I'd rather him start by fighting non-superpowered crime. Either just muggers or gangsters such as Tombstone or the Enforcers.

Why do I feel like a punch was rarely thrown in tasm? I can't remember one friggin punch
