Spider-Man KO'd Doc Ock with a single punch in the Amazing Spider-Man #3. The hard part was getting past his tentacles to actually land a punch. Of course he was able to take more punishment in later issues, but still Raimi's Ock was too resilient. Then again Spidey himself was made out of rubber in those movies.

Ummm what?

Any person can knock someone out with a well landed punch. Which would make thugs that can take more than one from spidey OP.

The villains are a strong as the plot see's it convenient in order for the story to move forwars. If it was a 30 minute movie then yeah Ock would be out in one punch. But considering it wasn't and was like 2 hours long. Ock was more durable so they could have more encounters that span the enough for the entirety of the film.

Although I don't like Tom, when someone mention his mole, I always told them he removed the mole and how good his acting skill ... But they still think Tom's an ugly boy. The problem is not the mole, man. It's his face.

for at least civil war/solo one i say tom's spidey should be a more wild fighter, ie not to experienced and doesnt known alot of different fighting styles and ways to fight. Then over time develop better fighting skills and fighting techniques.

Yes.The mole is a deal breaker. Look at Christian Bale as Batman. He had a mole on the side of his nose, and that is the reason he decided to go with the batvoice that he had. The mole is the reason for that rubber costume.

I think Spidey's style should reflect the Spider-Sense myself. How he at this point always knows when danger is near therefore he should be for the most part untouchable.

That's cute.

@Neno_Kos, lol.

I wonder if Toms not saying anything because eh's busy prepping for the role.

I can't believe that needed explaining.

Oh, I thought you guys were referring to the actual Hypster here on the SHH.

Well then, that's settled. It'd be hilarious and awesome if to promote the film whoever is casted as the villain is making villainous tweets towards Tom. For example if it's Mysterio

*Mysterio Actor Tweets*:"I'm gonna squash you like a bug"

Tom Tweets: "Not if I web you behind bars first fishbowl"

Why do I feel like a punch was rarely thrown in tasm? I can't remember one friggin punch

because Webb made spider-man fight poorly in both films. He just made him dodge around and shoot webs at his opponents. ASM2 had a couple of wrecking ball attacks but one of them was poorly shot.

None of spider-man's punches in tasm series had any impact or oomf about them at all. made him feel like he didn't possess super strength. never will forgive Webb for making spider-man's power level so ******ed (can't punch through a windshield but can catch a cop car) and lame (can only make lizard stumble back two steps after a double-legged kick off the side of a building).

He punches lizard in tasm1 in the sewer and it did nothing. Don't think he throws any punches in tasm2.

MCU movies give all their heroes good fight scenes and impressive moments during fights, but tasm series offered nothing other than an agile spider-man who relied heavily on a limited supply of webbing in all his fights. Spidey should fight like the TSSM cartoon and the ultimate comic, where he was aggressive and defensive, and showed off his strength not simply by lifting heavy objects. F@@@ you, Marc Webb, I can't even watch your terrible spider-man films for the action sequences.

Someone should make a "Spider-Man's fighting style" thread.

I'm curious if Tom is in Atlanta yet, I think he might be because the room he is in on the instagram video looks hotel room like could be a room anywhere though.

Any other Brit here find it a little funny knowing who Tom's dad is? Oddly enough I didn't learn Dominic's name until someone pointed out he was Tom's dad. I'd seen him as the occasional talking head on shows like the Wright show or a panelist on Have I Got News for You etc, but wasn't really aware if him or seen his stand up. Apparently he writes a bit too and even supplied material to Bob Monkhouse.

I watched "How I live now" yesterday, with Tom Holland as a supporting character. Thought I was going to see a classical coming-of-age story, but hell was I wrong...

That film had more of a "Schindler's list" flair than anything else. It was very moving, sad and kinda brutal.
