Eh, maybe I'm just over reacting, Out of all the MCU films coming in the future. I hope for this one to be successful the most.

You are kind of right though. Obviously interest in spider-man movies was waning. As spider-man fans we can only hope that changes and we get the winter soldier of spider-man films and not an iron man 3

Andrew wasn't let go because of missing a meeting. Sites blew that incredibly out of proportion. I'm certain he would have been Spider-Man if ASM3 moved forward.
Indeed.
I saw that story .
I thought it was ridiculous .

I for one am finally getting excited and am pumped to see how Tom does. But I can't blame the GA If they're tired/skeptical of seeing Peter and spider-man again

I'm just feeling 'meh' at this stage. Maybe the suit and other details will excite me.

Hate to say it, but I feel the same way. That's not to say I'm not looking forward to it, but I haven't been genuinely excited since the first announcement. Not sure why, but I suspect it's either due to getting yet another reboot so soon (I still remember how the internet exploded over the one from 5 years ago like it was yesterday) or due to it feeling it like too much of a last minute decision as opposed to Marvel's usual approach of gradual building and teasing along the way. Either way, I'm optimistic and hope they win me over.

I'm gonna be honest, I bet Marvel is going to bag a huge actor for a major role(maybe Harry, Norman, or the main villain) and use them to make people excited for the film. Because lets be honest. Tom isn't doing it. Barely anyone is excited for this.

I see more peopleangry about another reboot and the fact that he's a kid.

In fairness though, Tom is young and relatively unknown as an actor. I also think any guy playing Peter would have the same reaction people have Spider-man reboot burn out. After CW there will probably be much more excitement.

TBH, when I heard about the reboot I was like "not again" but then I got excited about Marvel being involved.

I'm sorry, but I find this notion quite silly. It's Spider-Man. People from all ages LOVE Spider-Man, regardless of race, gender or creed. Tom Holland not having a big name isn't working against the film, in fact is working for the film. He'll literally become the character when it's all said and done. Also, Sony and Marvel don't need to hire a huge actor for Spider-Man supporting roles, since they are probably getting Robert Downey Jr. and maybe some few others to show up on his film.

It's Spider-Man, mate. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If done well, people will be all over the film. Relax. :cwink:

Am I the only one who would rather Chris Evans in the spidey film instead of RDJ? :(

I do worry about this movie. Those who didn't like ASM1&2 are burnt out on Spider-Man. Those who liked ASM1&2 probably miss Garfield in the role.

According with Sony Leaks, Marvel and Sony are aware that this film is about reestablishing good will towards the franchise, their projections for Spider-Man (2017) is $750m WW, and that's completely feasible. They don't need to worry about pleasing people that liked or didn't liked ASM1&2 / Miss Sam Raimi. They need to make the best Spider-Man film ever, and c'mon, it's Marvel. Of course they'll pulled off.

Like Carnage aptly said it, the five previous films were just warm ups. Spider-Man is coming, mates. Rejoice. :woot:

hopefully civil war will remind everyone that spider-man is awesome.

Ideally, they should have waited a few more years. I think people will be excited either way, but I think you could have built up more excitement if you released it post-IW.

They don't need to. All that Spider-Man is missing is one film to truly knock it out of the park. If Spider-Man is good, it's completely feasible that Marvel and Sony will hit their $750m WW projections, and this time with the public and the critics on their side.

We've waited long enough for Spider-Man to finally become canon in the MCU. I'm not getting any younger mate, I want a bazillion number of Spider-Man films in my lifetime, and I feel that 2017 after Civil War giving us a little tease on the new Spider-Man will be more than enough time for people to be eager for a new Spider-Man film.

The mole is just a small problem. His mouth and chin are ... worst in the MCU.

I think he is 5'8'' now..
here is the evidence

this is him and his father (5'6'') on 2014
