Yeah Routh just doesnt have the look, and the suit isn't helping at all... Either way That one manip of welling alone blows away every single picture we have seen to date of Routh in his suit.
Sad Singer messed up the casting the way he did...

This took so long to complete. I literally had to create everything Superman in this image. I started work on it when it was first released (which should tell you how long I've been at it).

Zing... you should get PAID for these. Man! That's just AWESOME!!!! Gosh!


And the best part? That IS what Welling look like in the costume.

I don't know about his acting, but I've gotta admit that Welling in some of these manips looks much more like Superman than Routh does. Welling's body type is closer because it's heavier, where Routh is thinner and longer. However, while some of the manips look great, some of them look awful. I get a little depressed looking at them because the suits are, for the most part, better than the Routh suit...

My one concern about Welling was really his ability to act. But considering that nobody knows if Routh can act, there's really no way of gauging the two against each other, except on the physical level, where Welling seems to be in the lead. The only thing that keeps me from saying Welling is in the lead outright is that the man seems like he's two-faced: sometimes he looks good and sometimes he doesn't.

It's hard to really tell how good or bad he would look in the suit... Remember on the show he is made to look alot younger with make up, and the way the scenes are shot.
Those manips come from screen caps of episodes, and a few photos where he's in character, and is made to look younger.. So yea some look weird but there are some which shows how good he fits the role, and based on body size alone Welling wins hands down.. I seen interviews on the wb's page where he is not in character, and the guy just screams SUPERMAN...
He has the look more then Routh that's for sure...I think the only person who would give him a run for his money in the Superman look department is Mike Ohearn... But Welling really does look the part it's just not easy to make good manips with the source material they got...
But regardless that BATMAN / SUPERMAN manip was F'in awsome!
