He's a former member of the Justice League in the comics, although not apparently in this film.

His power is mental so he doesn't need to be a big guy.

Personally, I don't like him much. He wasn't all that in Bend it Like Beckham yet the two girls were both so hot for him...

I didn't buy him being sexy then, but as long as he's not supposed to be some drop dead gorgeous guy I guess he'd be okay.

He's a better than average actor.

To tell you the truth, I was never a big Superman fan. In fact, I'm a Marvel guy (I'm a Spider-Man fan first and foremost). I only got into Superman once Smallville aired and even then, I don't know much about the character and villains. I know more about Batman than Superman.

I saw Meyers in Match Point and he was okay. Nothing special about him, but he wasn't horrible.

I chatted with EMI, the one thing that she is trying to do is verify this list.

WB is playing games and sending out false info and the last thing that she or I are going to do is post a false cast list.

But anyway, Meyers doesn't do anything for me visually or as an actor, so I guess how he compares to the comics is irrelevant. Not being flip - just honest.

Back to the Superman casting - that IS the make or break right now - I'm DYING to know who *was* cast. Jayne said she wasn't disappointed, and we all know she wanted Welling, so the actor chosen must be pretty darn perfect. Good actor, attractive, big and buff.... This gives me some hope.
