Yeah this whole under contract to Smallville is BS I mean who cuts the checks who owns the rights to most everything on Smallville? WB does so why would Millar and Gough want to piss them (as in WB) off? I mean damn this could work out to their advantage. Millar and Gough could get more characters from DCU and press for the Supergirls Spinoff in return for losing Tom.

I mean c'mon, with the CD girl I can at least understand it since she's been on that board forever and all of the oldbies over there vouch for her, but this thing on IESB, the guy has 2 posts and just signed up yesterday.

As far as I know the CW is merely just the network the show is aired on. WB controls pretty much all aspects of the show's production although there may be some cost-sharing between them and Viacom (CBS).

I bet they could hire of fire who ever they want. They own the rights to all the characters so Smallville has to run everything by them first anyways.

I still feel like this is a AFC or NFC championship game and I am waiting to find out if my team (Tom for Superman) made it to the Superbowl (JLA). I can almost not hardly wait.

The story sounds good and I loved Tower Of Babel so those bits taken from it really got me interested. Biel is not my first choice but I would live with it if that meant that Tom was cast as Superman.

I'm sure they do. But the key term there is "duration." WB could come up with a million different reasons to not make another season of the show after this current one thus having it's "duration" be the end of this season.

I think you misunderstood him, I believe he meant he's hearing conflicting stories about why negotiations broke off, not about whether he's in or out or not....

And FYI the Bat vs Sup has been in the works for years but it was never viable but with the Technology and special effects of today this is now a certainty. Quote this and take it to the bank JL and MOS and DK will all lead to the What insiders call the the biggest superhero movie that could be made Superman vs Batman But with the failure of SR and the dismayed people had with Routh it was pushed back.They need a Blockbuster of a Superman Movie and they all feel that Tom will bring it to the screen thats why there was no hesitation with it being known Tom was there Number one choice and they never intended a 2nd choice...
