Ok so I am grasping at straws too but at this point anything that sounds like the glass is half full is good news to me.

Its fine to be hopeful and optimistic, but all I am saying is, consider the sources.

I know I am asking to be disappointed for the 4th time with Welling and a supes movie but I agree it is exciting. Here is more from the poster.

And FYI the Bat vs Sup has been in the works for years but it was never viable but with the Technology and special effects of today this is now a certainty. Quote this and take it to the bank JL and MOS and DK will all lead to the What insiders call the the biggest superhero movie that could be made Superman vs Batman But with the failure of SR and the dismayed people had with Routh it was pushed back.They need a Blockbuster of a Superman Movie and they all feel that Tom will bring it to the screen thats why there was no hesitation with it being known Tom was there Number one choice and they never intended a 2nd choice...

If this guy was really an insider he would know that Batman vs Superman was pushed back well before Returns even hit theaters.

I'm not putting a whole lot of confidence into that poster, it could be he has an agenda since most posters on internet forums do, but it's just another piece to the puzzle.

It could be disengenous, certainly, but it gives all reason to hope our guy may wear the tights next summer.

Now, the most recent post of his that Muscles so gleefully posted has me more doubtful of his veracity.

It seems more like he's pushing an agenda, but I guess we'll see eventually who's right and who's wrong.

These insiders really need to take grammar classes. Reading this crap gives me a headache.

WB has yet to announce an actor playing Superman for the JL flick, so there is a chance that Welling could be Supes, even if that chance is small.

I keep being told that one of the biggest problems that WB is having and something that they don't want to deal with is that the studio does not want to have three Supermans, Routh, Welling and new guy.

Some people at WB think that if Routh is brought back for Justice League it will help reinvigorate the solo franchise. A year later after the release of JL, Singer could come back and do his Man of Steel.

Will that happen? Don't know but I did hear that Routh had a meeting with Dan Lin, I don't know what the results of the meeting was.

Dan Lin had nothing to do with Superman Returns. Dan's the guy behind this JLA project.

Huh.... We knew dan lin had that meeting with Routh from the countingdown lady, but she said that Routh was told that MOS wasn`t happening.
Dan Lin is after all the guy that has been pushing for JLA, so it wouldn`t make sense if he was the one that talked to routh about him being in JL.
I still think it was to Tell Routh that MOS wasn`t happening and that they were going with another superman.


And as for Welling, Even when Robert said that the sources told him that the negotiations were dead. Jayne from countingdown said that they weren`t. So I believe her when she says that Routh wont be in JL.
She seems to have better info than Sanchez even.

This news is strange. Some of the first news we got was Dan Lin was against Christian and Brandon tied in with this film from the start.

And then the Welling rumors surfaced and things didnt work out.

I'd rather they just go with a new actor. With Smallville done by summer 09 and MoS out of the picture; there would be one actor playing the role at that point in time; not 2 or 3.

I dont know if Brandon met with Dan Lin but a week, or so, ago there were reports that Brandon met with WB but no one knew with whom or why.

I hope Welling gets the role. I like Routh but his acting is not the greatest and since almost everyone knows about Welling, he seems like the popular choice. I hope Gough and Millar lets him be Superman.

I was VERY glad to hear that they didn`t want 3 superman, that made my day. Because that means that they don`t want a third superman and would be willing to go the extra mile to get Welling.
Routh after all is associated with Singers movie, that disappointed them, so I seriously doubt that they`d be willing to sign him after the reception he got from the fans.
