Tom Welling as Superman

I just don't understand th WB. The show is about him becoming Superman so it doesn't make any sense whatsoever if he can't wear the suit in the last episode. That's like Bruce Wayne not being able to appear on the show. Smallville is supposedly a elseworld type of show so its not like its in the same universe and TDK. Heck, Bats and Supes in SR aren't even in the same universe! I don't see how it would be any confusing if Bruce showed up in Smallville while there's a TDK movie and its any less confusing when there are 2 Supermen at once, Welling and Routh.

The \S/ in SV has basically the same design, so is not a concern.

That's what I'm saying. That's why they should "update it" for the show. Give him the black suit.....I know he only wears the suit when he's bad but its one of the ways he won't look corny. Or let him wear the red and blue without the underwear outside and possibly without the cape.

Every actor is different. I don't think a suit that worked on Brandon would work on Tom. They have different body types.

If they do let Tom wear the suit in the final episode, it will be a different one. I can't see them recycling the SR suit. It would look worse on Tom than it had on BJ.

If they do let Tom wear the suit I only see them letting him do a shirt rip at the most. Not spending time showing the full suit. And if that is the case then I can see something like SR. But other then that I do hope he gets to wear the suit although I can see why the WB doesn't want him to or might not want him to.

When I say "why dont they just use the SR suit", I'm referring to the notion that the reason why they are not using a suit right now is because the studios dont want SV to clash with the current movies (hence why they used the SR symbol).

Not that I want or prefer the SR suit, but like I said its better than NO suit at all (even better than a blue/red blur flying through the sky which we will probably end up seeing anyways at the end).

If only the "geniuses" at WB could be cool and logical about things.... they had Smallville and SR on 2006, two Clarks, no problem. But having a young Bruce Wayne or the suit "conflicts with the movie franchise".... nonsense!

^^ They're different versions of the same character, that's why not allowing Bruce Wayne on SV is not logical, these restrictions are inconsistent. Same thing with the suit, they can have a new suit for the show, so what, is not going to destroy the franchise or anything.

like folks have said before the whole welling vs routh thing is never going to end even if neither of them is in the next film what ever it ends up being they will always be siding to one of them saying which they think is/was the better clark kent/superman.... As for that interview awhile ago where the producers said they might not be able to use the superman suit not even for the final moments of the last episode that would totally suck and like others have also said would be a major copout for all the fans of SV. Hopefully since right now superman film series is back in limbo once again like it was during the 90s hopefully the fools in charge will let the smallville folks have the suit. OR atless we get to see the S shield/shirt rip deal.

really? it looks really fake to me. they just pasted welling's face on reeves' body. it didn't look good IMO.
