I love this movie....it's basically a superhero movie in the guise of a western.

I admit, I haven't seen many westerns, but I love the whole look and feel and mise-en-scene of the western. I just find it attractive, and this movie nails that.

I love everything about it- the cast is pitch perfect, the dialogue, the pace, the action- everything about this movie comes together perfectly.

Show the love for a fine movie here.

I refuse to believe not one other person loves this movie :(

best. western. ever.

and doc holiday > everyone.

Hells yes.I love it when they think Wyatt and co are fleeing....but nope :D

I know how to touch you like no one else does..HELL YES ON THAT DVD. The commentary rocks. Its such a shame the director died, it made me sad :(But you get the actual map of how it happened, and a reprint of the tombstone epitaph!I love this movie so damn much...when doc is talking about johnny, about how he ''was born with a hole in him that nothing could ever fill'' but he was actually talking about himself too, and when he says ''my boots...they're off'' and dies, and wyatt giving him his book ''my friend doc holiday'' and how the message is how important brotherhood and friendship is...I just love it, as much as I love T2 Sarah Conner :D

I made a thread about it a little while back.

Yes...yes it was :)Paxton, Russell and Bien are so underrated...if they had Lance Henriksen they would have my absoloute dream cast. And Johnny Ringo s ure went out like a b-itch :p

Splendid movie.
Very well written, with excellent dialogue, and good, balanced humor that comes naturally and fits the characters (so rare these days) (Doc's "duel" with Ringo in the saloon is hilarious).
Great cast, with a wonderful Val Kilmer.
A sumptuous score by Bruce Broughton.

It's easily one of my favorite westerns and movies.
I saw it again recently, and also watched Wyatt Earp again; the latter is very good, a fine movie, which provides a lot or important background, but I really prefer Tombstone for all the reasons above; but they complete each other well.

As for Leone's westerns, I haven't seen any in a long while, except for one he only wrote, which is yet another of my all-time favorites: My Name Is Nobody; I got the 2DVD edition for my birthday about a week ago and was thus able to watch it that very same day.
It's a great transition from classic westerns to the more comical spaghetti tradition, in a rather balanced way; a beautiful tribute to "old" western movies and legends.

^^^^^^it definately isnt a wannabe, but Good the Bad the Ugly surely surpasses it.

Open Range with Costner is pretty good too.

I love the movie as well and watch it often. Good performances all-around. Val Kilmer and Michael Biehn definitely steal the show though.

I love Open Range, but c'mon, Unforgiven's the best western.

Kilmer's never been better, it's my favorite western. I could watch it every week

I haven't seen it in years,I'll have to see it again to retain some appreciation

Remember seeing it a while back, b***hin' movie.

He was the ultimate bad ass and even on his deathbed he kicked maximum amount of ass.

Tombstone is an awesome movie. Now you all have inspired me to watch it.

*Johnny Ringo Waiting For Wyatt Earp*

Johnny Ringo: Well Well Well, I didn't think you had it in you!

*Doc Holliday Appears*

*Johnny Ringo Freezes*

Doc Holliday: Why Johnny! You look like someone just walked all over your grave!

*Furious Styles bows down in awe*

I thought it was a good western but I prefer John Wayne movies

I personally thought Open Range was boring as hell.

I liked Unforgiven, but Tombstone is my favourite for the kick ass cast and the whole epic tone of the movie. It's just awesomeness on a disc
