Too early for a reboot?

and some blood and better CG claws :D ... and maybe a suit instead of a vest top

Or actually using "real claws" like they did for 3 movies. There was no reason to use cgi when a set of stainless steel would have done the job.

Not to mention really awful CGI that stands out like a sore thumb in every scene it appears.

How about safety? They've used CGI claws for fights from X2 onwards. When they use practical claws, they're often made of softer material so they would inflict less damage but people still get hurt.

I don't mean actually use a set of metal claws that are fully capable of killing. Take the scene where wolverine pops out his claws in the bathroom. The whole scene is cgi and looks bad because of it. They could have simply made metal looking props in this case. I agree that it would be unsafe to use them for fight scenes that require slice and dice + impalements. But for when wolverine is walking around. There doesn't need to be cgi.

Also in the case of X-men. The use of a reboot is needed because many characters simply can't fit into a series that may never take place after X-3 and taking into account the aging actors.

Now something like Spiderman or Iron man have a smaller cast .
