Theories on why Wolverine was called LOGAN in the film.

That's another aspect of the movie were they dropped the ball; why he went by the name Wolverine. It's VERY plausible that Wolverine was his military code name, as it's used in special ops teams world wide for real; as would be Sabertooth, Deadpool etc. Its used so that when they're communicating with each other in the field, the enemy won't know they're real names which could compromise the mission. Instead we get a sappy, soap opera type explaination as to why he took on that name. Completely took the badass element out of the name if you ask me.
