I thought 2009 was actually a really good year. There were some disappointments to me, like TS, and to a point Avatar. But it had some strong films this year.


1. District 9/Moon (I just keep fighting over which one so tie for these two)
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. Star Trek
4. The Hurt Locker
5. Watchmen (The Ultimate Cut)
6. The Road

One thing I will say there was not a "lot" of films this year. So I will just do a top "six". But those are the ones that were pretty damn good to me.

As for Harry Potter six they did a good job but I liked the previous film better , Boondock Saints 2 wasn't great but i will still enjoy the hell out of it.

Still have to see : Moon , Fantastic mr Fox , Red Cliff , Sherlock Holmes, Amelia, The Lovely Bones , Where the Wild things Are , The Hurt Locker , and Dr. Parnassus.

Both 2008 and 2009 were pretty weak imo. Sure I havent seen nearly all 2009 films that should be seen, but by the look of it it doesnt look strong.

2. Watchmen: Director's Cut (pretty good)
3. The Hangover (pretty good)
4. Star Trek (pretty good)
5. State of Play (pretty good)
6. Avatar (good)
7. Taken (good)
8. The International (average)
9. Sherlock Holmes (mediocre)
10. Terminator Salvation (awful)
