I don't think warner bros. music anticipated such a high demand. Gonna go again today to see if they have it. I checked an hmv store and they have 1 (just one!!) on order that was supposed to arrive on the 9th. Can you believe this? ONE!!!

To those inquiring about how "the ends justify the means", YES!... having this album in my hands after all the trips, phonecalls, etc is totally worth it. It's hard for me to believe, but I actually think that after that guy handed me the only copy they had when I was at the end of my rope last night at Borders - I think I may have actually SKIPPED across the store to the register. I'm 30 years old. God only knows if the rest of the store, including any security watching me on CCTV, thought I was high or something.

I really do wonder now after all the reports from you guys what the heck happened?!?! I know it's only a score - and it's hard for me to type that ("only a score"??) but come on! God forbid you do this when the DVD is supposed to release - lol! Walmarts and Best Buys all over will be razed to the ground.

For those of you still looking - seriously, try Borders Books & Music if you have one. That was my saving grace after no-go's at Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target, FYE, and Barnes & Nobles. Heck, it seems as if even Amazon let us down!

I preordered as soon as it was available for preorder. It shipped yesterday morning...and is now about here.

I checked it a few moments ago and it left the Memphis station early this morning.

Maybe it'll get here today....maybe......

That sucks it says it'll take till later in the month to get.

Ah. Maybe you pre-order yours after mine (i order it Aug.31) , and Amazon is going by a first come, first serve basis, as it said i was getting mine 10/17/- 10/24. Still don't understand what's going on as far as the release date E mail...

I gotta say, this music is utterly drop dead fantastic... you can listen to it and just get completely lost in it... it's that damn good.

You ain't kiddin'. I left it on last night as I tried to work on a big project for class due tomorrow - that is, after I listened to it non-stop and did nothing else for hours already.

It quickly became apparent that the music was so engrossing I could not listen to it and work on my project at the same time - so I did the thing that made the most sense and stopped doing my work.

Wtf? Did you get a shipping confirmation yet?

I got a confirmation from Amazon that mine had shipped on MONDAY (it's due here on or about 10/12) and it is in the mail as we speak. I haven't got any idea what's going on with them right now other than it seems that Warners has said the online vendors like Amazon can't keep up with the demand and are feverishly ordering more from Warners. Maybe that's their difficulty??

Hey Zenefan,

even though I am of hungarian origin, I´ll write in english. It´s a bit mothballed. I just found the links yesterday in another blog, so I did not do any damage at all. I will buy the Score too, but Amazon still says 4-6 weeks for shipping & delivering. And the others in the Dollar-Zone are lucky with the price. They get the score for 19.99 USD while I here in Germany have to pay 19.99 EUR. Recalculated that would be appox. 28,3 USD. And the most embarassing is, that the Soundtrack costs only 14.95 EUR at Amazon.de.
Don´t get it wrong, I will buy but won´t let them take way too much cash out of my pockets. For the 2CD version 19.99 EUR are o.k., but not for the single-CD version.

This is pretty much the reason I don't trust anything but iTunes when it comes to music. If you can install the program (works on Mac and PC) and have a credit/debit card, or purchase an online gift card at a store somewhere, iTunes is really the cheapest, safest, and most release-date conscious source for music

I'm torn here as well... I have the cd but I remember clearly how BAD I wanted it (like we all did/do) and how long we waited. I KNOW it's not S. Jablonsky's fault that whatever the heck system-wide screw up happened and it's VERY unfair to him that this lack of availability has driven those who would have purchased it in a heartbeat to download it via means other than iTunes. I can only hope that those that do are just doing so to hold them over and that they will certainly still proceed to purchase this unbelievable work of art for their own when it does become available.

It will be interesting if it's ever revealed what devilry was at work to prevent the masses from getting their hands on this. Seems like a very cruel joke.

From ITUNES you can have it Now (like I do) while you wait for the CD to be delivered (like I am from Amazon.com, yes I purchased BOTH.
