You definately get a vibe that Clu and Flynn don't see eye to eye in the grid concept trailer. The moment when Clu's face is shown , he looks up towards the building/window where Flynn is and Flynn then moves away.
To me it looks more like Flynn is disappointed with Clu.

Also kickass just mentioned comic-con.
Keep an eye on sites like variety because Disney is screening PoP & Toy Story 3 at this year's SHOWEST but chances are that they might have some new Tron material as well.

I remember when that used to be a big number. Hell, I remember when $100 mil was big (T2).

Now it seems almost every big move is pushing 200.

The VFX are the main reason why the budget are going so high.
Look at John Carter of Mars. Similarly shot ( against a blue screen) , also a 3-d release by Disney ( & Pixar) and also has a budget of 200 million ( or more).

Tron Legacy won't be the most expensive movie made ( that honor belongs to Avatar) but like Brides says , it is right up there in the 200 million club along with Quantum Of Solace ,POTC 2 & 3 , Spiderman 2 & 3 and many others.

I am surprised ( or better yet impressed) with Disney having enough confidence in Kosinski to basically give him the reigns of a 200 million dollar movie. Not only that but this is his FIRST movie.Guess those short videos really sealed the deal

I agree. I thought the concept grid trailer was far better .
If i'd rate the trailer the 2nd one would get "looks cool "response from me whereas the first one gets a 'OMG , GREATESY MOVIE EVAH , ****ED MY PANTS !!!!! " reaction

Ditto. It's been 8 years since i saw the movie but i do remember that i bored . Not to mention the FX which are dated. But the grid concept updated everything well enough to make me interested in the movie itself. I still won't buy the original movie unless Disney decides to upgrade the movie itself but Legacy is definately the movie i'm most looking forward too

I'm surprised too. I got hyped for this film without remembering anything about the first film. I only rewatched the original a week ago because the trailer for Tron Legacy looked so awesome.
